Is it worth installing airtightness tape around the edges of my new windows?

If I am renovating my 1980's bungalow and installing new windows should I also add airtightness tape around the edges to seal against air leakage?

Just had triple glazed windows fitted , they used a spray foam instead of tape?

If it's a new house you certainly need a tape

I believe its good practice even for an older house
