For today's video, I would like to build up this kit, the RG 1/144 scale GN-001 Gundam Exia. This kit was released in late May 2014 according to Hobby Search Japan (www.1999.co.jp...) and it is quite late for me to have this kit in 2019. By the way, I really love Gundam 00 series so I need to have one of these in my collection. So, I bought this kit at a small store which cost me about 20.55USD. To make this video a little bit different from my previous RG build-up videos, I did share some tips and techniques that I always use while building up gunpla model. I hope it will be useful to you guys. This video will be a long video since it is a full build video. I hope you enjoy the video and have a nice day : )

in not a veteran of gunplas. this was my first RG. i made a couple HR before. and asambly this was the hardest gunpla i have done son far
have you ever stressed on the head unit?
This build was very difficult for me but very rewarding when it's finished.
I’m trying to figure out the friggin head man! I can’t get the side pieces on with that holo part on the scalp
@mattmanshaw I had to use tooth pick too guide it into the slot. Because when you go to to put it together it pops out.

The tools you use and techniques are a great help to me ..because I've been studying the manual .I don't want to use step by step video although it's appreciated......I will use the manual to build but I had no idea what tools I needed... its... very new to me but your patience also a helps 🙏

The hip spikes at 13:20 are a struggle to put on idk how you did it so easily
The inner gray part (the jointer) must be in a correct position before u put the skirt armor
I am also having trouble with this step. I can NOT get it to click like you did.
awesome but you're supposed to put the silver stickers behind the holographic parts.
This kit is what made me quit Gunpla. I had such a difficult time with it.
If the gunpla still with you, keep it. For some reason it will going to be one of your favourite toy one day.
Come back,but pick up an mg kit. I have this one but if I have problems I will put it aside and do an easier one.

Is there two sticker options to put on the legs? For instance silver stickers or purple?
Sorry, it takes me awhile to find the answer but I think no. There are no two options. The purple thing is not a sticker, it’s like a plastic sheet. The chrome sticker will be putted under it to give a shiny effects.

What nipper do you use? It looks very sharp. Is it expensive?
Its called Plato nipper. This is a budget nipper. Really cheap and suitable for beginner.
6:18 hey bro I'm new to gunpla building. Is this the included stickers on the kit or is this the one they are calling waterslide decals?
Hi there. Actually at 6:18 is not a sticker. It is a plastic foil. This kit doesn’t come with any waterslide decals (they did produce water slide decal for this kit but it sold separately) . The only decal that come from this purchase is the regular RG decal at 1:00
@@asmrbuildtv oh thank you for clearing that up. Is the plastic foil also sold separately? And is it safe to apply a matte top coat in it?
That plastic foil is included in this purchase and I don’t think it sold separately for that. I suggest to remove the plastic foil before applying some topcoat because topcoat can frosting the part (is the same for clear parts).

Hello, would you mind telling me how the model holds up with time? Is it getting loose easily like other early real grades? Thanks!
This kit of mine still holds up till now and it's probably because I rarely play with it. I think this kit will get loose too just like other early RG releases since they mostly use rubber kind material for its whole frame.

I’m planning to do that after repaint it but sadly I already sold this kit. Maybe I can buy again and show a full paint process someday
@@asmrbuildtv for me i would never buy a already built gunpla because for me i really like the build and want to build it myself so it's more intersting that way buying a built gunpla is like buying a built t-34 model but if the price is reasenoble i would maybe buy it becuase some modeler make shit model that then get sold for 500 dollars which is absurd
@@The_last_prime yes, I understand your feeling. I was like you back then but day by day until modelling become my passion and I love doing all this. I bought used kit to practice my airbrushing and painting skills. I would like to share with people what I have learned someday.
@@asmrbuildtv modeling is alreaady my passion. What you do is something i do as well i have looked at many techniques from proffesionals and use them on the model i am working on now. It's a ship that my uncle gave me and now i am restoring it.The bridge and some parts were totally missing and i'm working on scratchbuilding those. I also bought two kits one was a king tiger and panther both in 1:72 and i have stripped the panther and painted it from internally. Now i'm scratch building the internal stuff from the panther and slowly by slowly i'll be done. Tho i can't find a lot of time for modeling since i have to do my schoolwork every day. So it's just school work only. In vacations i do modelbuilding and i already bought a few paints for the ship and for the panther and for the exia. I have those paints in a box and all my tools as well. And if lockdown is over i'll get my birthday mony so i'll buy the rg exia. I really like modeling. i really like that kindhearted poeple like you share your techniques so that us novice modelers can learn from them thank you.
@@asmrbuildtv I also watch you're vids they're really good and calming. Because most gunpla modelers who show the full build just show the parts being seperated from the sprue's. for 99% of the time and that's something that get's on my nerves tho then i stumbled upon you're great channel when i was searcing for rg exia ful build

You might need a gundam marker for panel lining

I think they might just be standard metal files

This is no help at all you give no instruction what so ever as to what piece goes to any piece like wtf
There’s a manual inside the box sir. I just show how to assemble only.
