Hi. Love your videos. Of all the tropical garden channels I find yours the most inspirational for what I’m trying to achieve. Edging and paths is on my to do list this year and I’d love to see how you do it. Thanks very much
Thank you. I really appreciate your comment. I’m definitely going to show some of the Construction of the new work and I will try to include the paving. Cheers
Looking forward to next year’s plans. I would find it interesting to see the actual landscaping for ideas and how to actually do it. Love the idea of rocks giving another texture to a garden, I’m hoping to create more texture in my garden next year and add some more plants of course!🌴🌺🌳
Hi and thank you. I think I’m going to film some of the landscaping projects as I think design and landscaping really is the backbone to a great garden. Hopefully I can start soon. Cheers.
More planting space??!! YESSSS! I'm here for it! Your circular lawn has always drawn me to your garden - I've loved the way your evergreens frame it. But the introduction of a 'journey' through paths will elevate it, creating curiosity and intrigue whilst keeping the flowiness of the inner circle. Your channel has definitely hit the mark in inspiring others, thank you for sharing and I hope your projects go well!
Hi and thank you very much. I love the fact that more people are getting into this kind of gardening and hopefully with all the channels out there now people keep being inspired and more of these kind of gardens are created. Cheers
Thoroughly enjoyed your videos this year and have taken a lot of inspiration from them. Would love to follow along with your build plans and redevelopment next year in addition to your regular walk-arounds.
Thank you. I’m really glad they have helped inspire you. The main reason I do these videos is to encourage more people into having the confidence to try these plants and this style of gardening. Cheers
Love your lawn looks so lush in summer I think a path will look great save walking over lawn keep it in great condition.i love my lawn I’ve done a round lawn like yours after watching your videos.i do cheat and get my lawn treated 4 times year and it’s absolutely lush.
Hi and thank you. I like a nice lawn as well. I like the idea of having that open space to see the garden from all angles. Thanks for the comment. Cheers
Thank you. I really appreciate the comment. Hopefully I can film the process. The ponds a bit of a learning curve for me but I’m looking forward to doing it. Cheers
the new plans sound great, it would be interesting to see the process! i think it will really transform the space. i also love having loads of rock and hard structures around the garden
Thank you. I’m really looking forward to making the changes this year. I just need to get the design right and then I think I’m going to get started. Cheers n
Looks like a great idea. I always thought the lawn looked a little too big but it could just have been the camera showing that as the plants looked a little too pinned back. Saying that you have one hell of a beautiful garden. Another thought is have a architectural palm in the dead centre of it as a show piece.
Hi and thank you. I agree with you that the lawn looked to big for the scale of the garden. Now my children are older I don’t need it to be as big and I’m looking forward to making the changes. I have thought about a Jubaea Chilensis. In the middle of the lawn in the past. So many ideas in my head. Cheers
Yes that was what I was thinking of. Might be a bit expensive to get a decent size but you could put a couple of fast growing deciduous exotics and some rocks round it til it gets a bit bigger. Hard to to tell the size of lawn but would only take up to half metre all round off at first to see how it looks as it’s easier to take more off than add it back. Looks like a great project to do and look forward to seeing the progress
Great concept with the new paths think you will enjoy the additional tropical plants to enjoy. Someone mentioned you bring their favorite Channel, I watch a lot as well and very few other channels teach and entertain like yours. Wondered if you had a frost yet or freezing temps. Here in panhandle of Florida we will be getting out first cold weather next week with temp -2 to -4 C with even lower wind chills
Hi and thank you. Tropical style gardening is my biggest passion and I also love the design and landscaping side of it too. If people watching can learn or be inspired by any of the videos or tours I do that’s a bonus. My garden plans are getting bigger day by day at the minute. I’ve had a few days of -1.5 Celsius so far and lots of frosts next week. Nothing that will hurt my garden though. Cheers
I always loved your garden as is, but I am sure whatever changes you make will look great. Having lived in a wet winter climate previously, I agree you need a path heading to the back. You’ll probably end up kicking yourself for not having done it sooner. With the expanded sunny garden area, perhaps some room for a Jubaea somewhere?
Thank you. I think I always knew I needed a path but at the time with young children the lawn came first for them to play on. Now they are older it’s finally time to get the garden a bit more how I imagined it. I’ve been wanting and looking at Jubaea for quite a while. They are expensive here as I would need one that’s already got a bit of trunk to not look out of scale. I do feel it will happen I just need to budget it in at the right time. Cheers
Hi and thank you. It takes me quite a while to edit the videos when naming all the plants on screen so I don’t do it all the time. Sorry. I will try to do it more in the future. If you ever want to know any names you can comment what time you saw them on the screen and I can check and let you know. Cheers
I will tell you something we both know: that lawn will disappear one day, it served its purpose so instead of making it smaller just go for it and start making that jungle-style garden, and instead of enjoying that small forest of yours edging with the neighbors, start with planting a pivot fast-growing tree right in the middle of the lawn, as a mother tree like in Avatar :), and make that maze around it, using Miyawaki method and one day enjoying under the canopy trees felling like being in Costa Rica or somewhere really in the jungle. Take a winter trip somewhere to the jungle in Central or South America, maybe you will have a different perspective. Thank you for your videos and the time you put into them. Happy New Year!
Thank you. I’m not quite sure I’m ready to loose all the lawn yet. I like the jungle look but I also like to see open spaces to appreciate the garden from different perspectives. Plus jungle gardens make it hard to plant sun loving plants as it can become very shady. Cheers
What a work of art! ❤ if you didn't tell us in you were in the UK, I would say it looks like you are in a tropical/subtropical climate zone. Where in the UK are you located?
Hi and thank you. I’m in Peterborough which is north Cambridgeshire. Well away from the coast but I’ve been lucky with a few mild winters recently which helps. Cheers
You mentioned that you have good nurseries now with more plants. Do you know of any in the Pacific Northwest of USA? We are in Seattle, Washington and surprisingly we don’t have many. A few small family ones here and there, none really specializing in hardy tropicals. Any good mail order places with bulbs/tubers….?
Hi. Sorry I don’t know of any nurseries your part of the USA. If you watch Texas Tropics channel on TH-cam. He used to live in Portland Oregon and I remember him mentioning nurseries in the past so he may be a good one to ask. Cheers.

Thanks for the comment. I do now plan on filming the changes to the garden. Cheers
Yes please, love your videos. Will look forward to seeing how you construct your paths and pond area.
Thank you. I really appreciate the comment. Hopefully I can film the process. The ponds a bit of a learning curve for me but I’m looking forward to doing it.

Your garden always looks great !!! no matter what time of the year you film it 😊
Thank you. I get lots of nice compliments but for me I feel I can improve it quite a bit so that keeps me excited about the garden.
Cheers
Great comment and insights, as usual. Would really like to see videos on your insights to landscape architecture! 👍💯
Thank you. I have lots of plans for this season so I will try to film the process. Cheers
Hi, your garden always looks great. However, I do think your idea is good. Looking forward to seeing it all done at some point 😊
Thank you. Hopefully I can get started soon.
Great idea! And I'd love to see the landscaping part on your videos.
Thank you. My plans get bigger every day so I think I will have lots to
film. Cheers.
Like idea of the path and the wider border . That will look great mate .
Thank you. I feel it will make a huge difference to the garden. Hopefully I can get it done by spring.
Cheers.
Thank you.
I would like to see you landscape your garden, it gives us gardeners lots of new ideas, sure it will look great especially the pond area 😊
Thank you. I feel this project is getting bigger day by day but I’m looking forward to doing it.
Cheers
Yes, to videos about building hardscaping
Thank you. I will definitely film some of the construction as I go along.

@ hope your weather luck continues
Looking forward to seeing the new path. I agree a lawn in the UK at winter is a total mess and a waste of area
Thank you. I’ve spent most of the morning drawing different designs. Each time I do one I make the lawn a bit smaller 😂
Cheers

What about a water feature in the middle of the circular lawn? Whatever you do it’ll look great.
Thank you. I’ve done a few designs today and one has water in what is at present the lawn area so it may happen. Cheers
