- System administrators have a diverse set of roles and responsibilities, they can range from configuring servers, monitoring the network, setting up new users and computers, and more. Think of a system administrator as a tech generalist, they handle many different things to maintain reliable computer systems in a multi-user environment.

I never ended up pursuing the certificate (might go back for it when I have time though…), but the Google IT program gave me the confidence I needed to pursue an IT career. Now, despite having no certifications (and just about six months after having first learned about Google’s program), I’m working as a desktop administrator and make awesome money (considering this is my first IT job).
Hopefully some time soon this certificate starts to get the respect it deserves. A proctored exam would be better… but the Google program taught me far better than CompTia training did.
Congrats! Since you don't have any certifications, what helped you get the job? I'm job hunting (working on getting certs) and feel like I'm missing something. Experience? Or something else?
@@AMCW90 how long have you been learning? so you saying its hard to find a job?
@@AMCW90 Internships, word of mouth, events and meetups, temporary agencies, subscriptions (to sites, events, newsletters, local businesses) etc.
These helped me land an IT career and I'm still trying to improve and learn more. Never stop.
That’s great 😊
@ronniekoomba922 how did you get internship without a related certificate?
As a soon to be sysadmin college student, this was super interesting to listen to! Gave me a very good grasp on the basics of the role and what I am getting into. Thank you!

How do I find internship opportunities? Thank you 😊
what are the main elements of user support policy?
Is sys admin the same as system engineer?
Sys admins regulate existing networks. System engineers can also build new networks.

What is the exact job of system administrator
That's what the video tutorial is all about
They do a little bit of everything when it comes to computer maintenance.
Manage systems
Setup, Maintain, and Manage Servers primarily. System Admin is mostly about automating processes
Great videos. Thank you.

Please how can I be a system administrator
MCSA/Microsofts latest general server Certification, building and managing your own lab, volunteering for projects at your helpdesk/tech job, etc.
how systems administrators can automate installations?
A script can be written that does an install. Do some Google searching and you can find out more
@@ciscocomputertech thanks for your answer.
is this job gonna survie in future. i heard the system administrator jobs gonna decline exponentially in coming years because of automation. please give your views on it. I'm about to apply for masters in networking but don't know if it's worth it
AI will take over. It's going to take 10 years at least usually
If every company on earth becomes one and no one ever does anything different from another, then yea, maybe it’ll go extinct. Highly doubt it though
Yes and no. There will always be the human element required, even if only to communicate with the client.
@@ciscocomputertech Wrong, at least the admin is there to do tasks and makes decisions for which he can be held liable as a person what as ai never can do. alone for that aspect the job will be safe.
someone has to manage the automation tho
Paypal and credit card service is not available in my region how can i access it now?
