MAJOR PROJECTS VICTORIA
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the past 30 years, Major Projects Victoria has played an integral role in the planning and management of infrastructure and large-scale public development throughout the state.
Some of our most notable projects in Melbourne and the surrounding area include Federation Square, Rod Laver Arena, AAMI Park, the Melbourne Convention Centre and Hamer Hall. We are proud to have contributed to the history and beauty of one of the world's most liveable cities.
We fixed couple doors and stuff years ago and its so beautiful inside there. Be good to 100% restore the ballroom to its original glory. I could replicate it and the flooring pretty well
This is a wildly under-viewed video!
Lovely, Love Melbourne, Flinders Street station is amazing !! Its iconic Melbourne indeed !!
Impressive project - and great content!
Superb, simply superb.
Can you fix the toilets and ugly tiles next? The inside looks distgusting
how many rooms are actually used? will there ever be a time where the public can see them?
Great job everyone
That’s nice, but…..I’m watching this video from the down end of Flinders Street Station platform 5. The brick wall across from me is so severely dilapidated it looks ready to fall down at any moment. I can pick up individual bricks. The scene in front of me comprises a trash pile of abandoned building materials, heavily sooted exposed wires and an assortment of various clashing support structures for the Prince Bridge. How about we fix the parts of Flinders Street station people actually have access to…..before one of these loose bricks falls on a baby’s head. Regards - some rail worker.
I've always wondered why they never continued the Facade along St Kilda Road~
Music not necessary and far TOO LOUD.
When are they going to fix the Elizabeth st subway. Its crying out for a lift and escalators
after the metro tunnel its inconvenient enough already
Wish they repaint the dome black. I get that people like the patina, but it's just such an eyesore making the station look old and run down.

Strange, maybe not. I got a tad emotional watching near the end. I remember mum , born 1920 talking about meeting her best friend under the clocks. Then I did as a teenager. Nan born 1895 would have seen it at a young age and living in Carlton and catching the bus to the city., or we’d walk down. Yes Nan lived till after I had my first child in 1976. Mum passed aged 95 oh the stories they’d tell us of Carlton and the city - why didn’t we write them down.
Gucci gang
Well done to the present Government l doubt if it would have happened with others
The main focus of "THE STATION" ' is the dome ..as grotty as ever. Shameful .Spent $100 million and did not clean or preferably re copper the dome. That is the main feature of the whole place. Was it really that hard to do ...? A lost opportunity. .
i agree
Correct. Abhor the comments of phoneys here claiming heritage that is not theirs.
'lol...Copper is supposed to age like that.
The place is still a dirty grimy station not even brought up to modern day standards...a coat of paint big bloody deal...
You can’t restore that absolute joke of a train station
Boring.................it’s a train station choo choo
The ABC should do a documentary on this place and less left wing dribble
