I just built mine not too long ago and largely agree with you on certain issues, especially the obvious mold lines on the thighs causing the foil sticker to bulge slightly around the middle. I was also surprised how the shield when pegged onto the arm actually reduced the range of the elbow a little.

I love your reviews, and they paint excellent pictures of this line, but ever since I started building Gunpla I've always gotten the Master Grades; I just love the 1/100 size but I guess nostalgic stubbornness is really to blame. lol Anyway, as always, amazing review!
I'll be getting one of this next. Is there any better option for a real grade 00 to date? I read the Raiser is very good, but not sure how they compare.
damn! we both lose the clear parts for the head of exia. I'm following your reviews and I'm surprised we both experienced that. I just finished ng exia last tuesday 😁😁😁
i just finished HG exia yesterday. the kit was mishandled during shipping despite the "fragile" label and the right chest piece was broken at the right side of the vent. Gonna get the RG exia in next week or so i hope the mail carriers are more careful.
My first build kit gundam is exia rg and now i have 3 model gundam 00 exia raiser qan t...this 3 kita so awesome...and for all kit gundam rg i think gundam 00 its the best kit😁i like gundam exia good
Forgive me, this is my first RG model- I see at 2:28 you show the decal sheet with stickers 41, 2, and 3 unused- so should I choose between using those three OR sticker 1? The manual has zero English at that point so I'm a little confused.
Mecha Gaikotsu can u tell me why u would rather choose the exia over the strike freedom as the strike freedom has better articulation apparently and GREAT accessories.Keep up the great reviews! 😂
high grades, as long as there aren't a ton of interruptions and depending on the kit, can take 4-8 hours. a real grade might take a couple days depending on the same factors.
Honestly, I am glad you had this review. It's made me rethink purchasing this kit and just going for the metal build or customizing the HG kit. This has also made me glad that I haven't preordered 00, as I will be looking forward to your review on that. I honestly feel that these 00 designs are far to cluttered with their RG releases. The beauty of these designs is their simplicity and mobility, both of which are lost in this kit.
Building the head is a disaster, the sides keep failing off, stickers are awful the side panels in the head was the definition of frustration. Shame cause, I love the Exia but this RG was disappointing to build.

The hip armor can slide up, and the hip joints can slide down, so the model can actually almost lift its foot to its face.

Veiados I was exactly the same way. I never bothered with RG kits at first for the exact same reason, but once I tried one I was hooked.
