- This is Round 3 of the Blast Ace Rumble, a tournament featuring 8 decks from the 14th main booster of the Digimon Card Game: Blast Ace. The next two decks to clash are Gomamon and Sukamon. The Blue Gomamon deck takes evolution card removal to a new level, combining it with elements of Jamming, freezing and consecutive attacks to control the opponent's board state while surely but certainly inching towards victory. On the other hand, the Yellow / Black Sukamon deck has gained new support that brings the best out of its Yellow side, with Security manipulation and Security effects that can trigger insane combos. Which side will persevere!?

Apologies for the delay on this one! Currently caught up in some PhD examinations so I'm glad the first decent match I caught on camera was relatively short. Now, regarding this matchup, shortly into playtesting I realised this matchup wasn't the most favourable for Suka... First, the Suka archetype is one that is blessed with some extremely powerful inheritables that the deck is heavily reliant on. Unfortunately, source removal tears all of that away. Second, once those sources are torn away, Ikkakumon / Marching Fishes can freeze the Suka army, inhibiting their ability to aggro and force out their [On Delete] effects in Security battles. That slows down the Sukas considerably. THIRD, if the Sukas try to avoid source removal by swarming multiple cheap Digimon without evolution cards... CrysPaledra and Azulong come in to wreak havoc. So frankly, as a MEGA SUKA/ETE FAN, playtesting this matchup was quite nightmarish for me .. they barely got any wins in. WHY ARE MY FAVOURITE DECKS FATED TO SUFFER ON MY CHANNEL AAAAAAAAAA
question: when plesiomon (turned into sukamon) attacked sec and hit Etemon, wasn't it supposed to die cause it had only 3k and Etemon had 7k? or because of the security effect the battle never happened?
@@SinMissils Even after Plesio was turned into a Suka, it still had Jamming from Bukamon's inheritable since the condition was met

wouldn't Hexeblaumon do a better job than Azulongmon? I mean evolving into that guy seems way safer than evolving into Plesiomon or Azulongmon when you feel like you're not ready to OTK yet

As someone who has Gomamon and Plesiomon as one of their favourites digimon, all I can say is, LET'S GOOOO! I love how this deck can have Gomamon as a finisher, it's cool and funny at the same time. It does kinda suck that it's kinda an OTK deck, but oh well.
Also, it was an interesting matchup, I was on at the edge of my seat during the end game, Scumon really put Gomamon against the ropes (or at least that how it I saw it)
Suka always loses. Which is actually kinda nice because it makes me feel less bad about losing with it 90% of the time 😂

@@tyrantking2322 Because it's a fun, silly deck and I _want_ to play with it. I just don't win much. But then again I didn't win much with Machinedramon either so it's probably more the player (me) than the deck 😂

With T.K. having fallen to the D-Brigade/Digipolice alliance in the Blast Ace Rumble, Joe feels the need to stand up for the rest of the Digidestined and prove their worth. Not that he wouldn't have been trying hard to begin with, of course, given how embarrassing it would be to lose against his opponent, a Sukamon team. All the same, it seems they've made a few alliances of their own, including with a figure the Digidestined aren't fond of seeing again. Will Gomamon's and Joe's new abilities and techniques prove reliable enough to clinch the win? Or will the royal force the Sukamon pack clog up up the pair's efforts?
This was so much more fun than I expected. Also I have a friend who keeps seeing his favourite decks either lose round 1 or go to round 2 cuz they versed another of his favourite decks and proceed to lose right after, so this result is just one more into the meme LMAO

I'm so happy that Gomamon came out on top. I've made a deck similar to this but I sometimes have problems finding the cards I need, so I've put in a few search cards (and also 1 BT1 Ikkakumon for more unblockable shenanigans). Still super happy the same 4-check / omnimon Blitz combo almost happened!
Dude this match is so sick!!!! I have been wanting to play sukamon for a while now and seeing how it works and how fun it seems I'm even more hyped!!! Honestly this video was so good! The editing, the music and the feeling of losing security all hit perfectly, it was amazing!!! Keep up the good work!
I'm actually super mad about that result especially because it was so paper thin close. There were some super good opportunities for the BT14 Etemon to get something set up. At the very least, I enjoyed how that Plesiomon was deleted and how much more the Sukamon deck can do. Oh well. Maybe another time.

Yikes, the suka deck can never catch a break on rustmarrow's channel from getting knocked out first round by garudamon to that legendary deck out loss to galacticmon it keeps getting wrecked. When will poop deck get a W.

Nope, it's not a "By X, do Y" effect. Goma always becomes unblockable at Start of Main Phase.

When a digimon is turned into a sukamon does it keep it's original effects or does it effectively become a vanilla digimon?
It keeps its effects!

@@gumdroplollipop it makes perfect sense. MTG uses the "change a creature into another creature and it loses its abilities" effect all the time. just verifying that it worked that way.

I just had this kinda matchup earlier on the day this video got uploaded, the sukamon player couldn't break past my defenses nor defend against my restanding sec + 1 jamming swings lol

@@rustmarrow yeah a fellow blue player told me earlier today that Gomamon was a Sukamon hard counter, regardless to say that sukamon player wasn't able to steal a single game from me today

Sukamon managed to win a few games when Goma bricked, but often just by aggroing instead of setting up their KingEte board
i really love sukamon but i think kingetemon just isnt strong enough, i think playing either quartzmon or venusmon still is just better

este duelo está mal. kingetemon da efecto de Bloquer y no pueden ser levantados a la mano los digimon's con sukamon y etemon en su nombre, pudo fácil bloquear y ganar la partida. que fail.
El efecto gomamons hace que no se pueda bloquear.
