That's Pro Pilot 1.5 . Right now, only Japanese and US versions get Pro Pilot 2.0 (if so equipped) with hands off operation, automated lane changes etc.. That system is easily recognizable by the two shark fin antennas, the eye sensor on the steering column and the vastly different looking interface.
That said, Pro Pilot 1.5 already is very good 👍

According to the internet propilot is mobileye tech . So the 2.0 version is the EyeQ4 which is the same one used on the new BMWs if I'm not mistaken

I think the software can be different. It is huge difference between Ariya and BMW iX to be honest in the way how they drive

    • @zorintoto1167
      @zorintoto1167 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@januszpelc3936 definitely true but also Nissan has added extra chips but didn't specify how it works with mobileye
"Nissan’s ProPILOT 2.0 system is powered by two of its automotive-centric systems on a chip (SOC), namely the R-Car V2H dedicated ADAS device, and the RH850/P1x-C microcontroller. Along with a MobilEye EyeQ4 SoC, the Renesas chips are on a proprietary Nissan circuit board."
EDIT : I think the website i got this data from is mistaken . The propilot 2 doesn't use mobileye at all instead it uses Renesas's autopilot system

Does it have a DING when going between Green wheel and Grey Wheel (off) ? Dangerous if it has no alerts.

    • @NameNaameNameeNaamee

      Of course it has.

Yeah i wonder why there is music on top of this video, would have liked to hear the real life sounds of the propilot working. On another youtube video with a different model nissan - x-trial with also with pro pilot - in the city the warning noises where annoying and way way too often so would have liked to hear it in this video. My mercedes doesn't sound an alert when the green wheel turns grey and i want it that way ... in the city it goes often out of green, no problem for me because i have my hand on the steering wheel all the time i immeiditaly feel when it doesn't help with the steering.

    Thanks for testing :)
That 'hold the steering wheel' notification is wayy too often.
in tunnel section playback at 0.5x , dings as little as 4s . so even if playback was at 0.25x thats still only 10s

Probably about once every 60 seconds. Steering wheel is capacitive touch so you could avoid seeing just by having a hand on the bottom of the wheel I would think.

Capacitive steering wheel helps a ton, the warnings will be far less frequent with Pro-Pilot 2.0 equipped cars in the US since it's a hands off system

I had a 2018 Leaf with ProPilot and just held the base of the wheel all the time. Makes it all very relaxing. Like other driver assist systems, and Teslas when it works, you will be amazed how much less stressful it makes driving. Go on a 200 mile journey and feel like you drove 30 miles. Really!

Again: for Nissan many roads are too narrow to turn lane assist on :(

I'd rather a system that knows what it can and can not do 100% than a system that wings it and gets it right most of the time, but occasionally kills people.

@@NameNaameNameeNaamee I see many cars which can run in similar conditions, but Nissan don't. At the same time Ariya couldn't manage normal corner like 03:10, and the worse info is it didn't inform the driver. so you are not right!
