Very good explanation, thanks. I only have a problem I can't find or get access where I can turn the water supply off. But I have the same taps and need to make the same replacement you did on those taps. Seems easy enough but with water supply on it could go like a fountain couldn't it? What do u think

yes it will be messy to work without turning off the water supply, check under the sink usually there is a shutoff valve, or other place to look for utilily storage where water tank located you should be able to find the valve there., i hope it helps gudluck with the fix.
