I just bought a Boomba mount and heard that it settles in after 50 miles. I expect the vibes and less comfort, I mean, seriously! You have no rubber bushings! But if I have zero wheel-hop from 1st to 2nd gear and way less hop from launch, I can handle that! I'm about to install it after my first oil change with Hyundai. I just hope the Michelin all-season tires I bought don't diminish the gains I get from it.
Thank you for making this video. I've been looking which way to go for an RMM. Just did a tune on my EN, The wheelhop is ridiculous anytime in 1st and a bit in 2nd. It's absolutely pointless launching the car, just beating it up. Ordering one now!
Yeah every reviewed EN 6MT has this issue, glad someone has a fix for you 6MT guys. I wonder if it works for us 8 spd DCT owners, although our wheel hop is nothing compared to you guys.
Great video! I have the DCT model and I replaced just the rubber bushings in the OEM one and it helped a ton with the wheel hop. The bushings were only around $40 so it was quite a bit cheaper. I did it around a week ago and the extra vibrations seemed to have calmed down quite a bit, but there are still there at idle with the A/C on. Eventually I'll replace the entire motor mount, I just wanted to go with a cheaper option at first to see how much worse the vibrations were.
I own a Elantra N as well and I want to get the jb4 but never installed one before is there a reference video you watched that you can link me. Or if I maybe even watch the veloster N jb4 install is that the same exact way as the EN?
And for the harness option that you have to choose which one did you choose? Between the v3, v2, and v4. Confused me bc it says 1.6t, 2.5t, and 3.5t but none of those are 2.0t obv.
@@slow_rednline4874 they have a 30k mile warranty so should last 2-3+ years depending on how much you drive. I wear them out in half that mileage so I get them discounted every time
Seems like a solid option. Did you get wheel hop with the stock P4S or only with the aftermarket tires? I have 1,500 miles on my EN DCT and I haven’t tried launch control yet, which is sad lol. I need to find a good place to try it out.
hey thats a good thing the break in is like 1000 miles to be safe. i just got mine to day, DCT in grey and I hate not being able to go over 5K rpm safely lol
Well, if you don't mind me chiming in I'll share my experience. With the car stock I got wheelhop all through 1st gear, no problem. I put a tune on the car then got extensive wheelhop through 1st and 2nd gear. Still running factory tires. It was very depressing not being able to launch aggressively. I bought the Turbo Tech rear motor mount based on this gentleman recommendation. Now the wheel hop is completely gone through 1st or 2nd gear. I can launch as aggressively as I wish regardless of the surface. I could not be more pleased with this RMM.
I also own a dct elantra N and mpg could be anywhere from 36mpg to 24mpg depending on how u drive it,which mode u r on ,where u drive it, and if u use ac or not
not sure what that rattling noise is in the background, but it's EXTREMELY loud and distracting. and it's constant. sounds like some kind of plastic shaking around. is it maybe the plastic phone holder that your phone is sitting in that's shaking around? either way that constant rattling sound makes it very difficult to focus on anything else. just thought I'd let you know for any similar style future videos. anyway thanks for showing us the difference in the aftermarket lower rear motor mount
yeah if you go to about 5:20 after you launch it, it continues for the next minute really bad as you discuss how the wheel hop has drastically improved. but it's pretty evident throughout the entire video. but if you want to know what I'm talking about then go to 5:20 and over the next minute you'll realize what it is. like I said, it sounds like one of those plastic phone holders rattling, but that's just a guess. all right thanks for not taking my criticism badly as it was just meant to help. 👍
I picked up my 2024 Gray N today (7/20/24). I love it! Triple
Installed the TTR engine mount today. Perfect for my needs. Thanks for the suggestion. Triple
but you didn't do a 0-60 to test if it improved timing.

The rmm is a must
@@ndriverkg104 100%, I've sent several people your video. That mount is a total winner.
@@LordHolley nicee thx, the wheel hop is a crime

I replaced the RMM bushings on my Veloster N and it reduced wheel hop and improved the shift feel, especially from 1st to 2nd. One of my first mods.
@@anthonysmith1456 it wasn’t too bad. I think it took me about an hour to do, but I’m by no means a super handy guy.
For safety purposes, there should've been a second jackstand. My lower mount on my Mazda3 really improved shifting and reduced wheelhop.

Yes exactly the same install it takes 5/10 mins

Its great they come with Michelin Pilot 4s but unfortunate most owners won't pay up when they wear out

The vibrations are usually only felt at idle, especially with the ac on
It's the same part as the volester n?
Yes
Definitely getting this. Does anyone else still get wheel spin in 2nd gear??

@EN_noah it's 600🫤
@FatMENdriveTRUCKS it's captured by the oil filters so u good
What made you decide to do the turbo tech over Boomba?
Has the vibration went away?
Yes it has about 3-4 days later it did
