Dina-I’m so grateful your shop was on Main St. after I took an adult ed class at my high school in Port and needed help (pre-You Tube) in 1998. You were and are so gracious and welcoming, now on social media also! You continue to inspire, as well as Pam. Thank you😘😘😘😘😘😘

Knitters are all you said they are. As a former LYO, we share, give of ourselves, teach, donate and do it with joy, tenderness and love. Coming to a yarn store is cheaper than a psychiatrist. You and Pam are fabulous examples and you are so much fun to watch and learn what is going on in our craft!! Thank you for your talents and sharing.

Early morning knitter here. Already a few times tried to stay up late for live zooms or so…..did mot happen. And I really can go to bed late ….but apparently not for knitting, such a strange thing🤷🏼‍♀….but i really liked that Crosswalk, she did a very nice job👍🏻

I used to stay up and knit until 2 a.m. or even later. Now I try to go to bed before 11 p.m. Sometimes I want to finish a piece, e.g. a tubular bin off and then I keep on knitting in the wee hours but only if I don’t have to get up early the next day. By the way you are both looking beautiful in the last episodes ❤

Hello to both of you, i have watched the beauty queen of Jerusalem too, i liked it as well, but thought the mother in law was a nightmare, and I agreed that the wife was in a tragic situation right from the start. Really enjoy your chitchat before the knitting, always love what you knit and the colours and yarn you use. Thank you. Pamela hall

My hubby accompanied me to Rhinebeck last year and was amazed at the kindness and comraderie of knitters. He said “knitters are the nicest people!” He wants to take me again this year. Oh, and he liked the food trucks too 😂

I don’t usually knit late because I am too tired and I make too many mistakes. I generally get up before 6 AM for work and knit for up to an hour before I start.

It's called 'solar dyeing-. You put your wool in a glass jar with your natural dye in the sun for a period of time. I've never tried it but definitely seen others do it!!

Hi, Dina and Pam. (Spoiler alert: This story starts out sad, but ends up elated.) I wanted to tell you that I finished my Franky a few weeks ago. I was knitting it on the side while also knitting my son (you may recall) a 15-skein blanket. That was a commitment! Meanwhile, I (blush) kinda got angry with my Franky because pretty deep into the knitting, I realized I had made at a mistake that I couldn't drop down to fix. (The yarn is beautiful, but the fuzziness made it difficult to find the error.) I had to frog. As a result, it seemed like it took me forever and ever to finish the sweater, and I had a bad taste in my mouth. BUT. I wore it for the first time this weekend, and I love it. It fits beautifully. It looks great. The (recommended) yarn is soft and light weight. It's just marvelous. So, if anyone is considering, I highly recommend. The occasion to wear it was parents weekend at my son's college. A trio of young women, incidentally, who passed us on the sidewalk remarked how much they liked it and said they were wondering where I got it. My husband chimed in: She made it! Separately, Dina, it was nice to bump into you on the street the other day. Hope to see you and Pam soon. I'm hobbled because I'm now commuting.

Hi Jo! Great story, Thanks so much for sharing. You must have felt very proud wearing it. My franky is I still a languished wip, I think you've just inspired me!
I made that train the other day...but couldn't find you! Hope to see you soon❤

Hi Ladies. My daughter and I met you in Sept of 2021 when we took a road trip from Boston. I’m hoping to make another trip soon. You are both lovely. Pam, re your crochet blanket, can you add a panel on each side of 1/4 or 1/3 the width of the middle panel? Either in the same pattern or a completely different pattern. Diane

Really enjoyed this podcast, was happy that you showed some more Yarns and some more ideas. Lots of good conversation, always nice to see other peoples knits as well and Dina I’ve been telling you to watch the bear for over a year since the beginning of the first season but I couldn’t explain to why it was so good I just said watch it, so I’m glad that you’re watching it. It is that good and the second season is fabulous as well. Looking forward to the Kal❤

I was wondering if it would be too much trouble to list the mannequins in the show notes and then just change what ever it is they’re wearing when are filming. I figured it’s probably customers projects you finished or samples you made but they’re always so beautiful and interesting.
