this is by far the most honest and humble review I have ever seen. My only reason for getting this, is after 30+ years of training, my twin brother wants to be able to play in tournaments and his standard hitbox isn't made for ps4 or ps5. so I want to surprise him with his first actual tourney hitbox.

Really love the level headed and honest appraisal of it. Honestly the biggest deciding factors for me pulling the trigger on this were one: goblin brain sees shiny purple and wants it, and two: The fiancée said "do it." 💜

Wow. That "you don't need this" was exactly what I needed to control my purchases. I'll play for a while with my Victrix pad and max out my time with it. My trigger for getting this might be an announcement of a Mahvel 4 at Evo. Lol. As mentioned by others here, thanks so much for the level-headed and honest review. Sub for that!

I’ve been eyeing the Victrix FS-12 because of my seemingly unbreakable habit of trying to rest my palms on the bottom of the Hitbox, thus digging into my hands with the rough edges, so this review really helped me form my opinion on whether I should upgrade or not. Great job man! 💜

Still deciding. Only reason I don't want a custom for cheaper is that the brook board for ps5 games is 100 bucks, which I need when sf6 and tekken 8 come out. If I'd be spending that much on just the PCB I'm thinking I might as well just go all out and get this, the only hitbox with built in ps5 compatibility. Seems to have the nicest enclosure of any box I've seen, plus I love the RGB and how easy it is to customize (just wish there were more colors) Think it's worth it in my case or still no?

    • @Tr1zzle

Well like I said towards the end of the video, what kind of player you are will ultimately dictate if you should pick this baby up. Your dedication to the genre is what I base it on. If you are going to use this thing every day and get time in on it, then I don't see a problem with it. Plus you said it yourself, it's set up for PS5 out of the box. So I think you will most likely be pleased if you fit this criteria.

I live here in Canada and placed my order for the Victrix Pro FS (the one with the stick) seems like getting a fighting stick or hitbox here is next to impossible at the moment lol and since it’s an officially licensed product and the quality is top notch decided to pull the trigger. This purchase is essentially one of those “you get what your pay for” so yes it’s expensive up front but this thing is going to last you probably 10+ years to the rest of your life depending on how you treat your stuff. And with SF6 out, MK and Tekken coming out definitely worth the money

💜 Great video. I've had a hitbox for a while now, and have never felt that it "fits" my hands (they are massive). I'm traditionally a stick player, but love the precise inputs that I've seen by using the hitbox. $400 is still an enormous ask for a controller (got my hitbox used for $180).

yeah just bought it after watching, own the victrix ps4 stick, bought this purely to have the same wrist comfort(and looks), with the excuse of a licensed ps5 controller for no issues at tournaments.
been playing hitbox for 8 or so years but my other hitboxes are flat and small, been having some wrist pain using them after breaking my wrist and healing.

I would say the best fight stick for modding was the Ettoki Omni. It had the best cables-so smooth to change buttons, with no need for force and pliers. I wish they had a PS5 version 😢. I also have the Pro FS 12 with Crown Metallic Gold buttons. It was such a mess to screw in the forward input button...

As a new comer to fighting games - i keep hearing the debate over Hit box vs stick.
Personally, I am coming over from the FPS/MMO world where KBM is widely used.
Hit box makes the most sense to me but I feel like, some would call me cheap or "you didnt learn" trash.
When it comes down to it, I think playing your own way is best. However, I am curious as to what the community has to say on it

unless you are the very very top of ranked in terms of skill it will not matter. there are a few instances that make playing on a hitbox objectively better eg. guile charge motions, some just frames in tekken, and other general socd stuff, but chances are you're not anywhere close to that yet so don't worry
