I don't know why the Soviet player always gets criticized when losing against the more overpowered Allies faction.
Picking sovs was his call after all.
I like sovs and I believe they're actually the strongest faction (best armor and dps), but they also require more skill since their units are the most specialized of all factions.
You can't just spam cryocopters and vindicators or tengus as sovs :P
MrDrury27 Dimon is also one of the best sovs player I've seen.
MrDrury27 Allies units are more specialized if anything, most of them have major weaknesses while excel at what they do. The Allies just have overall better units than the Soviets, and a lot more gimmicks like they always do.
Soviets does spam units, it's one of the faction's major designs. Because Soviets units do not have a lot of useful utilities aside from pure damage, they also require less micro to be used effectively. So a lot of the gameplans revolve around swarming their enemies with large amounts of cheaper units like hammer tanks. And Soviets players does spam a lot of it.

@@Insomnia1234o00o The thing about micro management is obviously not true.
The issue with the soviet units is that they have great damage, but they need to be in control of the situation with the numbers and also need to have opponents where they must be for their weapons to work.
In short... They have to utilize terror drones, bears, micro-management, tesla trooper's and those funny tesla boat's special abilities.
The amazing mobility of the units of other factions gives them the ability to dodge dangers posed by the V4, Apocalypse Tanks, Flak Troopers, Dreadnoughts...
Everything.
On the other hand you have units that act more as support to those heavy-hitting but inaccurate units.
Those are the Bullfrogs, Akula Subs, Terror Drones...
Those perform various functions.
But in the end, during spam offenses...
Core, slow units work together with fast, support units to seal the deal.
I think that the strategy can be actually complex, I'd go prove it to you all folks, but my pc is shite at the moment and the game itself isn't that very much popular so...
Guess, we'll just have to dream....

I had watched that game too and i would say, you miss so Many attacks. In this game both players attacked each other from several fronts at the same time 2,3 and even 4 fronts at the same time While defending attacks from opponent. So it was bad you stay focused on a single attack and forget the others

I'm probably late but in my experience ra3 in 2018 soviets is the best naval and ground army for me also in infinity isle the best way to hide a naval army is in the corner to prevent it from being scouted I put defenses around the corner
The empire has the best naval strength since they have the Giga Fortress and Shogun Battleship which is an amazing siege unit and superior damage to both the dreadnoughts and the aircraft carriers. Plus their sky and sea wing are also very good.
Allies dominate ground and sky.
Don't think this is the truly ability of Dimon
