for those who cant find the addon: gitlab.com/nickfx/camtrackar-importer-for-blender/-/tree/master app is called CamTrackAR might only be for iphone but im not sure
Unfortunately I only have an Android phone, but I would go about it like this: film some footage, bring it in Blender and do a very simple quick camera tracking. Since I'm just going for realistic camera movement and build my own environment which doesn't have to fit the original footage necessarily, this should be good enough.
If you analyse tracked handheld footage you'll find different types of random movement on different axes. This allows you to use the noise modifier method with more realistic, non repeating motion (unlike camera shakify add-on).
To change the brightness of all selected lights you can hold Alt while clicking in the value field and then enter the value, this way they will all get the same strength. Or another method, let's say all lights have different strengths and you do not want to make them all the same, but make them all e.g. 50 W brighter. Then first click into the field without Alt, enter a value that's 50 W more and press Alt+Return to confirm the value. This way all lights get 50 W more on their original strength.
You definitely can. And if you're not trying to perfectly match your camera motion, that is, you're not compositing something on the original video, the track doesn't even have to be that accurate or good. Just walking around with camera in hand, then solving its motion so it very rougly matches the handheld camera still gives you a more natural look than keyframing and adding a noise modifier. I tried it once and it worked fine. You can even clean up the motion track, removing the majority of the keyframes and it still looks very good
can you make a tutorial for a node in the compositor that adjusts it exposure according to how bright the thing its pointing at? like the kane pixels backrooms videos
i dont know if this would work but for perspective i thought of using fspy to accurately calculate the perspective for a frame and it should match throughout the video maybe
yeah im also wondering this. virtu camera seems simpler and better in many ways. but I guess CamTrackAR is better if you are doing VFX on footage instead of just pure render? or can virtu camera do that too? its such an amazing app
Hey, so I know you seem to be avoiding this question, but what happened to walking across the US? haha did you ever address this in a video and I missed it or something?
@@TheTurt1e9 well that's unfortunate. I live in Vegas, where they have all the big tech conferences, which showcases other phones, which are better and cheaper.

Trying this right now in my backrooms at 6 am :D thanks for the tuto!
This is pretty sick , and holy shit how did you teach me about it so fast, man had a gift
"Hopefully have an iPhone"
EMOTIONAL DAMAGE
Most phone sensors are 4:3 open gate. So you are using the full - wider image when it's shot that way.
Dude i needed this, thanks very much
Thank u. I actually needed something like this
You can do it with any type of footage if you just use tracking instead of whatever you're doing for it to be iphone specific
Why would this be better than Virtu Camera? That app is fuckin legendary
Great Video!
If you don't have an iPhone, you might be able to get by with blender's camera solving? I guess it depends on your footage, and your hall.

Yes, he did a tutorial where he extracts the camera movement from a footage and applies it to a different scene.
I clicked on the link, but it keeps making me fill out financial information.
yes, in case you forget to cancel before the free month time, that's what all paid subscription does when they don't have a free plan

so this is better than tradicional 3D solve only for the speed right?
why use this version over Virtu Camera where you can actually view the scene in the phone?

how do i get the files from my phone to my computer? i can only email the py file and nothing else

How well would you say Camera Shakify (developed with Ian Hubert) works as an alternative to this?
what about Virtu Camera?
We need a video about your trash can 😂
I love the fact that i cant do it and need to buy iphone
Android has blendARtrack
Hi
well,30$,I cant afford to buy this app
