Hello, thank you so much for this video! Have you used Liforme yoga mats before, and how do you find they compare to the ones you've reviewed here? I love my liforme mat, but it is heavy and I'm wanting a lighter mat to take to class.

You are very welcome! Yes I have used one .. they actually sent me one the other day and so far I truly love it! Super grippy without the rubber smell!!! regular size and nice and cushiony. So far very worth it!

thank you for this. I'm new to yoga and I'm trying to find the right mat for me. I'm 5'9 and my hands and feet sweat profusely so I'm looking for something with grip and that has thickness. I need cushion. which one would you recommend? I'm not concern about the cost really. If it's worth it and hit all the points I'll pay for it. I'' even take recommendations on blocks, bolsters, mats etc to start my home practice. Thanks:)
*until I create my own line of mats* 👀😅 I would suggest for you the long length Lululemon mat! It may smell rubbery yes, BUT you will be so much more comfortable based on your height!! And girl I promise I sweat like craaazzyyyy so use the side that isn’t as smooth!

Such a cool video, I have some old yoga mats and have been looking to get one. I like the scoria, but Amazon doesn't provide them. I think I'm going with the manduka. Trying to document my own 30 day morning stretch routine followed by meditation. In search of inner peace. =) Thank you for the post, great work!

I came to your video to find your thoughts on LuLuLemon. My yoga community is all about Manduka and after practicing for 12 years, i want something that i really love and not Manduka! :) The LLL New Year Merlot mat is really beautiful though! Was hoping for better reviews of LuLu.

And what do you think of your yoga mat? I ordered one myself yesterday to try, still didn't get it. Do you find that it has good grip also when it is dry?
When it is very dry it doesn't feel grippy, but soon you start sweating it gets really grippy. The cork is soooo comfortable

Hi I just found your account and while I found this video very helpful I’m now more uncertain which one to get 😀. I just need to remember that you can’t go wrong with any of them. I was certain I was going to get the lululemon one but I’m also now thinking to get the cork one based on what you had to say. I’m very new to yoga. First yoga class I did was hot yoga and I loved it. Of course my cheap amazon mat is not cutting it and need to invest in a proper one. Would you recommend the cork mat for hot yoga?

I'm not completely understanding the last part of your question, but if you don't have much to spend on a mat right now I'd suggest just running my a store like tjmaxx or marshalls and getting a decent quality mat for $12-$14 :)

I have a different kind of Sugarmat, with a grippy surface initially. However, the grippy-ness wore off on me in less than a year. It's now only grippy when wet. Not worth the money!
I have hardwood floors in my apartment so think a mat may make it more comfortable to do yoga
oh definitely you'll want a mat. But hardwood floor will be easier to balance on !

My issue is sliding on my mat when I do the downward facing dog pose and a few other positions. I think I need to invest in your favorite mat so I just ordered it. Thank you.
That mat is BOMB and is KEY being able to actually focus on your strength rather than slipping around.

I have a cork Mat,,,,, Do not like it---- is totally NOT as grippy as my Bmat-- Speaking of which,,, YOU should try the Bmat,,, have practiced OVER 40 years and Bmat is my favorite…….

I hear so many people saying different things about the grip of manduka. I just got the pro version at Ross for 49.99! I haven’t opened yet but did you have to use that salt methods and all to break in? Is that a must or will it break in over time?

Not much! It is fairly thin. If you’re going for cushion, I’d recommend Lululemon

I would say any PU mat or rubber mat (polyurethane ) like the maduka, or lululemon
