UPSC Civil Services Exam is one of the most prestigious exams in the country. It has three parts, the Prelims exam, the Main exam and the Personality test, which you need to clear in order to become an IAS or IPS officer. All other Group A services of the Government of India recruit people through the UPSC Civil services exam itself and because of this, there is a lot of competition in this exam. Hence, your UPSC preparation should be strategic, informed and well planned.
Your UPSC preparation should not be based on blind adherence to any program. Rather you should give a thought about how your are preparing. Take an affidavit stating that both are the same person i.e. your father. You can give the same during the interview. Not an issue.

Most probably you're not eligible for ews. If you're applying for 2024, it means your I&A certificate must be based on 2022-23 FY and that too be less than 8 l.p.a. And one more thing you cannot change your category if you do not fall under obc or sc or st.

If other income is 8+ i.e excluding salary then you aren't. Otherwise you are. Salary isn't counted

In Bihar we don't have Tehsil or Tehsildar. We have Circles and Circle officers equivalent to the rank of Tehsildar. Does their signature work on the EWS certificate?
No. You have to get it sign from SDO level.

Center govt. Doesn't issue SC certificate as the caste will be permanent ig, i was also confused and i kinda confirmed from cafe's and govt. employe as well.
my friend who is also SC gave GATE exam and through those marks he got chance into NHPC , he filled up the form , after the result he got a call from them they said that your sc certificate is not issue by central govt but state govt. ... My friend who is also SC Gave GATE exam and through those marks he Applied for NHPC which is a central agency after that exam he got a notification from the office that he has been debarred Because the cast certificate is not issued by central government but state government . Show Nhpc despite being a central agency did this thing therefore after that I also got confused about this. Now he has applied for a central cast certificate through our nearby Jan suvidha kendra . Central government is issuing SC cast certificate for sure because I have seen it by myself .

The central government doesn't provide caste certificates. It is the state govt who provides. Keep this in mind that your SC caste certificate must be at the central level (meaning your caste to be listed in the central list), that will be issued by the state govt.
but my friend faced this problem while applying for NHPC which is a central body , he cleared the cutt off through GATE but after the exam and process , he got a call from the office and they told him that he has been debarred becoz his sc certificate is not issued by the central govt but state govt . and it was also clearly mentioned on the NHPC portel while applying . now he has got his central govt. issued sc certificate from our nearby jan suvidha kendra. @@explainingissuesforias4391
