Wow. Good pace. Easy to watch and super informative in fairly short time. Does not waste our time showing lengthy cleaning steps, etc. Best video I have watched on my scooter issue.

Thanks for the how to video. Quite thorough and gives a great detail on the started rebuild. Is there any way you could point out where the loose ground wide is located? I believe I've got the same issue on my scooter. Everything is checking out and Ive never had issues with the starter. It just wouldn't start one day immediately after a ride. I was going right back out. I did get it to start while trying to check the voltage, and would like to be sure I get that connection secure before I get out on a ride and am unable to get it to start.

Hey! Thanks for the comment and the support!
For me was the little ground cable it's attached to one the CVT screws on the cover right next to the Variator air vent, mine was lose on the frame nut, make sure both ends are nice, tight and corrosion free, and also check the one it's next to the battery on the frame. Hope it helps!
      Peace✌

Pulled my starter on my GTS250IE today. Did everything as described here. Armature and brushes were filthy and cleaned up. However brushes were worn down way too much. Thought I’d reassemble it and bench test my work even though I wasn’t going to use this worn out starter. BIG PROBLEM trying to get the two long screws to go into the far end cap because the magnets kept pulling them out of position. I could get one in but not the second one. Any secrets? Thanks.

Thanks for the comment! It’s not a digital clock, it’s actually a temperature sensor I swapped inside!

My Vespa motor is not turning. I clean the variator, clutch and kick start. Everything looks ok but still not turning. I didn’t have to put any tool to hold the variator for not moving is not turning. I don’t want to keep taking things out that is not need it

      Hello! thanks for he comment!
So what you're saying is your variator doesn't move at all? that's strange, you may have something else going on there... not 100% sure since I'm not an experienced mechanic on Vespas but it could be something with your piston or crankshaft or something else, I've never encounter with this type of issue, but this video is about fixing the starter motor if it's not fully working when the electric start button is pushed, but by what you're describing it may be something else is no related with the three main things to check first when a bike is not starting which is fuel, air, and spark... if you're not sure what you're doing I recommend contacting a local mechanic.
