A tip to get full access to the PCV VALVE is to unclip the rail that holds the coil wires and push it forward to move it from being directly above the PCV valve. Make sure you change this valve or at least remove it every 40k because mine had been in there for 180k and it broke off with half the valve still in the engine.

@@BIsForBudget I started to do it but run into a problem right away. I don't know how to remove the front wiring harness. It's in the way in my 2009 and can't get to the bolt without moving it.

@@ricowork Hi Rico, the space is pretty tight around there. But, you will be able to access the bolt with the correct extension. Looking at pictures of the 2009 model, it appears to be the same as my 2012. If you're having problems, maybe the use of a swivel socket?

@@BIsForBudget I was able to unscrew the bolt but I aborted the job. I couldn't take the pcv valve out. It was stuck in there really good. I ended up calling a mobile mechanic. Next time when it's not 170k old maybe it will come out easier.

Update for this video, just in case , if you have the misfortune to have lost the pcv “bushing” bolt here some info:
Is not spacer or bushing, the part name is: PCV VALVE COLLAR and the part # 12316-R70-A00 , total cost after tax : $13.25

Here's what else you need to know. That bushing is VERY easy to lose. When I got the screw out, I somehow lost the bushing in the bottom of the engine pan and I never even saw it (or heard it fall). Also, my PCV valve came out in segments, which I didn't expect. After a half-hour spent trying to pry the rest of the valve out with my needle-nose pliers, I gave up. Tomorrow morning I'll have it towed to my mechanic and let him sort it out. Probably cost me an extra $100 between the part I bought (which my mechanic probably won't use) and the tow. Better luck next time, hopefully.

With the Covid situation, we've been driving far less and mostly short distances, so I haven't been able to capture consistent/reliable data. I'll post an update once I'm able to give concrete evidence.

After only the stem popped out which left the rest of the assembly stuck I
    - unclipped the rail and it’s attached harnesses
    - removed the right bolt on the bracket and loosened the left bolt to get the entire assembly out from over top of the hole
    - I then had to screw the tip of a large lag bolt into the opening to pull the rest of the valve out
After 250K, the orings were completely caked with crud.
Wish I could check wether this new valve does any good but with all the other work I’m doing with plugs, oxygen sensors etc. I’ll never know.
