    Why do I think these BART trains are so cool? I love watching them take off.

      it's not bad at all if you don't mind fog. also that DC station is filthy. piss smells everywhere and one day after work I found 5 used needles on the staircase.

    When I go to Bart I am First at Hayward station and then I go to 24 mission street and come back with the Dublin/Pleasant train and stop at bay fair and then wait for warm springs

      +Rolando Ruiz The noise inside is horrible. Riding from SF Airport. Lovely till train goes into the tunnel. Fingers in ears stuff.
      (except for the Bakerloo Line in London approaching Regents Pk stn. but that was yrs ago so maybe they've fixed that by now._

      I heard during rebuild, they've replaced the propulsion motor exact like the one for NYCMTA subway, I think Bombardier motor!

    the C stock i guess is shorter than the A/B stock
    i need help with the BART system since im more of a new york train lover

    • @crazyoncoffee
      @crazyoncoffee 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are not shorter necessarily. The C1/C2 stock both have cabs integrated into the main compartment/width of the train, reducing the capacity by 4 seats, the space the cab takes up. They were built later than the A/B stock because BART realised that having cab cars with the odd nose cone (A stock) that can't couple in the middle was a bad idea. C stock allows them to couple a five and four car train into a nine-car without rearranging at the depot, the can just do it at a terminal station. The A stock cab is different because the cab is in the nose that juts out from the central length of the car, making the car itself longer.

    Why do subway trains and make those creepy sounds whenever they come to a Holt or start up again?

    • @jakebluethunder
      @jakebluethunder 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Funny thing is when I used to ride BART back in the 1990's, I never recalled those noises being so loud or high pitched.

    • @T_K_O_
      @T_K_O_ 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jakebluethunder You're right, they didn't make these noises around that time. Should've only been a buzzing sound from all of the trains. Late 90s through the early 2000s were when trains were refurbished with the new propulsion systems

    You must visit prague metro!

    • @Luftschlange
      @Luftschlange  9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I have visited prague on multiple occasions already, as you can probably tell from the banner of my channel. It is one of my favorite cities and I particularly love the trams there. I had only taken photographs but the next time I'll get a chance to visit, I'll try to do some filming as well.

      Look at RH&D railway then

    • @rpf276
      @rpf276 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Since BART tracks are a larger gauge 1,676 mm (5' 6") Indian gauge vs 1,435 mm (4' 8 1/2") standard BART rail cars actually have more room and are wider inside than a standard metro underground rail car.

    • @dnglchlk
      @dnglchlk 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It looks much wider in person. I know because I've been on it plenty.
