- A lot of you keep asking me in the comments section why I didn't join the civil services despite clearing the exam. So here's my story. This isn't just about the service; it's about how I panicked, completely lost it, cried, and overcame the most depressing phase of my life.

UPSC Civil Services Exam is one of the most prestigious exams in the country. It has three parts, the Prelims exam, the Main exam and the Personality test, which you need to clear in order to become an IAS or IPS officer. All other Group A services of the Government of India recruit people through the UPSC Civil services exam itself and because of this, there is a lot of competition in this exam. Hence, your UPSC preparation should be strategic, informed and well planned.
Your UPSC preparation should not be based on blind adherence to any program. Rather you should give a thought about how your are preparing. The best way to go forward is to study the blogs and tips given by previous year toppers about how to go about UPSC CSE for all three stages of UPSC Prelims, UPSC Mains and the Personality test also known as the UPSC Interview, and then make your UPSC preparation strategy accordingly.
Doing static subjects like polity, economy, environment, geography and history for your UPSC preparation is a solid bet to increase your chances of clearing this exam. But this must all be supplemented by current affairs for best effect.

I remember, that I used to practice in court and in my leisure hours, I used to watch your videos to strategically plan my preparation. I am of the thought that UPSC can never be taught to anyone. You didn't mention studento TH-cam channel devendra rath channel in which your first interview he has taken , people comment on that video positively that give you confidence and from there you decide to came from to josh talk expose yourself to you tube completely

Mujhe तो तरस उन गरीब और लोअर मिडिल क्लास ओबीसी एससी बच्चो पर आ रहा है जो दिल्ली ,लखनऊ , इलाहाबाद में १० साल से upsc की तैयारी कर मां बाप पर लाखों का कर्जा चढ़ा रहे ,बस किसी फर्जी मूवी और motivatonal क्लिप देखकर।

He got selected under obc category. But dopt didnt accept his obc certificate citing that his father was a psu employee.

@@besan_ka_halwaas per rules if parents are not A grade employee upto the age of 40 years then their children get the benifit of OBC. Same is the case with these candidates. Their parents were in govt job but they were not A grade officers.

I have met a few UPSC aspirants who failed and I have seen them breaking down and eventually turning into arrogant and egoistic human beings to mask their pain. That made me quite demotivated to appear for this exam.But you are really an inspiration. You fit perfect to the quote that, a true teacher is like a candle which consumes itself to light the way for others.

Filed a case in central administrative tribunal won in 2014
But why ?
@@yashuaggarwal2401 dopt said an irs has to lift a trunk weighing 10 kg which she can't because she had sclerosis.
But there were no rules given in the physical requirements of an irs. It's waa a way to stop her from getting job as an IRS
There are many rules regarding selection procedure and physical requirements for job by UPSC.
Ex- if you have diabetes you might not get selected a case pending in court
There are many cases pending in the courts we only know about a few

Mere sath bhi kuchh aisa hi hua tha. Mai jee crack kar liya tha but 12th me 2nd aa gya tha. Log puchhte ki kab join kar rhe ho college? Koi kuchh to koi kuchh puchhta. Is wajah se mai darke room se nikalna chhod diya.

He got selected under obc category but couldn’t provide income certificate to UPSC and dopt satisfaction.He would have already availed reservation benefit for his iit degree.Har kyu man liye general se exam de dete jab itna gyan pelte ho

I m myself obc ncl. Brother obc ka advantage nhi laga toh app automatically general me hote. Lag gaya toh obc. Now what happens is middle class me 1st graduate and then work. Iit layak jab nhi hote. Science me 90% and all. Toh aap naukri karte hi EMI loan me fas jate. Naukri chor nhi sakte. Aur age ho jate. 31 me you start thinking ki dete ias. Thora confidence aur paisa aajata to sustain without job. Fir obc ka age relax use karne ki koshish karte

Bhai it’s very easy to criticise. What ever he did it was governed by the time and situation. We all are slave to them. But what’s worth appreciating is that he cleared prelims mains and interview. I have tried giving UPSC and I couldn’t even clear the CSAT of prelims once. Also now he runs an enterprise that has helped many clear the services. So hats off to the man

Nice of you Abhijeet that you quoted Dylan Thomas. Loved your story. I'm going through a kind of 'depression' (not clinical) right know. It's takes such courage to come out and pour your thoughts. I see somewhat of myself in you. Keep going. You have done well in life. Your startup has helped many including me. Took the course prelims 360 for this year prelims. All the best and hopefully I am also able to achieve something good. ♥️
I can go on and on, a lot of failures since 2019, not even one respite! Last year, failed state pcs after giving the interview! I'm going to appear for the interview again next month! I don't know what's gonna become of me! I'm dead inside! I don't know from where to procure the courage to go on!

Abhijeet sir stands tall after rising from ashes! I remember how one shorts video of you just 7-8 days before prelims’24 changed my perspective about end tak jhagarna for your cse dream. And I did fight till 4:30 pm that day.

Cried throughout the video. Maybe I needed to hear this to let go off my emotions. Have been trying to clear UPSC since five years but nahi ho raha hai. I put in so much effort but still something always goes wrong and it’s so frustrating and painful. This year my GS went well but I am failing CSAT by just one mark! Now 2025 is my last attempt and I am already very nervous and afraid to even start the preparation!

Hello sir ,I am sonali singh ,i am also upsc aspirant and I give my3rd attempt in this year. ,last 2attempt not clear prelims and in this attempt result is not coming out ,and I am not sure about of clearing prelims or not ,paper are going good but I don't know🤷 what happened ,if I clear prelims ,can you and your team guide me for mains, because I have no personal guidence initially ,I think that's what I am not selected ,but I have one problem again I am not effort fee in present time ,if you have any policy of mentor scholarship please contact with me 🙂😌

This was an incredible thing to watch. I’m a 2022 ranker currently on leave and I’m going to write mains this year, but the interview marks that I got in the year I was selected had jolted me from within. The thing is that all the worst possible things I could’ve imagined happening to me, happened. Failing whatever stages I did. But I pride
Myself over getting back up again and shooting my shot in a direction I feel is important to me. Here is to you shooting your shot at the universe sir. I used to think it is so banal to keep talking about picking ourselves back up and giving ourselves a chance, but I didn’t realise how powerful this act could be. Also, currently reading a book which beautifully underscores the power of language in shaping our self and its concept, and it only made me realise that until we reshape the way we talk to ourselves, there is no way out of anything.

btech krne ke baad mene upsc or state psc ki preparation start krdi phir kuch time baad conditions favor me nhi thi to mene dobara engineering mein job ka try kara par abb gab ke chakkar mein job nhi mil rhi. everything is so messed up.
