      quite an issue that I’m still figuring out. For now I make sure to find one of my cellos at the destination by previously bringing it there (if it’s a common place to go to).
      The issue is about how cello cases are made (rigid or not) because their shoulder straps are always to high, leaving to much of the bag below the waist.
      Should I find a practical solution, I’ll let you know for sure!!

      Dont bother with too many mods unless you plan to keep the bike until you run it to the ground. I dont find it to be worth it to modify any "starter" bike, except for exhaust maybe. You're never going to get it to go super fast and it will be very expensive just to squeeze a few extra horses or shave a few pounds off a bike made for commuting. You'll never make your money back when you re-sell it, in fact, stock bikes usually go for more money. Putting $3k In mods on a bike is not worth it to only put 3k-5k miles on it...I'd say wait until your second or third bike, when you really get a feel for what you like and how you like to ride. Then you can get your "dream" bike and make the appropriate mods. I'm sort of on that step now myself.

Ignorant children that believe terms like “mega dank nooners” and various iterations of “Yam” are anything other than moronic, and thinking the street is a suitable replacement for a race track. Maybe someday you will grow.

      @@dubcityfx4841 its people like you who don't understand satire and sarcasm that's wrong with the biking community yet you probably pop down a twelve pack and think its alright to go out riding, yea cause that's smart maybe someday you will get too old to hop on your Harley and assault the road pirates with your loud pipes. maybe its you that should grow up bud. . .

    • @dubcityfx4841
      @dubcityfx4841 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      nicholas labrecque You just put your immaturity on full display by butting your way into an obviously ended conversation. With nothing more than accusations at best because your triggered at that! Nothing about stupid slang terms that one ACTUALLY USES are satirical, or the least bit sarcastic. I’m not even entertaining your “go down a twelve pack and think it’s alright to go out riding” nonsense. You are lashing out about someone you have never/will never meet so you have nothing but accusations to go on. Real mature there bud.
      My previous statement stands, and these immature children riding around on their street legal track bikes that regularly see triple digits and/or are often only on the rear tire on public roads ARE a stain on the motorcycle community. As are the “badass” MC wannabe’s. Grow up and act like a competent human being.

      On the other hand, Yammie boy for the most part is a metrosexual/drama queen who tries too hard to be funny. I had floor boards installed on my 2014 honda ctx700 dct. As an aging noobie rider, i found my feet tended to shake on the standard pegs, and i had a hard time finding the sweet spot for matching my foot to the peg. Floor boards changed all that. Riding away from the shop the first time with floor boards, i felt like I was riding a boat, and questioned my sanity, but I quickly got over that mod shame as the floor boards just feel safer, and like my leather chaps and jacket, build my rider courage and confidence so i can focus on building skills.

    I picked up a Gen II 2016 KLR 650 in January. The guy that had it before me put everything on it I would have and am very pleased. It has the Saddleman seat with the channel in the middle and I like it a lot. I think it’s called the track seat.
    They make a huge trunk that goes over the back of the seat making a nice back rest.

    Hey Yammy, I splurged on the “Air Hawk” Air pocket seat pad with dreams of feeling the wind between my cheeks on a swampy summer day. Yes I did feel that sweet sweet air although on my hypermotard I felt lacking in control when diving into those twisters and you will not be doing any dank nooners with this seat either. What it provides in comfort you lose in stability and connection to your bike.
    So if long lazy rides are your thing it’s worth a try

    More thoughts, Yam: I have found that turning the Crampbuster (wrist rest) tab down when you're not cruising is a good habit; reaching for the throttle grip in a parking lot after scratching your nose and touching that tab by accident can really be embarrassing. I like shorty levers because I use only 2 fingers but motorcycle cops don't; it's a personal taste thing. I put sliders on axles and frame to make sure my foot won't get ground down if I low-side. I also added a relay to control 12V switched accessory power (USB regulator too) and save the OEM circuits, then replaced all incandescent lamps with LEDs that are brighter and use less power. The Airhawk seat cushion is pricey but really helps long trips.

    One thing our sweet boy, Hammy Doob, didn't mention is that going too much smaller on the front sprocket can cause faster wear on your chain and that sprocket because the chain is having to make a tighter turn around said sprocket. It's usually a safer bet to just change the rear (unless you're going for a specific ratio), and you're able to more finely tune the ratio since changing 1 tooth on the front is *roughly* the same as changing 3 teeth on the rear.

    Even on my KTM which has cruise control, I use a throttle rocker as I have on every machine for the last 20 years. It reduces fatigue of the hand and wrist and is particularly important on the KTM which has hypersensitive throttle response, allowing very fine control.

      If he goes a bagger route I feel like he would benefit more from trying the Indian Challenger out. Both are expensive and comfy, and the power output is nearly the same though the GW edges it out. From what I've seen/heard even from GW owners/riders they like the feel of the Challenger a lot more. But I don't know if Yammie cares too much about the feel of V-twins. His buddy might like it a lot though even though they made a video crapping on Indian about it lol, he even loves the Scout to boot.
