My two favoriites in one place, I am not even interested in plastic surgery but got hooked on Lorry's honesty and Gary's great content. You are both rso refreshingly honest -- talking about cosmetic surgery in a balanced and reflective way.
The person I chose for my revision rhinoplasty specializes in that, but when I asked him what he thought of me getting a lower blepharoplasty he bluntly told me to go to another doctor that is the best because my case was not the easiest case. I really appreciated his honestly. He didn't just try to get my money.
I totally agree with the filler part. I've had a nose job in 2017 and it was the best decision. My dentist tried to convince me of having a non surgical nose job but I've never even considered it. I don't want to keep having to do maintenance for my entire life. I'd rather "buy" my nose than "rent" it. Not to mention that fillers obviously can't make a nose smaller, only bigger and bulkier. And I love my nose now. It's not a perfect nose, but is perfect for me.
I can't wait to hsve my original nose back. Did u have an open or closed rhino? I need a closed one and I'm kinda scared. I'm gonna be 35 thus year and I've been living with this strangers nose on my face for 10 years. My insurance will only cover 2k of the 6.5k for the surgery since that's what they say is the non cosmetic part. Anyways, ty 4 letting me ask questions and complain. LOL. I'm so happy for you!
Great info! My Plastic Surgeon I went to for my breast lift referred me to another doctor due to his inexperience with my issues. I really appreciated that. He was very honest and the new surgeon did a great job. I would def go back to the first for areas he is more experienced with just bc of his honesty and the time he spent with me explaining things. 👍
Nice to see a “normal” person talking bout surgery. I know she is not a plastic surgeon, but she is like us, the target consumer of beauty products and surgery😋.
No! Not really "average person"....these beauty bloggers look into all the latest and newest popular treatments and procedures...and try them out for "blogging" about them.
Mmm, no,she is not like us. She grew up in LA trying to be an actress. That will distort yourself worth by placing all your value on your looks. It’s just not like that in the rest of the world. Also Lorry believes that all celebrities have had a facelift based on comparing 2 photos. It’s total projection on her part. So much can change between photos, lighting, makeup, weight gain and loss. The face changes day to day depending on sleep and sodium intake, alcohol, physical activities. I think she needs to calm down.
@@elsagrace3893 this woman so clearly not natural...she has plastic surgery face. Doesn't that defeat the purpose? She's all over the place in her answers. As long as she's in her bubble she's natural? She looks like a videogame character. Her face doesn't move.
Dr Gary is so cute and understanding, a type of doctor you would trust immediately . I really like Lorry too cause she has the same doubts we all have as patients.
Lorry, thank you for exposing the reality of people having plastic surgery. Taking advantage of anything that improves yourself without hurting anyone else is nothing to feel shame about
@@aksez2u exactly! Joe Rogan is a great example of looking better bald compared to when he had hair. Same with The Rock, he looks so much better bald compared to when he was younger with hair.
This was such a healthy and pleasant conversation! I watch Lorry's videos a lot, but it was so interesting to hear about a professional's opinion and perspective here. Looking forward to more of your videos :D
This was a great conversation. I’ve only watched a couple of Larry’s videos recently. I don’t care for them at all because they are complete speculation that every single celebrity has had a face lift. I like facts. If I wished to waste time speculating I could do it myself easily. I don’t see the point.
I watch both of these channels, so it was nice to see them chat. I really appreciate hearing Lorry’s honesty and non-judgmental approach to surgery. I appreciate that they both speak about physical issues and insecurities they have personally experienced. It makes them relatable. Thanks! 👍👍
Came here from Lorrys channel! Im nearly 35 year old single mom of three. I never considered PS before besides breast implants. I decided to wait until after I was done having kids since I was unsure it would impact breast feeding. I never considered doing anything to my face but I really think Lorrys channel helped me see that as much as society pressures people into looking prefect, there is a polarizing other group that judges people for getting work done. I think I never considered getting work done on my face because I feared people would judge me for not being natural. I think having an open and honest conversation will help people feel less self-conscious and do what is right for them. Looking forward to checking out your content!
The Dr. has great skin. Interesting video. Plastic surgery is addictive. After your first procedure, barring no complications, you start thinking what you can change next⭐ Very informative interview
Dr. Gary seems like the plastic surgeon I would always like to have and I've been watching Lorry's channel since the beginning. This conversation keeps me great company. Too bad we live too far away ....
32:00 holy cow it’s hard to not see once you know how to see. I am from Pakistan and every friggin actor here has gotten work done and it’s so obvious but fans are blind to it. It also annoys me when I can see it and that is all I can focus on
True sis! I'm from India. Every time Hollywood media makes a fuzz about someone not coming clean on plastic surgery I always think about Indian actress 😂 they'd never do that in this lifetime. And yes young girls are falling prey for this loophole 😪
Thanks! Yeah she originally included me in her video and people kept telling me about it. I then got in touch with Lorry and she’s the sweetest person ever.
@@drgarylinkov you both are such blessings to the yt community and are really educating people about plastic surgery. Also, both of your personalities are so pleasant and positive, so it's such a joy watching you. Keep making such amazing content and thank you for the heart!
Wow, you guys are going DEEP with the questions! "Why is plastic surgery stigmatized?" Very thoughtful answers. Questions I need to ask myself. Thank you both!💖
Omg the part that she talks about celebs not being honest about their procedures, I was just nodding my head all along, because celebs want to give out an image of being so good, and worried about mental health, and oh I love my fans, but they lie about what they've had done. And us girls are left thinking we're ugly because we didn't age that way.
It's your fault for worshipping celebrities. Don't rely on celebrities to dictate how you feel about yourself. Learn to love yourself. If they don't and change all their face, why should you copy their shame? That's ludicris!
@@halomerric8611 I basically agree. Celebs are strangers to us. Seeing them in 12-15 minutes on Jimmy Fallon or some other talk show promoting their latest project or goofing around with host doesn’t mean we KNOW them. Much of what they do in their public life is, to a significant degree, calculated based on what their fans might like to see. The result is they are popular, which translates to being able to continue doing what they do for a living and making great money at it.
Regarding uptick in plastic surgery during the pandemic, one of the main causes is excessive time spent on Zoom. People are spending tons of time staring at their own faces, and it's creating an epidemic of self-loathing. You suddenly see your thin lips, and eye bags, and loose neck folds... all things you didn't focus on in real life interactions. But spending hours online staring at your flaws drives one to want to do something to address these issues.
Dr Gary Linkov you have a really nice personality, the way you speak is calming and I see you care much about every person who goes in your consult, I love your channel👏🏾💥Lorry Hill you are lovely and thanks for taking this approach on plastic surgery, I’ve been your subscriber for a while and it really made me see it from a different perspective.💕
I think he's got all around classically handsome features. I love how different he looks. I only saw him with hair, just yesterday! On an ad somewhere, maybe his website? Anyway, I love this look.
Thank you so much for this conversation. Ever since I’ve tuned into Lori - I feel so much better about beauty standards and realistic ideals around aging etc…
I love her channel I wish more people were open about the procedures they’ve had done. Wearing a mask is actually quite uncomfortable for me right now I just had a rhinoplasty 2 weeks ago and it hurts to put pressure on the tip like that.
What Lorry said about why some people reject PS is very true. We seek improvement in many aspects of our life including intellect, spiritual wisdom etc so why is physical improvement stigmatised?
Because, when you reach spiritual wisdom and have enough intellect, you realise that your physical appearence is not as important as you thought.... You could also say, only shallow people care so much about theyre appearence, that they HAD to change it to feel good and in peace with themselfes... Not strong enough to cope with the natural shortcomings... Plus: We choose our partner for mating thru the nose (smell) and the eyes (beauty) - as all animals. When my eyes deceive me about your REAL biological fitness, (beauty reflects your biological fitness) because you underwent plastic surgery, I feel unconcious a little bit fooled. "You could be a ugly bitch with just enough plastic surgeries to make you beautifull"!! My biological programm dont like that :-) Thats said, the upper two are not my total conviction! I just want to explain why the majority of people see plastic surgery as a flaw (in character). P.S. For other self improvements YOU have always work HARD to get them! Like physical improvement, or intellectual. You have to invest hard work and much energy. Without that STRONG WILL and endurance you wont get the good outcome. And this strong will is ultimately admired by other people, when they see you fighting to get to your goal!! Thats COMPLETELY different with a plastic surgery ... YOU dont have much to do but pay a good surgeon. Not much effort there to be admired ...
@@klospike you couldn’t be more wrong in your generalizations. You probably aren’t much to look at if you’re being this judgey of others who choose to get surgery. Live and let others do what they want with their bodies, you don’t know what their individual stories are.
@@ALT-vz3jn Wow. You really just attacked someone’s appearance because they disagree with plastic surgery. This type of behavior is the reason ps shouldn’t be glamorized; it draws way too much attention to how we look than what we think and do. While this person made generalizations, you can’t deny that many people who get plastic surgery would likely not have gotten it if it wasn’t for people constantly critiquing people’s looks, just like you did here. People also tend to not admit to getting them, which leads to people shaming natural features for not matching the unrealistic surgical ones. It’s a vicious cycle that could stop if we started accepting ourselves instead of trying to change.
15:42 Lorry hit the nail on the head. A lot of people have spent time due to fear or lack of funds convincing themselves they like something that bothers them and plastic surgery feels like cheating.
I love hearing about the risks of procedures because I feel people are shot gunning their decisions to get something like fillers that are semi permanent
Love this “collab” so to speak. You both influence me to stop and think deeply before I do anything cosmetically. While simultaneously reality checking us before comparing our features to celebrities.
Lorri is such a great person, I have appreciated her sincerity and her openness in answering questions from the patients side. I'm glad she was with Dr. Linkov who is an amazing doctor and I also appreciate his educational style of commenting and opening people's understanding about the different procedures out there that both, work or don't work as well and helping people get over some of the obsession about plastic surgery. THank you for sharing to both of you!
As a cosmetologist, I totally felt the whole consultation dialogue; sometimes during the consult you will realize your services are not the best fit for what they want, and with hair, some people will never be happy with what you do because they are not happy with themselves and cosmetic procedures only can do so much. I am not afraid to say NO, and tell the client I am not a one for their needs. I’d rather loose out on a quick dollar than possibly deal with unrealistic clients that can cost my business much more in the long run. I never realized plastic surgeons went through that similar to us hairstylist. And I totally agree with the best don’t have to advertise! The work will speak for itself!!
Such an awesome interview and I would love to add that it becomes way less ethical to lie about your plastic surgery when young people and children are *killing themselves* because they don’t look like you so I totally support what Lori said about bringing beauty standards back to reality through honesty
I love the fact that you both agree word of mouth is good, if people would just admit yes I had this done and my doctor was--. Go see him/her if you like my look. My friend has had several things done snd she has given me her opinion on different ones.
This discussion is so important. Also, I love the contrast in this video of someone so utterly non-self conscious about his looks & someone completely self conscious about appearance, constantly checking herself out the whole video. No judgement. Just an observation.
I think plastic surgery is so stigmatized because honestly most people can't afford it or they are an older generation that kinda missed the boat. They gotta cope somehow. The medical advances available now are amazing. So many more people these days look so amazing. But it's not available to everyone. There are a lot of people who can't get regular medical care. Who doesn't want to look better? I promise everyone wants to be attractive. Its frustrating to know its possible to look better but only if you have money. I had to save up just to get under eye filler and lip filler. Im happy with it and my doctor has a program where you pay a monthly affordable payment toward all your treatments so you can keep up with your look easier. I wish everyone could be beautiful the way they want to
What older generation missed the boat??? Not a single human being alive today "missed the boat". There are people in their 90s who've had full, very pulled face-lifts with whom I've worked. My own mother is 85 and she had a full face lift when she was 50 (she's a narcissist, so she's all about how she looks), and it turned out beautifully. That was back in 1989. If by older generation you mean those older than a hundred years old, sure, it was rare 100 years ago. lol
@@le_th_ you sound extremely judgmental of people who have plastic surgery; calm down. I totally get what she was saying; the boomer generation did not get as much plastic surgery or cosmetic enhancements when it could have helped them look fresher longer because they were too old by the time these treatments became mainstream. I’m sure my daughter will eventually look younger than I do at my age because of treatment and technology advancements that will be available to her in the future!
@@ALT-vz3jn lol Calm down? Judgmental of people who've had plastic surgery? I don't even know where to begin with these inaccurate assumptions? Or are they projections? lol You're providing me with some serious laughter, though....or do I need to calm that down, too? Please tell me more about how I feel, oh great oracle...lol
Who missed the boat? I started getting collagen injections in the ‘90s before there were Restalyne, Sculptra, etc, then moving on to surgery a decade later. It’s just a bit of an over generalization, based on people whom I know.
Great conversation. I think on the the looking good inside versus outside question: You can also decide, to a certain extent, how important your looks are to you. Like I know I'm not the best looking person out there, but I'm also not an actress or a model so I don't need to focus on it as much. I feel good about myself when I'm learning or when I'm doing good work. Obviously we are social creatures so of course we care about what people think. On the other hand it can also be unhealthy to place too much importance on it.
@@ALT-vz3jn Though sometimes it appears as counterproductive. I recall Kirk Douglas once commented on why actors would have a lot of procedures that sometimes limited their ability to commynicate with facial expressions. And that is a valid point. Imagine how much worse a lot of films would be if the actors would have to verbally state out loud they are sad, angry or whatever because they lost the ability to that subtle communication of mere facial expression. And obviously there are artists who wrecked their careers with overdoing surgeries (or maybe smaller jobs that nevertheless changed their whole appearance), I don't think they are happy in hindsight. The "you go girl!" approach can be destructive. And I also think that one important basis for when people tend to say someone looks errie or alien is just because of that vanished ability to change in facial expressions to indicate whether someone is friendly or hostile. Humans tend even to rate animals by such, we can detect the agreeability to us with dogs, cats horses etc while not so with certain other animals which we then tend to view as less agreeable (even among small children who have not been thaught which animals to stay away from). So be aware of that the dislike of extreme work may have a very deep rooted reason, perhaps often with an ignorant side to it, we tend to respect that animals that can display some sort of feelings also have them while less so for fish, reptiles and spiders who have limited ability to display their emotions and intentions in a way detectable to humans.
i think Gary looks very handsome with or without hair and no one can tell me otherwise. i just love watching his videos and learning about all this stuff even if i never want plastic surgery myself.
Other people: have filler/laser/surgery during pandemic. Me during pandemic: test out skincare and find the stuff that suits me + stress less = perfect skin
I REALLY enjoyed this conversation with Dr. Linkov!! I enjoy hearing about Dr. Linkov's approach/thoughts, and I can relate with you so much, Lorry!! 💗💗💗
Love what Lorry ended with: "Plastic surgery is not going to change you inside, if there is something that can make you happy...try that first". Sage advise. And BTW: I think she should press charges on whomever that was that made those threats...that is illegal.
Both of your channels convinced me that a liplift will help ameliorate much of what went wrong with 3 prior surgeries. I still have a 23mm PHILTRUM! I had an auto implant, a vermillion border augmentation, then, a partial correction of both previous procedures. It has been since 2005 since the last revision. In the NE I think I'm looking at about 5K? Anyhow, wish me luck. I'm planning on seeing Dr. Linkov in a few months, for teleconsult, apparently, so I only have to travel to NYC for the surgery. I'm completely fine with this. I cant wait to meet him as well as having the surgery. He seems like a great guy, not a character of a "Great guy!"... Edit: botox twice-ooops, forgot about those;)
i think lorry is spot on with her psychological analysis of ppl hating on plastic surgery: ppl dont allow themself to do it, because they dont allow themself to admit that yes they also are superficial and want validation from others and are not so enlightened that they could unconditionally love themselfs even if the whole world rejects them. that is the shadow part that many dont want to face, espacially in todays toxic positivity and "just practice selflove" world. and since they cant face their own shadow about it, they project onto others and attack them for going for the surgery. i agree with holly. i mean why else would somebody get so triggered about what others do with their bodies that you wqould go so far as to threaten their life? that is crazy
I totally disagree. I felt she really had no understanding of the other perspective and came up with something silly. In my opinion, there are a few reasons for the stigma. First, ps is usually (and has historically been) surrounded by dishonesty, and that "I'm aiming to be the prettiest but won't admit I did anything or care about my looks enough to change them" attitude is off-putting. When people like Lorry embrace what they've done and how they feel in an honest way, it helps to lessen that unhealthy dynamic. Then there is the stigma that people who do it are shallow and attention seeking. And tbh, some of them are. They feel so insecure that they can't embrace themselves as they are and have to flaunt their paid for looks in front of everyone else. IMO, this doesn't apply to people who just want subtle improvements to help with specific problems. As in, that stereotype reflects a certain ps patient, not all os patients. But a lot of people (especially deep thinking, down to earth people) often find that attention seeking, superficial energy to be really unlikable and immature. There's also the ethical dilemma that the more society makes ps required for having a beautiful enough look, the more unachievable self acceptance and self esteem are for the bulk of the population, and it also impacts the expectations of possible romantic interests/relationships. And even if it were achievable for everyone (financially and with health-wise), as a society, where have we gotten that in order to accept ourselves and others, everyone needs to cut themselves up and get new looks? It just feels wrong and unhealthy. My personal view is that everyone should be able to do what they want with their looks without fear or shame. If I didn't have health issues that make elective surgery a bigger deal than normal, I'd love to do some anti aging care. But I also know how much our society pressures us, especially women, to look a certain way otherwise we're no longer seen and valued. And I KNOW that plays a role in most ps (like Lorry said, we don't exist in a vacuum). And I'm against that view and troubled by that playing a role in undergoing surgery. I feel like until we fight it and insist that women be seen, valued, and recognized as worthwhile and valuable regardless of age, race, facial structure, income, etc we're just feeding a problem that negatively impacts everyone. And we can't fight that without brave women who insist on NOT changing themselves and NOT apologizing for themselves while also truly embracing themselves and telling society what's what. So overall, it's not black and white. There are a lot of issues at play, and at the end of the day, I think there's a place for both plastic surgery and societal reform, even though they are at odds in many ways. I think there are valid reasons people feel resentful about those who get ps, but I also think there shouldn't be a sigma or shame just because someone got ps. Like why do we need to be hurtful when there's no reason? Everyone should be allowed to make their own choices and not be judged as long as they're not hurting anyone
Both of your channels, and the conversations you have are incredibly valuable. I wanted you both to know that what you are doing is important and to keep going with this type of transparency and good valuable conversations and knowledge about this topic. I think it is so helpful since plastic surgery has always been sort of “hush hush” many people contemplating MAJOR cosmetic surgeries end up in possibly life threatening situations specifically because of the lack of valuable information with which to educate oneself about said procedure. And to me that’s what’s scary!! You’re both great 👍🙂 keeping being you!!
Every time I watch one of dr Gary’s videos I learn some things that I didn’t know before learning from him with his talents and mad skills I feel more confidant about surgeries I’m considering to keep looking natural while slowing the effects of aging on my face and hair. This video has very useful questions and good answers from the surgeon and the patients I’m so happy I found this video. Great 👍 job Gary ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🙏☺️😇 Bravo 👏🏻
I think the big stimga around plastic surgery is because people are aiming towards "natural" over everything, we want that society looks at us as "natural". We can see the same thing in pregnancy (when people really compete what kind of birth they had), sports (fitness and olympics), work/job etc, that is why also drugs are so stigmatized (because "you should feel better without taking something in"). Society doesnt want to admit that it is not perfect since civilization (and the beggining of civilizations is the time when we moved away from nature - so in some way we always compete with it and want to reach it). We dont want to admit that the standard we set up for ourselves are not reachable in a "natural way". It is kind of a paradox. I hope I make sense and also that is my thought/opinion only.
Couldnt sleep..this vid was so interessting and also calming and like talking to friends. Helped me a lot and also calmed me down. LOVE this format so much.
HI Zui, I'm glad that you are happy with your nose. I saw the best plastic surgeon in San Francisco back in 1991--Dr. Bruno Von Ristow--and he did a beautiful job on my nose, which had some pretty awful bone "wings" on the sides and other peculiarities. The plastic surgery freed me from the mirror--judging my poor nose!
I got my Kybella at the start of covid and I was SO THANKFUL for the masks, it literally hid my bullfrog swelling what I had for what felt like FOREVER
@@evelynforever2016 yes it does! But it took a total 3 or 4 sessions for me (each had 3 syringes) it definitely costed $$$ a lot but it made a huge difference to me
I’ve watched many of both of your videos. I must say how much I admire your neutrality, the emphasis you place on the procedures, as opposed to the patients and your obvious kindness. You’re both shining lights in the black cruelty that is social media. Bravo(a)!!!
👋🏻 Guys 🤗 I haven't had fillers or plastic surgery as yet at 55 years old. I have been teased about my nose by some during my teens (I live in Brisbane. Australia) but everyone gets teased and bullied worldwide. I think it is time to get the deviation done on my nose, due to the curving making breathing difficult. So both your channels help a lot. Keep us up to date and informed, both positives and negatives, patients need to know and feel they are more than just a dollar sign walking in the door. Doctors also need to see updates with patients and put them up on these channels as well. Be well rounded as a person on both sides ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Lorry, we all get to see a different side of your lovely self , in this video chat, sans perfect lighting, perfect angle and perfect makeup. Interesting and revealing.
Completely agree with Lorry's first point that social media has made plastic surgery spread like wildfire but unfortunately none of the education like about fillers like Lorry said
This was a great talk, but I would like to add a different perspective on one thing. I went out of the country to have plastic surgery, BUT it wasn't because I couldn't afford surgery in the US. It was because the doctors where I had my procedures did things in a way that is different from the doctors in the US in terms of defining & sculpting shape and I wanted THAT! I looked high and low across the US for a doctor who I felt could deliver precisely what I was after and the doctors in the US that I saw were excellent surgeons, but NOT excellent artists and THAT is what I felt I wanted. When you are not a person who is looking to have the biggest this or the biggest that, BUT you want things in perfect, natural looking proportion, sometimes it is extremely hard to find a great surgeon that you feel comfortable with. I went all over the country and it wasn't until I started really looking outside of the US that I was able to find precisely what I wanted. Were there risks? Of course. There are risks with any plastic surgery procedure, however, the US doesn't have a perfect record and people die in the US from plastic surgery procedures. Since you are going to take the risk somewhere in the world, whether it is the US or somewhere else, you need to make sure you are getting what you want. Once you get outside of the US, you realize there are PLENTY of places around the world that have fantastic medical care and doctors that are top notch and see FAR MORE patients and have FAR MORE experience than many doctors in the US. The simple truth is that the aesthetic of the culture governs how the doctors craft their patients' bodies. Doctors in the US don't seem to sculpt the body as well as some other places in the world, in my opinion. I believe that is because the ideal aesthetic is just different here. I had a wonderful experience out of the country, but money was NEVER a factor in how I chose my surgeon. I would fly to the ends of the earth for a doctor who makes things look the way I want them to look safely.
@@ALT-vz3jn - There is nothing we do, as humans, that isn't risky! Everything is risky! Plastic surgery is risky. Driving a car is risky. Flying in a tin can with engines strapped to it is risky. Going outside of your home, especially these days, is risky. Sure a BBL is risky, but you find the best surgeons with the best techniques to mitigate that risk. I had lipo, a tummy tuck & a BBL. I was very concerned about making sure I had a normal-looking, natural-looking body & I searched far and wide to find the right surgical team to do that. They were wonderful and I walked away with a shape that isn't extreme, looks natural & proportional and looks good. There are always risks, but you have to take steps to mitigate the risk as much as you can and then do what needs to be done. You could have heart surgery and the surgeon die during the procedure! There are all kinds of risks to anything and everything we do!
But regardless of getting things done now there WILL be a time when you really AGE and all the treatments will be nill. And the doctor has Alopecia and my younger son got it when he was 4 and never got it back. It was hard for him but he’s just beautiful as you are too!
Got hooked on this pod because I wondered about plastic surgery. I love their common sense directness. One thing, ma’am were you swollen in this broadcast? It looked hard for you to smile where you were so engaging in other pods. Anyways, Thank you for bringing such an interesting topic to all of us!
This is probably one of the best videos I have watched talking about the other side viewpoints. It's really a great and important video to hear them telling us the underlying and real stories and real facts. Many more people need to hear this video. Just think if the celebrities on Instagram did say what they did ! How much more business the surgeons would actually get lol. One question is why do celebrities need to do it and hide it in the home so as to perpetuate that they look the way they do, why hide it doing it this way. If celebrities would be transparent about what they want to do. Maybe the public could help persuade a few to help making their self worth better maybe to not needing a procedure per se maybe in first place. It would also be great if surgery was not so expensive here that people have to go out of country to do it cheaper. There are reputable lists and services to help those to do it. Yes reviews can be terrible for those who intentionally want to slander or hurt a owners business . Like another competitor or fake person, so it's hard to judge all of them from evil doing in any case. There should only be verified reviews. If the person actually had a procedure or were at that location not just any random person posting to protect the reputations somewhat. Also Peoples depression, suicide, eating disorders relate more at times to a feeling they cant get rid of no matter what or control or trauma issues underlying. Surgery will not fix that. If they dont like something physical about themselves thats different and are trying to improve it . Everyone wants to fix something about themselves they dont like. Some act on it some dont. I was also wondering if Gary ever thought about doing tattooing hair or microblading eyebrows, lash implants on himself due to his condition alopecia since there are these services out there as well.
I knew ppl got work done but I was so amazed how many of my friends thought they were less than bc they couldn't get the body they saw on IG... I'm like" oh they get plastic surgery. " be easy on yourself
That was a great interview.. what a beautiful lady, and she looks great. It's important to be an educated consumer and with a realistic understanding of an outcome. As Lorry said, keep working on your insides, because the core belief you have about yourself doesn't change.. Thanks for sharing.
So... I can't imagine anyone being against plastic surgery because they secretly can't accept their own flaws. That sounds like the person who believes that those with negative feedback are just jealous of them and want to be them. Like no, generally when people don't like you it's not because they secretly want to be you lol. It's because they don't like you. In my opinion, there are a few reasons for the stigma. First, ps is usually (and has historically been) surrounded by dishonesty, and that "I'm aiming to be the prettiest but won't admit I needed to do anything or that I care enough about my looks to change them" attitude is off-putting. When people like Lorry embrace what they've done and how they feel in an honest way, it helps to lessen that unhealthy dynamic. I think for a lot of people, plastic surgery feels inherently inauthentic, and that can be disconcerting for some people (even though it's not for others). Building on that, there is the stigma that people who do it are shallow and attention seeking. And tbh, some of them are. They feel so insecure that they can't accept themselves as they are and have to flaunt their paid for looks in front of everyone else. Probably some people resent it because they'll never be able to afford it, which is yet another privilege that betters the lives of people who are already better off. But I feel like that's a minority. Most admit they'd want it and just resent that they can't. There's also the ethical dilemma that the more society makes ps required for having a beautiful enough look, the more unachievable self acceptance and self esteem are for the bulk of the population, even extending to the expectations of potential romantic partners /relationships. And even if it were achievable for everyone (financially and health-wise), as a society, where have we gotten that in order to accept ourselves and others, everyone needs to cut themselves up and get new looks? It just feels wrong and unhealthy. My personal view is that everyone should be able to do what they want with their looks without fear or shame. If I had the funds and felt my body would handle the surgery well)l, I'd have loved to do some anti aging care in the next decade. I feel like until we fight it and insist that women be seen, valued, and recognized as worthwhile and attractive regardless of age, race, facial structure, ability, etc we're just feeding a problem that negatively impacts everyone. I think there are valid reasons people don't like the idea of plastic surgery or the way it presents in some people. But I also think there shouldn't be a stigma or shame just because someone gets ps. Like why do we need to be hurtful when there's no reason? Everyone should be allowed to make their own choices, find their own happiness, and not be judged-- as long as they're not hurting anyone
I'm planning to call for a consult in November. Good luck to you! I'm sure you will be thrilled. Look at his website. His results are amazing to me, and I'd bet your result will feel amazing to you, Remember, patience, patience, patience with healing and the scar gradually becoming mostly translucent and invisible.👍👍👍 Edit: whoops, this was 8 months ago. Did you get it done?
permanent duck lips is exactly what it is. Looks so uncomfortable like they are struggling to keep the lips in the right place or like someone else lips are on there face
@@drgarylinkov I already have limited eye sight it would be nice to know. At least my FNP did the numbing paste instead of all these fancy dental injections the PA did. They hurt and brought up traumatic memories from a abusive dentist!
That’s so true what Lorry said, about fillers. I see a lot of girls with fillers in their cheeks, jaws, chin etc but they don’t think about long term and the migration. Their goal is the insta face short term. I do look forward to midlife sex in the city! When you look good, people expect you to keep on looking good. I get compliment all the time about my looks but i would rather have a compliment on other qualities tbh. I’m almost 44 and never had Botox and never go to a beauty salon nothing, only lipfiller one time a year or 2 years. I want to stay as natural as possible, don’t want to give in to pressure! If i do something, i do it for me, like my lips. I wanted my lips bigger since i was 14 yo. Where i live, people that do a lot of these things are not taken very seriously, stigma for sure! Even my own doctor was shocked i had lipfillers😳 She said; O? That’s so modern.. I thought, under which rock do you live? Lol. Very old fashion i think, that’s ok but it does show that they do think it’s “normal” to go for a facelift after the age of 60 but not lipfiller when you are younger.. Yess! Know your strengths and your limits! That gives so much trust imo
Thank you so much for having me on !
Thank you!
Awesome
Good job you 2. Great Collab 👍🏻
That’s cuz we 😍 😘love you girl!
"I'm a flirt" song was playing on the back of my mind the entire time I was watching this video... Dunno whyyyy....
My two favoriites in one place, I am not even interested in plastic surgery but got hooked on Lorry's honesty and Gary's great content. You are both rso refreshingly honest -- talking about cosmetic surgery in a balanced and reflective way.
We are collaborating on an exciting new video coming soon!
@@drgarylinkov looking forward to that 😍😍😍

I totally agree with all you have said. These two are great to listen to ♥️🦋♥️🦋♥️
I love these two!
same. love these content creators but still don't like plastic surgery haha
The person I chose for my revision rhinoplasty specializes in that, but when I asked him what he thought of me getting a lower blepharoplasty he bluntly told me to go to another doctor that is the best because my case was not the easiest case. I really appreciated his honestly. He didn't just try to get my money.
Who was this doctor?
@@Fivetimesthree Dr. Kian Karimi
She’s not normal she’s stunning,
@@elsagrace3893 hello, do you know how old Lorry is?
Please and thank you :)

This was such a healthy and pleasant conversation! I watch Lorry's videos a lot, but it was so interesting to hear about a professional's opinion and perspective here. Looking forward to more of your videos :D
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks! 👍👍
Dr. Linkov does meticulous work. He did a lip lift on me and it turned out great!
Dr. Gary sounds like the kind of doctor that wants to do what is best for a patient. That is so very great.
Dr Gary is super cute!

Yeah I have to agree, his face is mesmerizing.
I was just going to comment that XDD... hes really handsome!! 😍😍😍
YES! I especially like his smile.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
The Dr. has great skin. Interesting video. Plastic surgery is addictive. After your first procedure, barring no complications, you start thinking what you can change next⭐ Very informative interview
Yes agree! Dr L’s skin is beautiful.
Dr. Gary seems like the plastic surgeon I would always like to have and I've been watching Lorry's channel since the beginning. This conversation keeps me great company. Too bad we live too far away ....
Thanks for watching!
Loved the patient and doctor perceptive on this video! Thank you Lorry and Gary for making this! ☺️

Die hard fans “don’t want to see it”. It’s especially true of International stars. They treat them like they couldn’t possibly have a flaw or age.
I just recently found your channel and a few days ago I watched Lorrys lip lift video and I was so happy she mentioned you. This is a dream collab ❤
Excellent point
💯
Dr Gary Linkov you have a really nice personality, the way you speak is calming and I see you care much about every person who goes in your consult, I love your channel👏🏾💥Lorry Hill you are lovely and thanks for taking this approach on plastic surgery, I’ve been your subscriber for a while and it really made me see it from a different perspective.💕
Dr. Linkov, you have such beautiful and radiant smile...

I think he's got all around classically handsome features. I love how different he looks. I only saw him with hair, just yesterday! On an ad somewhere, maybe his website? Anyway, I love this look.
I think your look makes you look so wise, I love it. And then you're so calm, and when you say things its without hesitantance, very reassuring
My N-95 mask doesn’t touch my nose tip at all. Try one. They are 3-4 dollars each. Can wear many times. Couple of weeks.
My biological programm dont like that :-)
Thats said, the upper two are not my total conviction!
But some of use were totally fine with our features before weirdos made us hate our perfectly functional faces
I love hearing about the risks of procedures because I feel people are shot gunning their decisions to get something like fillers that are semi permanent
You’re handsome, Dr, with or without hair. Definitely beauty on the inside. Your patience and kindness shows.
He has a great look. Handsome
Love this “collab” so to speak. You both influence me to stop and think deeply before I do anything cosmetically. While simultaneously reality checking us before comparing our features to celebrities.
She’s a very intelligent well rounded woman. This whole conversation was so interesting and I dont even heavily consider getting plastic surgery.
I think a lot of people have surgery and say it is just filler. Lori, your face looks great. Love your lip color.
If by older generation you mean those older than a hundred years old, sure, it was rare 100 years ago. lol
why are you so angry? God damn
Or are they projections? lol
You're providing me with some serious laughter, though....or do I need to calm that down, too?
The important thing is that each person does what is right for them, and doesn’t judge others for their choices.
My 2 favorite plastic surgery TH-camrs in one place. I love it! 💕💕💕
Oh wow! the only two plastic surgery channels I watch are collabbing and its soo wholesome! both of you are so sweet! love from germany
You guys should make an app to help people find the right surgeon! Great video!
Edit: botox twice-ooops, forgot about those;)
Update pls! How did everything go?? Or was it post posed due to COVID? Hope all went well.
i think lorry is spot on with her psychological analysis of ppl hating on plastic surgery: ppl dont allow themself to do it, because they dont allow themself to admit that yes they also are superficial and want validation from others and are not so enlightened that they could unconditionally love themselfs even if the whole world rejects them. that is the shadow part that many dont want to face, espacially in todays toxic positivity and "just practice selflove" world. and since they cant face their own shadow about it, they project onto others and attack them for going for the surgery. i agree with holly. i mean why else would somebody get so triggered about what others do with their bodies that you wqould go so far as to threaten their life? that is crazy
Well said. I would also say that they hate on PS because they don’t have the financial means to do it.
What a wonderful collaboration. Thank you. Lorry is a generous and honest with the information she gives too :)
Every time I watch one of dr Gary’s videos I learn some things that I didn’t know before learning from him with his talents and mad skills I feel more confidant about surgeries I’m considering to keep looking natural while slowing the effects of aging on my face and hair.
This video has very useful questions and good answers from the surgeon and the patients

This video was brilliant! Thanks Dr. Garry, and thank you Ms Lorry! Xx
Great discussions and education from DR Linkov and Lorry Hill!
Nice to hear both perspectives.. looking forward to watching more collabs in the future!
I think my nose was botched. I’d be so afraid of having it “fixed” and somebody just making it worse :’(
While revision surgery is always more challenging, sometimes a great improvement is possible, including with revision rhinoplasty.
Watch Lorrys video on that topic. She also has a recommendation of the guy who eventually fixed her nose (sorry don’t remember his name )
Yes! I wanted a blepharoplasty with my nose Dr but in the consult he referred me to an Oculoplastic surgeon that ended up doing a great job!
Awesome! Sometimes it’s best to see the super specialist.
I like Lorry Hill, I like her honesty.
Dr Linkov is so sweet i wanna squeeze him tight!!!! Thank you both for your videos and openness, take care
Best plastic surgery channel on the internet because Dr. Linkov isn't plastic.
She is extremely insightful. Love this.
I love how honest lorry is
I got my Kybella at the start of covid and I was SO THANKFUL for the masks, it literally hid my bullfrog swelling what I had for what felt like FOREVER
How was it?? I'm thinking of getting it too. Does it really make the doble chin shrink? Pls share your experience
Bravo(a)!!!
👋🏻 Guys 🤗
I haven't had fillers or plastic surgery as yet at 55 years old.
I finally got my septum done and I can finally breathe. It is awesome.
I love lorry she is always so positive and heartwarming. 😊
I would love to have him as my dr. I would feel safe and stable. Hes so informative that makes me feel like I'd be in good hands for sure.
Lorry always does a great job. I greatly recommend her channel.
Lorry, we all get to see a different side of your lovely self , in this video chat, sans perfect lighting, perfect angle and perfect makeup.
Interesting and revealing.
I must be the only person who doesn't know anything about her but i really found her outlook honest and I appreciate it
I also just love plastic surgery. I don’t have any but it’s so intriguing and I could talk about it all day. So Lorry’s TH-cam is a blessing.
Yes!
Sounds like you had a BBL; that’s an extremely risky surgery.
Wow r u ok
i'm a subscriber to both your sites, so when i stumbled on this, i was overjoyed! thank you both for being frank and sharing your views.
Wow he is so handsome and has a pure soul. You are a beautiful doctor
Cool interview, you're both super nice !
“…and I mean look at this, we’re both Ukrainian Jews so, you know…” 😅👏 great interview guys, loved it.✨
2 genuine lovely people, helping others 💗💗💗💗
I feel like until we fight it and insist that women be seen, valued, and recognized as worthwhile and attractive regardless of age, race, facial structure, ability, etc we're just feeding a problem that negatively impacts everyone.
Whaaat! I've been listening to your videos non-stop these days, and now learning that you're a Ukrainian just warms my heart beyond belief ❤
I loved this video! Will definitely consider seeing you when I return to NYC for my job in September
🙏
I'm planning to call for a consult in November. Good luck to you! I'm sure you will be thrilled. Look at his website. His results are amazing to me, and I'd bet your result will feel amazing to you, Remember, patience, patience, patience with healing and the scar gradually becoming mostly translucent and invisible.👍👍👍
Edit: whoops, this was 8 months ago. Did you get it done?
permanent duck lips is exactly what it is. Looks so uncomfortable like they are struggling to keep the lips in the right place or like someone else lips are on there face
it was fun to hear you guys both were born in Ukraine hehe im from Odessa =))) wishing you the success in work and happiness in personal life!
This is so great. The both of you have different perspectives and knowledge. Very educational and informative. Thanks
I love Lorry’s view and content.
Both of you are AWESOME!!
Thank you both!!
Doc, no one ever told me that I could go blind from filler!!!!
Yes! People don’t always share what isn’t conducive to business.
Nice convo. I like Lorry's work 🙌
Big collab in the works! Stay tuned! Dropping in 2021.
@@drgarylinkov cool! I will keep a close eye on your channel !!
