Thank you for dedicating your free time to us! You are really appreciated for your commitment to your car and to us! And thank you for showing us the plug and the install!
Just a tip for anyone who sees this, but a much easier way to take the taillight is to take a pair of pliers and pinch the white plastic clip holding the taillight in from the top and bottom. It should come right off as you give a little pull to the taillight, but make sure you unscrew the nuts first of course. It’s better to have someone pinch it for you as you gently pull the light

Very nice instructional video! It definitely looks much cooler and brighter w/ the brakes on. $90 is a bit steep though! I appreciate all your work on this channel.
Maybe down the line if Yasiel can do a solid light instead of blinking; call me paranoid. Just got the Rally Armor flaps on, 6XTH catch can will be next, then maybe prop rods. Most important right now are rubberized official floor mats, and winter tires on plain steel rims. Gotta prioritize. MPG update. My wife took the Elantra to BJ's, and did me a favor by filling it with their 91 with her discount. This was not a good thing. I don't know the methanol percentage in their gas, but since it's less energy dense than straight gas, I couldn't exceed 26.2 MPG. Once I burned through that tank and refilled with Shell 93, MPG went right back up to 36+. Lesson learned!
I’ll make mention to him about a solid light, but I can’t imagine it would be that hard for him to do if you requested it. I also have some floor mats coming this week, granted they were free but hey I’ll take it 😂. And thanks for sharing that info about the gas, I typically stick with shell or sams 93, never used anything less. I’ll be sure to fill up at Shell before we go on our road trip this weekend 👍🏻
I had no idea it made such a difference using Premium vs Regular. The owners manual makes no mention of the pros of using Premium instead of Regular. So thank you for the info. Btw I only use Shell fuel in my cars for years. I will switch to Premium on the next tank! I also agree with you I would prefer the third brake light to stay steady as well! Btw is your Elantra N Manual or DCT?

Just to set the record straight as I put in the time researching it a few years back. Federally it is technically illegal in all states to have a flashing red light on anything but a emergency or police vehicle. There may also be more prohibitive local and state laws on the books that depending on local may be aggressively enforced or not. There is one major loophole and that's how the dealers can offer this type of device and install it in a lot of states. The devices they install are offered by a specific company and are not available to the average person. How they skate the laws is the they do not flash (turn on and off) but in actuality pulsate in a high low state never turning on and off but it creates a flashing effect. Not unlike the flashing effect you notice when videoing a LED light or a monitor. Just at a much slower state that the pulsation is visible to the human eye. The dealers push it because it has a huge markup and is good for their margins. Even then I can only imagine having to explain it and how it works if getting pulled over for it. IMO it's a silly and outdated law as it was put into place before we had the tech that we do now to control the flashing of any lights cheap and easily. Really doesn't present itself as impersonation of any type of emergency or police vehicle since it doesn't repeat the flashing over and over. In edition every study that has been done clearly shows how brake lights of this type can reduce accidents. In Europe most of the major auto manufacturers are starting to deploy something like this. I like Ford Europe's approach on some of their vehicles the 3rd brake light works as it does here but under certain perimeters one being a panic stop the G meter will trigger a series of flashes to indicate rapid deceleration and warn other drivers. No reason we can implement something like that here 90% of what's required is already in most vehicles yet the government forces the automakers to put TPMS in all vehicles! this would most likely prevent more accidents than under inflated tires! We are way behind in respect to headlights and tail lights compared to the Europeans. Don't even get me started on the whole amber and red marker requirements here in the states. All that said I have installed on in both my Elantra N and a similar setup in my Focus RS just added a switch inline so I can disable it for mandatory state inspection and when conditions require me to so I won't get hassled.
This is awesome! I love this mod. I always see subarus with the mod near me. I need to get this on my EN. Question...is there a way to make it so it doesn't flash or is that just standard. Either way it looks great!
The later model late 2022 23 has an led fog light fitted. So only have to get a flasher module $7 eBay. Wire that to the brake wires and run down to the wires on the fog light.

Might want to do some research on this, everything im researching is saying this is illegal because of the pulsating light, wonder if theres a way to make it solid light only
Many dealerships try to upsell to get you to install a flashing 3rd brake light, and overall it’s for safety for people to see that you’re braking and help get their attention. I did see mixed opinions online, but it really shouldn’t be an issue.
It's so sad that they don't make them anymore:( I tried ordering from your link, but they are out of stock. Do you know any other place I can get them?

Shouldn’t be any issues with being legal, many dealerships offer a blinking 3rd brake light as a dealer installed option. I don’t think it’ll be an issue as it’s considering to be safer for drivers behind you to see and grab their attention when braking.
@@ENtense Cool! My biggest fear was officers considering the flashing red light to be illegal since it's used for emergency vehicles, but you do have a valid point.

I wouldn’t get the CF hood struts, just go for the normal black. It’s just a plastic anyways, plus they’re a tad bit thicker and may actually cause fitment issues. Working with the seller on the issue. And you don’t need to lift the car at all to do the reflector, just have to be able to get under the car and be able to wrench a bit.

Pretty cool. And I’m not trying to tell anyone what to do with their car or their money. But to the best of my knowledge it’s illegal to have any flashing or spinning red lights anywhere on a civilian vehicle. If it didn’t flash it would be fine.

Anyone buying the light from the email below, make sure you ask him to provide the nut/washer that is needed for the ground wire. My light came with 1 clamp & no nut/washer. Made my installation that much harder …
It is meant to do that. There will probably be different opinions on why. You could say to grab the drivers attention behind you when braking, or you could say it’s a “style” thing.
The fact that almost every single car on the road has an led third brake no matter it’s age, but a brand new 2022 doesn’t is so beyond me, who let that slide. Halogen brakes lights and turn signal is also really a big let down.
I dont get the silly triangle reflectors design fad everyone is using. In most cars it does not fit the design aesthetic. The Elantra being such a car, it looks tacked on as if to say "me too". Those crimp connectors are terrible in the long run. I'd recommend not using them. They are not waterproof and work thier was loose over time giving you an intermittent connection and allowing corrosion to get into the wire. I like your direct approach to videos though, I watch but xdont even own that year Elantra. Lol
@@ENtense He's right, you really could. I just did this install and I pulled the light just to run the wire easier, but if you look at the red wire it does go straight into the wire harness. You could tap it just inside the cover that you pop off.

Anyone buying the light from the email below, make sure you ask him to provide the nut/washer that is needed for the ground wire. My light came with 1 clamp & no nut/washer. Made my installation that much harder …
Where I can find this light?
Yasiel on IG makes and ships them, his info is in the description 😁
Hey man is there anyway to contact you ??
Discord is the easiest way or email him entenseblue@gmail.com
Thanx bro
Why does it flash like that? Is it meant to do that?
It is meant to do that. There will probably be different opinions on why. You could say to grab the drivers attention behind you when braking, or you could say it’s a “style” thing.
Not looking grounded? Blinker
?
How do I get in touch with yaisel?
His IG is in the description 👍🏻
Where to buy?
Check the link, look for Yasiel on IG
What state u live in?
Michigan
이녀석 이건 너무 좋잖아!! ㅋㅋㅋ
You should do a gas mileage video. I’m seeing some really varied accounts. I trust you and would appreciate the info.
I’ll try to get something like that done, with how little highway driving I do it’s tough sometimes.
Is it legal?
Yes
FYI. It's illegal in some state. Maybe all of them.
The fact that almost every single car on the road has an led third brake no matter it’s age, but a brand new 2022 doesn’t is so beyond me, who let that slide. Halogen brakes lights and turn signal is also really a big let down.
It has a 3rd light in the rear glass, this is a 4th light.
Dont like the flashing at the beginning :(
He can make it as a solid brake light too if you prefer.
@@ENtense good news!
Lol
185$ 😳
I wish I can afford this car😭
One day 🙏🏻
You know you can just tie it in before, no need to pull the light
Not where those wires are actually. Unless you cut the harness behind the trunk panel, which might not be safe to do.
@@ENtense He's right, you really could. I just did this install and I pulled the light just to run the wire easier, but if you look at the red wire it does go straight into the wire harness. You could tap it just inside the cover that you pop off.
bro is really trying to charge people $175 for a simple LED light & wire run
Where did you get your n mud flaps. Been searching for them a while and cant find a site
