Anna I just brought watercolor paints a month ago .so I started searching on u tube to see how to paint and what artists style I was drawn to and I love your realistic style . so I watch you and took the free class on the pear and strawberry and with your lessons I can not believe the out come of my paintings.I have never picked a brush up till now and wished I would of years ago.I would like to show you my painting.but not sure how
Thanks for the free lesson too! It's going well, although so far mine looks a little more like a Monet than a Mason - lol. The technique is really fun and I plan on continuing.

I’m in the middle of doing this pear tutorial and I have to take a break. I’m currently very frustrated and discouraged because my pear is in the “ugly stage” all my paintings go through and I’m not understanding or seeing all the tones that she’s pointing out and with all her slightly but similar different mixes. So I’m just painting random spots on the pear because I’m just confused
Don't get dispondent. Paintings do go though an 'ugly duckling' stage. That's because of the way we isolate the highlights and then shift to the darks. Please don't get despondent and finish. If you're not happy then make sure you share you're struggles. Keep going.
