I saw them in concert twice. One in 2018 supporting FFDP and once in 2019 supporting Papa Roach. I bought both their albums on CD. I love Tommy, and I was completely unaware about all this, but now I love him even more. Praying for you my friend. God bless you, and we wish you well.
They where with FFDP in 2019, I seen them together Dec 3rd 2019 with Three Days Grace. I think you might have your years reversed lol.

It's crazy how in a matter of three years Jason Hook from FFDP and now Tommy Vext from Bad Wolves are out of the bands that made them grow massively in the music world, I wish them both nothing but the best!! I still remember seeing both bands with Breaking Benjamin and From ashes to new in Minneapolis in 2018, It was my one of my favorite shows I'll never forget

I'm a fan of Bad Wolves, plus the individual members. Love the work their drummer did in Devildriver, God Forbid was great, and that first Devine Heresy album was fantastic. Anxious to see was the band and Tommy put out going forward

Same, Met Him After The Asbury Date Of That Tour. Really Sucks That He Left, Was Really Looking Forward To Seeing Him With The Band After The Pandemic As I Missed Their Set At The Asbury Show.
He will struggle a bit at first, but he was the only reason I liked Bad Wolves at all, his vocal power will get him further solo than in a group. He will be just fine.

Ok, so as far as a new front man for Bad Wolves goes. I could definitely see Howard Jones stepping in and just killing it. I feel like him and the other members would have amazing chemistry. Other vocalists I could see stepping in would be Phil Labonte (All That Remains) or Brian Fair (Shadows Fall).
No matter who steps in and fills the vocalist spot, they're gonna need to bring their A game, cos Tommy has left an unmistakable imprint on the music scene.

Yeah Tommy was brilliant in Bad Wolves in my opinion.
One of my favorite bands (three days grace) changed lead singers and went from having an incredibly unique and awesome sound to becoming a generic radio band. Another band I listen to (from ashes to new) changed singers and still sound amazing and have some incredible songs. And one more band I really like (escape the fate) I discovered after they had already changed singers. So, it really all just depends on what direction bad wolves takes musically that will determine whether or not I'll still listen to them
imho the only band in existence that could never replace their singer was Linkin Park, nobody could replace Chester.

Tommy Vext made Bad Wolves what it is. Some bands can replace vocalists and maintain success. But it’s rare and depends on other characters in the band. What’s the true identity? Tommy told me he’d be happy to go back to his old life when he actually made a better living. He never intended for the success that Bad Wolves had. But he was clear he’d always be true and authentic. That said I’ll always be a fan of the work they did together. I wish them all much success as they move forward on new journeys.

I'm sorry to hear about all that Tommy. I have only recently been able to pick up your music. But it's a shame that you had to take a step back. These are hard times for everybody, some more than others. But I think the one thing remains the same staying humble and staying honest is our only sense of true direction. I admire someone who could stand alone and say what they truly feel is right. You have so many songs that I really enjoy. I listen to them now all the time. Hopefully in time we can hear some of that great music once again. Much love take care.
I agree with tommy with his views & opinions. There's a lot of things wrong & things need to change. You have to respect the guy, he stands behind his beliefs. He's walking away from a band he helped build to success. He didn't leave because of problems in the band. He left because he was protecting his bandmates. As far as a new singer I would like to see Howard Jones ex-killswitch or Jason (gong) jones ex- drowning pool.
The problem that nobody wants to admit, is that people on BOTH sides need to take a hard look at their parties and tear the shit out of both of them for doing the crap they do. Both sides are dirty and keep blaming the other side. Both sides are in the wrong and nobody wants to admit it about their own party.

It sounds like they separated EXACTLY for what they claim didn't separate for. Politics, he clearly mentions they dont share the same ideologies. and the other band mate also mentions wanting to "put forward a more inclusive idea " its funny to me because usually people who mention so much about being " inclusive " usually are the ones who are very harsh when it comes to political differences.
Not saying one side is at fault. but CLEARLY there was primarily a political conflict that was distancing them. With how well they were doing and how successful they were together there would be absolutely no reason to separate this early on. It sucks when people can be friends and close but then politics come up and its almost like a natural distance starts to form. I've had plenty of friends who i've lost simply because i didn't agree with them on something politically and they instantly bring up " i can't be associated with someone that shares a political belief like yours " and i can't help but feel like so all the years we've been friends and enjoyed company this is what breaks the camels back ?
Thats because organizations outside of the band attacked him for his beliefs. He didn't want those organizations to drag down his band mates, so he left to keep them from being harmed.
Maybe that's what happened. At the end of the day, if both sides are saying the same thing -- and there's no sign of pressuring then (revealed through time imo), we have to respect that.
Also, what I thought he was saying is -- that they did have different views, but outside parties starting sabotaging, censorship(Facebook blocked him? Man, this is why we wanted to fight net neutrality. That's dodgy ), threatening/blackmailing ect him, the band, their livelihood.... So he's stepping away so they don't get hurt. He's still got them as support, he says they're helping stuff e.g creatively -- and also he's got a stake in them (money wise). But it was a hard decision, clearly he didn't want to do it.
It's debatable but that's what I got from it -- ultimately whoever people choose to listen to/both, it's their choice.
