This will most likely be my final Digimon match before EX-03 drops this Friday and we enter the EX-03 tournament next week, so I've added a bit of an 'appetiser' (those who've watched the video will know haha). Hope you guys enjoy it and I'll see you guys when a new battle begins next week! Also, after making this match, I think I now understand Bandai's reasoning for not giving the Dracmon line the 'X-Antibody' trait. My guess is that they initially planned to, but after playtesting, they realised it would be too powerful due to the combined synergy with the Dex line. The result was the deck becoming a bit clunky, so they supplemented it with SkullBaluchimon which helps to bridge the gap they created.
I generally dislike how Dexmon (and chimeramon) can be splashed everywhere and make such a big impact in games, but this time it is very thematically relevant!
I forgot that Digimon TCG hands could get big, especially with evolving from the trash. So I was in disbelief when you discarded so many cards. Still. This was a very fun matchup. Good luck on EX03 coming up.

It had a "Even in the darkest of shadows, there will always be a glimmer of light" kinda feel to it, at least for me. Aye, GranDracmon is one of my favourite Digimon (As well as Dracmon, Sangloupmon and Matadormon), so seeing them putting in work always makes my day; that comeback was insane! Don't care if it's not the best deck in the world; it looks fun and I'd totally have a go at it if I could. I think the real reason they don't have the X Antibody trait is because they removed said trait from the line in the reference book, so it's reflecting that (and they're not the only ones either).
I really love your videos alot. I keep coming back and rewatching all the Digimon battles every few days it feels xD (really in the digimon hype atm too). There is just something you do that makes the videos alot more hype than most TCG videos :) Sadly I only really care about the Digimon tcg ^^‘ Thank you for the great content!

I've been getting really excited for GranDracmon, even if it's not a top tier competitive deck, but there's very little content out there for it - just a couple of games where it supplements, say, DexDorugoramon. Love to see how it can pop off like this, especially with SkullBaluchimon. SO hype!
Why the fangmon? Wouldnt something like eyesmon be better for the draw 3? Also i would play call from darkness. It Triggers dexdorugoramon, and helps in grind games

Yes, I did consider teching Anubis as well! But there are pros and cons. Since he is 'Shaman', he can't be abused with GranDrac's free Trash evolve. And rather than a deck that swarms many Digimon from the Trash in 1 turn (so giving them Rush would be devastating), GranDrac's playstyle is more of resurrecting 1 each turn and Trash evolving it in prep for next turn. But yes, if you manage to setup Anubis, the Rush can accelerate the engine by immediately enabling the entire line's [On Attack]/[End of Attack] effects for Trash evo
Question how where you able to use skull effect on do reduction. From what I was told that on deletion effect can’t resolve because it’s not being deleted by an effect. It’s being deleted by game mechanics. So they don’t trigger
You were told wrong. [On Deletes] trigger even with DP minus, unless its a card like BT5 Guilmon which specifies '[On Delete] If deleted by an effect...'

The Gulfmon being trashed at the very beginning of the game was the best chekhov's gun moment I've seen in a card game.
