A couple of things I was thinking about 1 the under bonnet sound proof,2i can't remember if MK1 had it but the under engine plastic protector be nice to know, even better to find them.
just got my mk 1 ford focus 2003 though the MOT, no advisories.
Those protectors might be unobtanium from ford, I'll check. The sound proofing also!
Just got to that part of the video aswell, still got my original exhaust at 85k miles on an 04 plate it’s starting to blow somewhere however
That is extremely good for a low-mileage example!
@@usuallyfixingtinkering yeah it isn’t bad struggling to decide what to do with the car tbh with you, it’s got tatty paint work, blowing exhaust and the front bumper hangs a tad. Don’t know whether it’s worth getting parts of the tatty paintwork sprayed or do I just replace the parts with new primed parts and just paint everything as I get paid :) bit of a project I know but I’m struggling to justify selling and letting go when it’s had a major service and been relatively well looked after other than the point mentioned above.
@@usuallyfixingtinkering jinxed it haven’t I, driving home from the beach the pipe after the cat disconnected from centre box….
Would you mind putting the part numbers in the comments if you don’t mind would like to change some of these bits on mine. Bit of an update aswell still haven’t managed to source a decent leather interior for that interior swap :(
decent leather sets are difficult now but they do come up but... be prepared to do some re-dye of the seats! I have mentioned all the parts numbers in the video hence why ive not put them in the comments
🙏🏽
Diesel sump is rusting too at least tddi. And how the hell it is possible to remove that stone deflector? Mine is bit de attached seems on corner.
You have to bash it backwards, its a real tight friction fit into the groove on the underside of the bumper
@@usuallyfixingtinkering Can I use metal hammer or rubber? Or it doesn't matter?
rubber!
