    Hi friends, this week I'm offering you a 30 minute practice perfect for beginners! Now just because a class is for beginners, doesn't mean it isn't challenging! We are going to work on building foundational strength, balance and flexibility. The great thing about this practice is that there are no props necessary and it's great for all experience levels.
    If you're new to yoga, remember that the most important thing is to stay focused on your breath. Don't worry if you don't get all the poses correctly or if you need to take a break. Be patient with yourself, do what you can and remember to relax. This is a wonderful class to alleviate stress and anxiety.

    Can I just say how awesome this is? My daughter has PE as a class and she’s required to exercise for 30 minutes a day. I’ve decided to do it with her so I can lose weight and gain some more confidence. We had SO much fun doing this together. We giggled as things we couldn’t do and congratulated on things we could do. We are excited (well I am) to do it again tomorrow! After we get good at this, we will try another video!

    I’m not a beginner. I did yoga almost everyday for 2.5 years after finding this channel. 2023 brought me a break up, a job shift, and a whole dark-night-of-the-soul experience. I stopped doing yoga all together. It feels strange to come back to a beginner class but this also feels like exactly the place I need to start. Your message at the end reaffirmed this!     There’s no way this was 30 minutes! It’s felt like 5 maybe 10 minutes tops. My lower back has never felt this good in a while! Thank you for making this. I’ll be doing this daily!

    a little motivation for anyone who needs it :)
    i started my fitness journey a few months ago with little success, the workouts were too strenuous or boring.. i have adhd and trouble focusing, which also comes with the low self esteem. i hated my body, but in the past few years i'd barely done any exercise so i didn't know where to begin. i came across this video a few days ago and i couldn't even finish it! i thought beginners yoga i can't even do.. today is the third day and i completed it with minimal strain! so i just want to remind you that if you're in the same position as me.. unfit, lack of skill etc. that you can do it too. it's hard getting started, but once you keep at it, i promise it gets easier. I'm going to incorporate some weights and other exercises but another tip: KEEP IT EASY AND SIMPLE. your mind won't want to begin if it knows it's in for hell, think of it like a practice and time to yourself rather than something difficult, reframe your perspective :) the most important thing is making it a habit in your daily life, once you achieve that, you can start to make it harder (read atomic habits if you need a hand with this).. anyways, good luck

      30 years? That's impressive!! I am a life long weight lifter, and am starting yoga now. I've started and stopped several times, but I am sticking to it this time! There are to many benefits to ignore and not take advantage of! All the best to you with your future practices

      True. I’m just starting yoga and this feels so warm and welcoming. Other people I’ve tried following were doing these intense “beginner” stretches and I was dying from pain and getting mad that I couldn’t go as far as they did. This feels good. Makes me want to come back every time.

    Your knowledge of what people will likely be doing with their bodies always amazes me. Just as I realised I was curling my toes and trying to grip the floor with them, you prompted us to be aware of this and not to do it. Living in a very remote rural area I have been so grateful for your classes and even more people must be so during this crisis. Thank you again for sharing them with us.

    I don't realize how much my body is tense and how much i hold my breath until you say, "Relax your head and shoulders..take a deep breath in" etc. Thanks! It really helps me when you tell us to relax and breathe!

    This video changed my life! I started 10 weeks ago…I only made it 16 minutes the fist time trying. Ten weeks later I can do this plus a 10 min energize practice in the morning and do another 30 minute evening practice before bed. I’m 52 years old and had rotator cuff and back surgery less than 2 years ago and never thought I gain any strength or flexibility back. You are patient and kind and an amazing instructor. You encouraged me to just keep trying. I’m far from anything beyond a beginner but I’m farther than I’d ever thought I’d be. Thank you so much! I encourage everyone to subscribe and follow. Work all the beginner practices until you find the style and routines you like. You won’t be sorry :)

      When I started doing the first few minutes, my kitten was at my fingertips trying to get me to pet her. It lasted a while with her rolling her body all over my hands. At the end, she was asleep beside me.

    I never used to be a believer in yoga. I've had scoliosis since i was a child and migraines since becoming an adult due to how tense my muscles get in my spine, shoulders and neck. I started off with your videos and let me say.. my pain has never been more manageable. If I wake up sore in the morning, I throw on one of your videos and suddenly 30 minutes later I am pain free and relaxed. Thank you so much for what you do! Another migraine conqured with yoga!

      Glad to see you feel way better after doing yoga! Yoga has made me feel better since our high school PE class included mindfulness at the end of my high school life, and it had literally changed my life ever since! Whenever I'm under a lot of pressure, yoga is one of the very first thing to do before I concentrate on my assignments. I do hope that more people will see yoga as one of the relief measures in life, because it helps with your life step by step! (sorry if my grammar doesn't sound logical, as I'm not a native speaker)

      Flexibility and core strength go a long way in terms how you feel. I too have scoliosis (mild one though), yet I feel better than most of my undiagnosed friends of the same age.

    I just completed this video - for me it’s Day 1 of my weight loss journey. As a 300lb person it was difficult all around - downward dog is not my current friend but overall I feel great at the end of this video 💛 can’t wait to watch many more

    I may only be fifteen but this realy helped me figure what I am comfortable with and what I need to work on in my body. I am so thankful for this. Maybe if I stick with yoga I can get the healthy body that I want. I'm definitely going to sleep better thanks to this.

    i have been doing beginner videos for about a month and a half. Today I tried this one again and to my delight and surprise it was almost easy- no ressistance, no sweat, no pain. I am so happy that I can see change in my body and that i showed up for myself everyday- thank you kassandra for these videos and also if you are scrolling these comments wondering if it is even possible or if you feel like you re the only wooden person uncapable of doing yoga or exercise- just keep showing up for yourself, it is possible! give yourself a chance!

    Recently, I had back surgery and have been down in the dumps for a while, now. I used to be very active; running, disc golf (my Lord, do I miss it), lifting, etc. My doctor has cleared me to do some light lifting and stretching so, I went to TH-cam and went through a few channels before I landed on this one. I really like it. Her style is very calming and understanding of people that are just getting into it. Before, I was a little woo-woo about it, but I can honestly say that by the end of this video when we sit and do the "ohm," I really do feel more centered and balanced and my mind has slowed down significantly.

    This was nice! I've been getting out of a really bad and long period of depression and I'm trying to treat my body better. I had given up on my body and I'm trying to exercise now while I have the motivation in hopes that I'll be able to keep with it!

    I've never been able to get into yoga, but when I did this 30 min online session, I was totally hooked. Now, every morning, my two teenage sons and I go through this yoga sequence under the guidance of your very calming voice. It's the only way to start our mornings.

    Thank you for your kindness during that exercise. This is a great starting point for someone like me who has waited far too long to get back in shape.     I got covid 5 weeks ago and I'm having a really hard time getting over it. I decided there's no point laying on the couch and feeling sorry for myself so I've started doing this routine most mornings. I have to say that it is actually helping. I cam feel my blood pumping and I feel more energetic when I'm done. Sometimes I have to stop for a coughing break and there's a couple of thing's that I'm not strong enough to do yet, but I'm going to keep at it. Hopefully one day I'll progress to intermediate stage. Thanks so much for putting this out there Kassandra. Peace, love and light.

      Yoga with Kassandra that was amazing thanks so much for doing these. Been meaning to start doing this for ages and with everything that’s going on I’m glad I’ve made a start. They’re so quick to do I’m sure I’ll continue this even after everything goes back to normal

    Perfect pacing for a chubby middle aged lauded who hasn’t done yoga before. My cat sits on my tummy for bridge pose and gives himself a little wash... I love all your other beginner videos and do them daily! Thank you kassandra!

    Since I've been in quarantine (and my doctor recommended it) I've been wanting to do yoga, because I'm not getting exercise everyday, like I should be.     I was looking for a 30 minute morning stretch as my lower back is becoming very stiff. I found this beginners yoga class with Kassandra. It was just what i was looking for. Challenging without being too difficult. I used to do Iyenga yoga many years ago but got out of the habit, which is why i needed a beginner class. You are an excellent teacher, calm and gentle. I shall make this part of my daily routine from now on. Thank you🙏🧘

    I’ve been doing now a few weeks, maybe 15 sessions and while I’m not new to fitness, 100% novice with yoga. This young lady is Awesome! I’ve made great strides in the session and am looking toward to that flow in the movements and transitions.
    I will definitely be moving on to her other classes…in time.

    Its 6.30 am in India n i jus finished this 30 min yoga practice. Being a new breastfeeding mom these stretches did wonders for my aching upper n lower bck.😊 Woah that felt good!

      I agree it was a great video to get back into yoga after quite a few years absence! The best part?     I came a cross to found you when I searched YOGA , I always want to do yoga but it had never happened so far so this morning I tried to do 30 m beginner yoga with you and I could not believed it at the end I was crying like a baby ,feel relieved and tons of burden was lift, I had been since last week and my blood pressure was high,, thank you so much Kassandra and sure will follow and do yoga with you everyday now ❤️❤️❤️❤️

    I’m kind of a newbie here! This was a really great intro to Yoga! I tried Yoga a long time ago in a high school class and it hurt 😢. The teacher turned my leg (I had a bad knee from playing soccer) and it hurt so much that I never went back to Yoga...until today. Thank you so much for this! I had zero pain from doing these poses and I felt so relaxed!

    This was really challenging for me. Good video. I can't lift weights for a while because I had a heart attack but this help me feel like I'm at least doing something to challenge and stimulate my muscles.
