You got all four levels of rail transit: the cable cars on the hills, the streetcars on Market Street, the Muni Subway below that and BART below Muni. Good job!
@Angel Jose Mendoza It''s over a mile from the Caltrain depot to Embarcadero Station- not really what most people would call "close" when it comes to making transit connections. Hopefully (with the passage of the infrastructure bill and the electrification of Caltrain) it won't be very long before Caltrain tunnels all the way to the Salesforce Center, and then it truly will be close to Embarcadero Station.
Why are the station announcements on bart so difficult to understand? I don't think the trains have announcements either (stuff like "This is Embarcadero, change for, the muni metro" or "this is a yellow line train to Millbrae"
QuarioQuario54321 it’s run by a PA system. Some drivers do say what you can transfer too but most just say what stop and what line the train is at and is going
Figured this was a holiday or weekend. The Embarcadero station is packed at weekday rush hours. Very nice video, in fact all your videos are well shot. Especially like your NYC subway videos. Have any plans to go to Tokyo?
+MrStevenjv I'd love to go to Tokyo (again), it's one of my favorite places for public transport. I had been there a few years ago, but had no filming equipment back then.
Muni buses go to every BART station in SF. If you want to go from BART to the Muni subway trains, you can connect at BART’s Embarcadero, Montgomery, Powell, Civic Center and Balboa Park stations. Muni trains come close to the Glen Park station too, but it’s a bit of a walk.
Visitors are the largest ridership on cable cars by far. A $20 Muni 1 day visitor passport pays for itself with 3 cable car trips. The passport can also be used on any Muni rail and bus lines.
Thank you! this video really helps! Since I’m gonna travel the BART/MUNI alone for the first time!
i like it when the announcements for both BART and MUNI come on at the same time

@Angel Jose Mendoza There's Caltrain at Embarcadero Station?

Good job! I use this station often and you've captured the station and the area around it quite well.
+scheis123 Thank you :-)
You are well-traveled! Great videos!

Why do the Bart conductors stick their heads out the window when leaving the station? Is it to make sure every car is getting pulled properly?
To ensure the train can leave
They also do that to make sure there aren’t idiots trapped in the door
Nice !
What about the Powell station
What about it?
+Luftschlange well I was thinking it would be nice to see the Powell station also. Great video by the way.

I've been to Japan (and Tokyo) 3 times myself. For me it is train heaven.
It absolutely is!
Which bart stations can you transfer to muni

San Francisco is soooooo expensive now....... It's like $7 for a cable car ride
I remember when it was like 1 dollar lol

I visited San Francisco when the cable car cost only $2.50 one way or $5.00 round trip.
There's no subs :(
+YoImShepard Sorry, I guess I was lazy this time. ;)
