    The fuser gets very hot so be careful when Handling the Fuser. Wait for the Fuser to cool down before handling. It can get as hot as 200 to 300 degrees.

      thanks. I can't answer that question because you need to do what you like. powershell is for system admin or azure admin. sql is for sql deveopers, cmd is commonly use for helpdesk or system admin.

    Oh printers... I have a love hate relationship with them lol. It can either be the quickest fix or you have to go through a huge process of getting a tech sent out to fix it.

  • @prophit06

    Overwhelmingly, I find that with local printers the issue is actually resolved by simply removing duplicate, triplicate, even quadruplet and more copies of the instance of the printer. People run into issues and as a result of them troubleshooting they make it worse by plugging and unplugging trying to reinstall drivers and then they get jobs stuck in multiple instances of the print queue. By deleting all instances of the print and print queues in both print management (may have to cancel all jobs for each instance where there are any) and device manager then plug the printer back in and on device manager search for hardware changes. Wallah.

    • @prophit06
      @prophit06 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also while in device manager make sure ALL instances are deleted. This includes the following sections print queues, printers, both USB section. Once you do that close printer and scanners screen and reopen and all those instances should now have a remove button. Then you remove all of them. This is before you hit search for hardware changes. So then when you do plug the printer in and check for hardware changes it will rebuild itself and 9 times out of 10 work. Make sure when in Device Manager to show hidden devices.

    Have you covered "Offline printer" issues? That is a common problem as well. Great video, though!!!

    • @KevtechITSupport
      @KevtechITSupport  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I haven't made a video on that. That's usually a network related issue like vpn, or network configuration with the printer itself on how it's set up in server manager.

      @@KevtechITSupport I had this issue on a customer's HP printer on Windows 10, and I fixed the problem removing and adding again the printer.

    Relative has me troubleshooting HP 9015E not fully installing because printer does not complete registering. Have spent 4 days on phone with HP support. Printer does print and scans only using the PC app, not with HP Smart. Tried to install the complete 9015 sw but tech said it was already installed. Could it be that HP Smart is already installed on a profile and am trying to re-install printer on wrong profile (#2, the profile the relative has asked me to use)? Obviously, I am not familiar with profiles and how programs operate between Wins profiles. OS Win 10
    Additional info. Short story. Relative known to use two profiles on PC when using Win 8. Now upgraded to 10. 9015e had been fully functioning for months on Win 10 before HP and I had to recently get involved. Printer would not print or scan. 9015e has repeatedly been (re)installed by HP through remote desktop on profile (call it #2 profile, possibly wron one) while I watched. After 4 days, I can only assume 9015e is fully functioning on #1 profile and we've been working on wrong profile this whole time. Again, not my PC, unfamiliar with Win 10, profiles - and how they can affect program installations.
