Awesome. In a couple of weeks I'll have a video of my delivery of my Hiker. I've been active on both the verified owners and buy/learn/sell Facebook groups too!
I've spent a year planning on building my own trailer. I have very specific galley and cabin needs because I plan on a year on the road and working remotely. But Hiker has me motivated on what they are willing to do for customization. Now I just need to save a bit more.
Kyle, Hello from South Florida. I put in my order for a Hiker Trail just a couple weeks ago. I too purchased a 510MRXL in Burgundy. I almost sent 100% maxed out, but eliminated the fridge box due to the fact that the fridge lid will not open all the way. I have a trip planned in May to go to the Smokys, then Shenandoah, then Hamvention. After Hamvention, I'll skip over to Columbus to pick up my Hiker and stay in the area to run through all of the possibilities while I'm close to Hiker. I'm looking forward to see what you do with antenna mounts, etc. I would have introduced myself to you at Hamcation, but you were eating lunch. Maybe next year, if not Xenia. 73
Awesome! What is your call? Welcome to the Hiker family! Let's sync up as I'm excited to hear another ham radio operator has a Hiker! I'm still trying to figure out what radios and antennas I'm going to mount. I'm thinking about putting an APRS pico tracker on it for when I'm away.
Dang, Kyle. This is turning into a very expensive video for me. :) Super tempting...all of it. I see one of these in my future. Bringing yours to Dayton this year? -Thomas
I have been watching a lot of videos on Hiker Trailer. I did not know about the sqaredrop trailer, and now I am obsessed. Just debating. If I want to risk it and convince the hubby and family, this is the route to go with. We are a family of 5 with 3 young kiddos still. 1 pre-teen. I would need bunks. But I love how rugged this is and how easy we can do off-road camping or public land camping. We shall see. Defiantly look better lasting than RVs
That netallic beinze cokie looks good. I juat bought a new colorado zr2 un harvest bronze metallic color. That traiker would loook gois being towed behund my truck. How much for that type of hiker trailer with awning and better off road suspension as i go driving up in our southern Appalachian mountains in tn,nc,ga and va.
I’m trying to find more info about their AC unit. Me and my wife are retiring in GA, and I feel like the AC will be a welcomed option. Just the powering options are what kind of worry me. I guess I kinda figured with the right set up, the trailer could run the AC without shore power or a generator….
It does not pop up. Currently there is no sink option but you could modify it to accept a sink in the galley. Many people have. A hot water heater is for washing dishes and I got the shower enclosure attachment which allows me to take a shower on the road

I love these guys. Affordable or tricked out… they work with all budgets.
GREAT trailers. Got ours in November of '23 and we LOVE it.
Awesome. Are you going to be at HTC 6?
@@squaredropadventures Unfortunately no, it's 1,200 miles away for us (20+ hours) so we can't swing it.

Congrats on joining the Hiker Family! 🤙
Thanks! Very excited to be a part of it! Many adventures to come!
I saw one of these going down the road today and immediately liked it. What got me was the way the guy had it set up
I'm thinking I could do that.
We just ordered ours and can't wait to take delivery. Thanks for the content; as it helped us make our decision.
Awesome! That's what the videos are there for! Welcome to the family!

Thanks Thomas. I won't be bringing it to Dayton. Just too complicated, plus I got an AirBnb with some friends. We are a week away!!!!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it

You can price out anything you want on the Hiker Trailer website.

You might want to send them an email. I feel like any option you have with AC you are going to need shore power to run it.
Yeah that’s what I’m finding. Thanks for the reply! Great vid
You’ll need shorepower to run it. I added a soft-start system to mine, and run it off of a 2000w Harbor Freight generator.
Have the ac framework put in and the buy a 12volt ac after the fact
I notice there are differnet heights on the trailers, but I don't see that as an option when building the trailer. How is the height decided?
The height of the trailer is determined based on what model you get. There should be specs on the HIker Trailer website on the height of each model.
did you consider the Encore Rog 12RK/12BH?
I did look at these. They were one in the final decision.
“I call this color…burgundy “ K.I.S.S.
Do you plan on doing any overlanding with it? I don’t see many people taking these off-road.
No not really. Maybe some forest service roads but nothing serious that a regular pickup couldn't manage.
Funny I reached out to Hiker several times but no response. I wouldn't say there the best at communication.
did you send them an email? They usually respond in less than a day. Sure you have the right communication method?
Does it pop up so you can stand inside? Is a sink an option? I was wondering why you can get a water heater without a sink.
It does not pop up. Currently there is no sink option but you could modify it to accept a sink in the galley. Many people have. A hot water heater is for washing dishes and I got the shower enclosure attachment which allows me to take a shower on the road
They can add a panel on the side that a sink connects to externally
Do they come with a mattress?
No
