Mesmerizing. Unbelievable. Yep. Saw that on your face. And yes, they did write All of their own songs, as well as loads of number ones for other artists. They had 100 top ten hits when they were at their pinnacle.
This was a group that came from a time when talent and not the "look" of a band determined everything. And with the Gibb brothers...they were just blessed with talent! Barry, Robin, Maurice, and Andy (who was a solo artist, but did perform with his older brothers) just had it all. This is, hands down, my favorite Bee Gees song. The strings backing the guys, the harmonies of Barry in falsetto, Robin layered in, and Maurice on the lower range...just magic. And the lyrics are probably the most romantic in pop music history. Your face said everything...you were enthralled! Yeah...they had that power. RIP, Robin. RIP, Maurice.
Yes they write ALL their own songs. They have been doing this since they were kids. Their harmonies are perfection - no autotune. I have seen them at interviews in a studio just break into those harmonies. Unbelievable. Every generation has some great music but the Bee Gees catalog is just timeless and amazing.
You are so respectful in that you let the music take you over without interrupting every 10 seconds like so many others do who review. Love your expression.
I'm a serious heavy metal, progressive rock, and punk rock fan, and I *love* this band, and especially, this song! There is so much heart and soul in this piece of musical art. I listen to, and enjoy, some of the heaviest and most extreme music out there, but I *love* beautiful love songs like this too, and I wish that we still had bends doing them today! If there are some, and I just don't know about them, I would love to know!
bee gees, Gibbs brothers band. the only member that is still alive is Barry Gibbs. im 90's generation, and their songs were my first english songs i heard.
Auto-tune really messed up the music business. Being close I remember listening to a finished album & Producer playing it for me saying. Sound great huh thanks but they can’t go on tour to sing in person. He took a terrible group I heard the day before and the next day he comes back I thought it was a different group- producer just did his Studio magic. Think about it.
I’m a hard rock guitar player but I super enjoy this guys. Their music take me to another galaxy. You can search this guys singing a cappella and you can see they were born to sing, to deliver art.
It was amazing to watch your mind being blown reacting to this song. The history behind this song makes it even more amazing. Long story short, The BeeGees were tasked with writing the greatest ballad ever and this is the result.
Actually.. Born on the Isle of Mann... Famous for it's motorcycle races. I always thought they were born in England too.. Until I went to the Isle of Mann for the TT races and saw a "Birthplace of the BeeGee's" sign with a statue of them in Douglas.
A very dear girlfriend of mine, born in China and never heard the BeeGees before she met me. Long story short, i had her listen to some of the Bee Gees, and she got blown away, pouf, completely fell in love with the group. I miss her sometimes...
As someone born in 1970, I am old enough to appreciate real music. The younger generations would be totally blown away if they did what you're doing now...and that is to expand your mind. The Bee Gee's is a timeless group or real life brothers who made it big in the music industry. Their song make me cry, too...because the harmony is unlike any other. I've been a fan for a long time. It's nice to see you appreciate the beauty of their music. They're one of the best groups ever!
I love how you just give yourself over to the music. It seems, you listen not with just your ears, but also your heart. The emotional response on your face, made me emotional as well, even though I've heard this song hundreds of times. ☺️
I've been listening to this song for 40 years, and my reaction is ALWAYS just like yours! I stop what I'm doing and just enjoy. I want a love like they sing about!

Every time I hear the Bee Gees sing I get goosebumps wow! Barry's got an amazing voice. I love this band for years. Gorgeous! God bless. I love you Bee Gees thank you to the person who owns the channel. It's first time watching it but I subscribed to you
Didn't get to appreciate the Bee Gees until retirement, heard their songs but didn't know who they were. At age 70, ten years ago, I now know. Learned a little more about them. It's a type of music some people don't care for but I enjoy their songs. Thanks young lady.
I grew up in the 60s and 70s and have been a Bee Gees fan for a very long time. But I like their pre-disco era songs like, "Words", "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart", "Massachusetts", "I Started A Joke", "I've Got To Get A Message To You" and "Love You Inside And Out".
How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" (1971) ,"Nights on Broadway" (1975), More Than a Woman (1977) , Night Fever(1977),Tragedy (1979) are a few I really like
If you listen to How to mend a broken heart also listen to All Green's version..not the live performance because he truly drags out such a beautiful song
Guilty was an incredible collab with Barbra Streisand. Love the pureness of your reaction. We're all just sitting around with you enjoying the music ❤ Thanks for this ⚘
I know it's been a while since you did this reaction but you made to laugh out loud. I could tell while they were singing you were mesmerized.Cute. They were IT during the disco years. Great dance music. The love songs made many a couple fall in love. It was a great time. You should have been there.
Thank you for your genuine reaction *subscribed* Another Bee Gees song you would probably enjoy is "More than a woman" , my personal favorite from them.
your reactions are so genuine. it takes me back when I first heard The Bee Gees as a kid. I fell in love instantly. Barry is just a beautiful man. He has written many hits for other artists as well. Keep on enjoying the music.
Past their DISCO DAYS, The Bee Gees STILL had wonderful harmony together. I'd love for you to hear their song called "You Win Again." It's another song of theirs I love. I commented on your reaction to "Too Much Heaven" by them, and, I can honestly say that I don't know which song by them I love the best ... So, I would also like to see your reaction to "Words." It's another great one by them. TY for sharing this video.
Recently seen some of your reactions. Seen your emotions with some songs. I listen to a wide range of music. BeeGees up there for me, heard when was a kid. Apreciate the reaction. ☺
They never wrote a bad song in 5 decades. You should be dancing also has their younger brother Andy singing with them. Andy also was a song writer and was successful in his own right. He wasn't a BeeGee because he was so much younger. Barry announced Andy would be joining the group in January 1988 but unfortunately he passed away early March just days after his 30th birthday. It's so good to see another generation discover what we grew up with. They wrote their own material as well as for many other artists including Diana Ross, Celine Dion, Dion Warrick, Barbara Streisand and Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. Also wrote with Michael Jackson.
It's kind of a welcome blessing just watching your reaction to such Beautiful sounds most of us have never forgotten. Thanks for the tears again. PEACE!
Thank you for reacting to the video.I love to share good music with folks & watch their reaction. This is my favorite Bee Gees song.It makes me cry, think & melt.I respect the artists & their music.I'm proud & happy for their success.Music is necessary & healing.
Without a doubt, you need to react to Stayin' Alive. Now this is a song you have absolutely heard of before, whether you realize it's the Bee Gee's or not. EVERYONE knows this one and has heard it at least once in their lifetime. Other BG songs that you also need to react to are Night Fever, Jive Talkin', More Than a Woman....just to name a few.
Love You Inside Out, Spirits Having Flown, Fanny (Be Tender With My Love), Love So Right, How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, Lonely Days, Run to Me, Alive, To Love Somebody, New York Mining Disaster 1941, I Started A Joke,Words, Nights On Broadway, Jive Talkin, You Should Be Dancing, You Win Again, Bodyguard. Those are most of their released singles during the 60s, 70s, and 80s.They had amazing songs that were not singles. The Bee Gees were no more when. Maurice Gibb died in 2003 They also wrote and produced successful songs for Barbra Streisand, Dionne Warwick, Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson. Diana Ross, Jimmy Ruffin They also each did solo work. The Gibb Brothers have a very deep rabbit hole of amazing songs Barry has done 2 solo albums since his brothers passed away.. First I wanna say, how cute are you with your little afro puffs! You're adorable! And I love this tune, I remember when we owned the vinyl 45 single of it back in the late 70s. Over time it's become probably my favorite Bee Gees song, just because it's so beautiful. And yup, they wrote that!
Yes Pink! You should check out their whole list of greatest hits on TH-cam! There’s a lot more where those songs came from! Blessings!! I LOVE THE BEE GEES…I love watching young people like you fall in love with them too! 💗
My name is Jerry Chavez from Denver Colorado Just love your awesomeness. As your learning the Bee Gees are legends.. I was Blessed to grow up with their Beautiful Music. Please you have to React to Another Beautiful song by these amazing artists. The name of the song is More Than A Woman By the Bee Gees.. You will be so amazed and blown away. Love your reactions.
I had heard many different covers of this song as a kid and when I found out in high school that the Bee Gees had originally sung this song I was mind blown because I was used to hearing their material from the 70s
I'm more of a rock guy, but I definitely have an appreciation for the Bee Gees and I do like their songs. This also brings back memories of growing up in the 70s. They also had a younger brother, Andy. Andy was only 30 or 31 when he died. Barry is the only surviving brother. They all had solo songs also. Stayin Alive is another great song. Night Fever is another. Liar is another. I Started A Joke was from the the late 60s. Massachusetts is another song. Quite frankly, they had so many great hits.
@@wendydubois3872 it definitely was sad. So much talent and sadly he couldn't battle and defeat his inner demons. He dated Victoria Principal who tried to help him along with his brothers.
@@wendydubois3872 on a lighter note, I was born and raised in central PA and graduated high school with Dubois. He also had a younger brother and sister. Do you pronounce your name the French way or like du boyz? They pronounce their name like du boyz. There is also a town in PA called DuBois and the town is also pronounced like du boyz.
I remember listening to the beegees when I was a little kid. Sitting on a beanbag in front of the pioneer stereo (hifi!) Spinning vinyl with those giant 70s headphones. Good times.
@@Mimeniia Maybe these days. Back then it was top of the line sound reproduction. I still have it and it still sounds better than anything out there. And those fosgate speakers with the built in amplifiers! Crystal clear pin-drop sound and bass so low and powerful it actually rattles your bones and makes your vision blurry.
Bee Gees, love them, always have, I watch them on youtube all the time, the full concerts. They not only wrote their own songs, but wrote for other artists like Barbra Streisand Guilty album.
What a great reaction Another to check out would be To love somebody…and to start your day I recommend a dose of You should be dancing. It will set the vibe for the rest of the day ❤
Loving your reactions. There's a purity to the Bee Gees that stayed all through their 40+ year career! An amazing rabbit hole of hits. Try Staying Alive, Fanny be tender with my love, Run to Me, How can you mend a broken heart, Jive Talking, You Win Again...just to get you started. And yes, they wrote all of their songs as well as songs for Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, etc. Barry Gibb is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for songwriting. You have a lot to enjoy coming up. My favourite band for over 40 years!
The greatest group ever. Wrote songs not only for themselves, but for many famous singers around the world. And proud to say they were born on the Isle of Man. 30 mile across the Irish sea from Northern Ireland where I live. Also have a listen to them singing Ellan Vallin. A song for the place of their birth. Robin Gibb has the voice of an angel. Have a listen
I’m 33 and one of the TV stations in my country used to play this song every night when I was growing up and I never missed it. My favourite music group. And yes….they’re among the greatest song writers of all time and even wrote songs for other great singers (Islands in the Stream, recorded by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers). Check out their song, “For Whom the Bell Tolls”.
Enjoy watching the reactions of the younger generation listening to what was probably the best era of music. You are the first I've seen who doesn't ruin it by keep pausing it. Wel done you. A real reaction.
Even as a kid this song was a favorite and I would bawl like a baby every time I heard it...Still works. 😭😊😊😊Their harmonies give me chills in a good way.
Great and genuine reaction 😃. When you resume your Bee Gees reactions will you react to “Fanny be tender with my love” and “Love so right” I promise you will love 😃😉
This is beautiful to watch! Your emotions and wonder are written large all across your face. You have much more of a rabbit hole to go down with the Bee Gees - extremely talented group. I envy your voyage of discovery.
Everyone laughs about Disco, but I danced with a beautiful woman at night under on a Disco floor lights to this song. It was pretty magical. Girls dressed up . Guys learned how to dance. If you need more material, watch some Joni Mitchell. Amelia, Coyote or Clouds.
Loved your reaction to my fave group! New subscriber. Their catalog is immense and spans from the 60s to early 2000s. And Barry is still going! I Started a Joke. Nights on Broadway. Lonely Days. NY Mining Disaster. Jive Talkin. Wind of Change. Words. How Can You Mend a Broken Heart. Alone. This is Where I Came In. And many more!
During the Disco era, they did a song called "Stayin' Alive" that became a mega-hit. Ironically, it has become the song that the American Heart Association selected as the rhythm of CPR. The rhythm is exactly the pace of the compressions to save lives. So, now the title has a double meaning, "Stayin' Alive" helps keep people alive.
I was so fortunate to see them in 1979 at the Summit in Houston, Texas during their Spirits Having Flown Tour. An unexpected surprise was she John Travolta came out and danced to " You Should Be Dancing ". I've never heard a crowd screaming so loud before or since. It was too wonderful to actually relate !
Ray Bull completely right! This is one of the RARE occasions when you happen to put the one of the best lyrics with the greatest harmonies to some of the most phenomenal music ever recorded by one of the best producers.. Timeless and arguably the greatest love song ever recorded...
This is definitely one of the most beautiful songs ever written. I think when you see them walking off in the end of the video you don't want them to walk away because you don't want the song to end!
You have in two videos (Bee Gees) restored my faith in today's youth. It was a pleasure to watch your face as you enjoyed this video. You are an incredible young woman with a knowledge and breadth of music appreciation.
The Bee Gees were absolutely great. If you love harmonies and want to hear something more contemporary, I recommend that you check out Pentatonix. You could start with Hallelujah.
LOVE your Bee Gees reactions….& please continue down this road of their great music from 60’s to to 2001🎼!!! Btw, the tee shirt you’re wearing that says “love & hope”…: that’s the name of the annual benefit the Gibb’s plan & are ambassadors for every year since mid 80’s in Miami….The Love & Hope Benefit and Ball which benefits the Diabetes Research Institute!
Not only did they write songs for themselves, they wrote tons of other hit songs for other artists. I heard once that they wrote around 500 songs, not sure how accurate that is but sounds about right to me 😉
I grew up on The Bee Gees. I feel the way you do about them. Thank you for listening the way you do, without interrupting the song order to comment.i love you for that.
Please react to “Nights on Broadway”, “Night Fever” and “Jive Talkin.” Just for a few more starters- They bring the funk and the groove in those, as well as harmonies- EPIC! 💖🤘🏼👍✌️. PS They not only wrote their songs.. they wrote for many other greats as well!
In my opinion, there has never been, nor will ever be, anyone as great, as talented singers and songwriters, as Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb! They will always be my absolute favorites! Sadly Barry is the only one still living, and he's still singing and making albums. Absolutely love their music and voices. ❤❤❤
Back in the day, artists, particularly groups, wrote their own lyrics and music. Unlike today's no talent performers. I'm an aging baby boomer, and yes I find today's music god awful.
I can see you've been struck by the magic that is The BeeGees. This is from my high school years, many dances at the National Guard Armory in the '70s! I am so happy to see your reaction to this Heavenly trio is spot on like mine all those years ago.
What you've witnessed young lady is a pure musical experience. Cherish it because it doesn't come along too often!!
I have always love them iam a black female but I think they are so sexy omg the way they sound together ❤❤
It doesn't come along at all anymore, you had to have talent back then
Non capiterà più perché quel mondo non esiste più 😢.
Young lady it is so priceless watching your expressions as the music plays. The beegees can make you believe the world is a beautiful place.

Andy just turned 30 when he died. So sad.
Good times.
Cant beat a Pioneer for quality when you're on a budget.

Maybe these days. Back then it was top of the line sound reproduction. I still have it and it still sounds better than anything out there. And those fosgate speakers with the built in amplifiers! Crystal clear pin-drop sound and bass so low and powerful it actually rattles your bones and makes your vision blurry.
Keep going.. more of them you need to hear, they are Legends!
It will set the vibe for the rest of the day ❤
Welcome to the 70's best decade of music ever!
In the 70s videos like this weren’t that common, so this was a treat back then. Looking forward to more BeeGees reactions. Thanks!!
The Bee Gees harmony was off the charts. They also were known for disco music. There was also a fourth brother called Andy Gibb.
You nailed it with your analysis. They are INCREDIBLE!!!
Enjoy watching the reactions of the younger generation listening to what was probably the best era of music.
You are the first I've seen who doesn't ruin it by keep pausing it. Wel done you. A real reaction.
Growing up in the 70’s was awesome!
God bless the Bee Gees ,all time best group from the 70's. 💗
I'm not a BeeGees fan, but those vocals are fantastic. No auto-tune anywhere near them.
You tell it sister. I grew up with all this good nusic
They always make you feel like their singing to you.
🥰🎙❤
People ask why I watch reaction vids and it's because it's joyous to see the look on someone's face when music moves them.
Simply one of the best valentine songs ever made. Still sounds amazing after 45 years.
Loved your reaction to my fave group! New subscriber.
Their catalog is immense and spans from the 60s to early 2000s. And Barry is still going!
I Started a Joke. Nights on Broadway. Lonely Days. NY Mining Disaster. Jive Talkin. Wind of Change. Words. How Can You Mend a Broken Heart. Alone. This is Where I Came In.
And many more!
Wow this group brings back so many great memories of being a kid back in the 70s I truly believe that we were blessed to have experienced those days.
How can you not feel this in your heart and soul ?
Your facial expressions say it all! They are truly moving!!
Brings love into perspective!!
This is one of their songs that just brings tears to my eyes...in a good way.
Timeless classic. 20/10
They where great writers and knew what worked from them
Not only did they write songs for themselves, they wrote tons of other hit songs for other artists.
Yes please
They are legends. So many hits over many decades .I saw one of their greatest hits cd and it had 40 songs on it.
Who said angels never walked the earth, subscribed!
