It's a great topic to revisit as per your precise instructions, Rob!
I studied it years ago using Maybelle Carter's technique with her banjo picks and thumb picks, and today is an excellent day to pick up my 12-string guitar and thus be by your side, which is always a pleasant and formidable company.
It's obvious... but oh, how good that Rickenbacker sounds in your hands!
Thank you very much for all your lessons.
    You're great.
A sincere hug and all my love and gratitude.

In the Echo in the Canyon documentary, they said that George Harrison told Roger Mcguinn that he got the Beatle riff from the Byrds

Fun lesson. Thanks! Interestingly, Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) and The Byrds Mr. Tambourine Man came out at about the same time. Big difference is that Norwegian Wood (On Rubber Soul) features George Harrison playing the sitar. The Byrds recording has Roger McGuinn playing the 12 string Ric in his usual hybrid picking style. He always plays guitar with a pick (plectrum) held with thumb and fist finger and metal finger picks on his middle and ring fingers.

Wow ! You are a great guitar artist and teacher. I'm loving it. You asked for suggestions, how about Crystal Ball by Styx, it has a fingerpicking intro at the beginning of the song. If you find the time. You are the best teacher, I've learned a lot, Thank You

Hi Rob --- another great lesson. I sincerely appreciate the effort you put into all of these. The 12 string is a beauty and sounds great - thanks to your pal for loaning it. I would be very interested in a cheat sheet on picking patterns. i've been doing quite a bit of finger picking since your Julia vid. Would also be useful to comment on your approach/process to determining the right pattern from listening to the track. Just thinking it would be beneficial to learn how to fish rather than being served all these tasty meals. thanks again

Roger McGuinn was a banjo player. He regularly used banjo rolls when playing Byrds songs.
    I really want a Rickenbacker 360/12.
As you have it could you do a tutorial on Turn,Turn,Turn. Please.
    Thanks for another great lesson!

Which kind of means be free to write and journal and write and rewrite doesn't it.
