    The quarters were good, but you needed access to properly weld where the quarters were blocking ?

      The quarters had skins. I had to take them off and put all new quarter panels on that car. The bottom door Striker was rotting away also the front door pillar with bad so I had to replace everything.

      Definitely. If you follow my videos from the beginning, I show you exactly how I do everything to replace the floor pan. All the best

    Looking for a picture how you reinforced the body before you took the floor out. I'm installing the same floor

      Check out this video that I made. It shows you a little bit of the bracing. I did not focus on that part. I hope this helps let me know. All the best

    You should put the floors in before the rockets it helps keep it square

      Dog is my co-pirate awesome Nathan I knew I liked you from the start.😁 I have been working on cars since I was a kid. The oldest truck I had was a Willy's utility body 1953 pickup. I restored it about two years after that I needed some money so I sold it. Now I miss it. ATB

    Nice job Can I ask where the full floor pan with rockers came from OPG? And does it come with the braces underneath ALSO?
    Thanks Glenn

    Starting on a 1970 GTO that the floor pan is in similar condition as yours. However the rockers appear to be in good condition. Is it possible to do a one piece floor pan replacement without removing the rockers?

      I'm not sure about a 70 GTO , but they do make one for 68-69 A body from OPGI without rockers. Go to their website you might find one there for 70. Good luck let me know if you find anything. All the best.

    Would u think i would have to take mine off the frame? I'm trying to do the same thing not sure how it would work on my 72 monte carlo

    • @classicrewind2715
      @classicrewind2715  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Someone asked me the same question not that long ago. Yes, I suggest you take it off the frame to do the proper job. Getting the floor pan to mate under the door pillar is very difficult. All the best

    Dude your project is about as bad as mine. I think drilling spot welds is one of the worse things ever! By the looks of it you should have just got all the new sheet metal and welded it together and had a bon fire to celibrate! :)

      Yeah I should have. But I think the car came out really nice still have a lot of work to do to it. Keep changing my mind on how to do things. Now I'm thinking of putting shaved door handles on. Trunk popper and remove all the key holes. Thanks for commenting all the best

    Dude to much bracing I put full floors in those cars all the time it won't move on you if it does it's very little the floor will bring it back

      Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I did notice some movement in the rear quarter panels and trunk. When I remove the floor. I just wanted to make sure. I did not want to have a problem reinstalling the floor pan and the trunk pan. All the best my friend
