how much, if at all, do they test about specific names of parts of each printer? How much, if at all, do they test about the specific order of steps in the printing process for each printer? To be most frank, I think this module throughly covered how to fix potential problems, but really did not detail those aforementioned matters. As a new tech person I would consider this module to have been presented in a slightly more intermediate manner. Thank you for the time you put in! I still learned quite a lot. I'm honored to be one of your Patreon members.
You are really good with teaching Mr. BurningICeTech I must commend you sir. I’ll like to ask is a passport printer a perfect example of an Impact printer or they aren’t related?
Thank you. With regards to the printers you asked about, no a passport printer is not the same as a impact printer. They are two very different printers
@BurningIceTech in school they are going over the 7 Laser Printing steps (Processing, Charging, Exposing, Developing, Transferring, Fusing, Cleaning) and lots of other things to do with laser printers. I just wanted to know if there will be detailed questions on all of these 7 Laser Printing steps in the CompTIA A+ exam? I am studying hard and watching and learning from your videos but some of the things in the book at school are going into the nitty gritty which is why I'm asking if there will be this level of detail on the tests? I feel some of the things they are going over are overkill. Would it be good enough if I have a good grasp on what is being covered in your videos?
thank you the muffin man. i have a question please, can i say ethernet as you mentioned is not limited to LAN cables and can also mean all cables used for connection ? also can i also say the ethernet falls into level 1 (the physical layer in OSI model) ? thank you
Hi, Yes, Ethernet is not just limited to "LAN" cables. It for example also includes Fiber Optic cables and Coaxial cables. Also yes to the Level 1 of OSI
I would add to troubleshooting: if a printer is printing completely black pages it could be the result of malware or a malicious actor on the network. It was a relatively common tactic used by "hacktivists" in the 2000s and 2010s.
You can...but I personally would not recommend it. Most of the stuff in the Core 1 exam will mainly be out of the first 9 modules BUT, there are a few questions which will cross pollinate. They will mention and refer to things in the exam which are in Core 2 (the other half of the modules), and if you have not covered that content yet, you could end up being confused in the exam and possibly get the question at hand wrong. You don't have to go through Core 2 but I personally would recommend you go through ALL the modules first before attempting the Core 1 exam. In the end of the day it's not more work since you would have had to go through it anyway to write the Core 2.....your simply delaying your first exam every so slightly until you cover all the content. You don't have to follow this advise but that's what I'd suggest based on what I've seen in the exams
