Guys, I have one major concern Does removing all the factory cosmoline promote any corrosion?? The cleaning process looks GREAT, But I don’t want to be removing any factory protection...
Thanks for the question and the answer depends on the situation. If you are going to daily drive, then you probably don't want to strip everything off as it does protect from salt and other contaminants. But, many of these cars are no longer daily, they are weekend cars and spend their life in the garage, so not much risk. We do have the ability to redcoat with 3M cavity wax which works just like the cosmoline we take off, only thinner, but it will attract dirt over time. Also, for the ultimate, you can ceramic coat all the parts, so they look clean and are fully protected. Here in SoCal, other than living by the beach, most folks just have a clean surface. We can also surface the original cosmoline, meaning just take off a small layer and leave it there, just doesn't show as well. Thanks!
Excellent, Matt! The exhaust and muffler look magnifico!
Thanks Tom! That technique is magic!
Another great video, the Ospho really does wonders. Looking forward to see the car finished in all its glory :D
Thanks Geir!
Amazing!
