This level crossing is located on the Pakenham line, nearby Officer Station. Suburban EMUs stop at Officer, while DMUs run express through Officer and this crossing at a speed of 115 km/h.
The crossing equipment includes:
- Westinghouse Incandescent Lights (Silver, marked and unmarked)
- Westinghouse Crossbucks
- 2 General Signals Type 3 E-Bells
- Westinghouse Boom Gate Mechanisms
- 4 unmarked bases
As of publishing, this crossing has been listed as one of the level crossings to be removed by the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), which will be done by removing and closing off this crossing entirely. This is expected to to be done by next year (2025.)

Officer South Rd is closed and removed as of now (All equipment is removed, and level crossing is blocked off by fences and access gates)
Station St/Kenilworth Ave level crossing is still there, the LXRA is still working on the overpass, but nowhere near done as of now. Progress on the overpass looks pretty good, I think they got the overpass section above the rail corridor put in while buses were replacing trains last week or so
(Btw Station St/Kenilworth Ave is in Beaconsfield, Brunt Rd is the one located in Officer, which has also got equipment removed and closed off)
