Hi. Yeah I like to keep the garden evolving it keeps it interesting for me especially when new and more interesting plants come on the market. I am quite critical of my garden at times but I see it as a positive as it pushes me to improve things for the better. Cheers I appreciate the comment.
Great video as always...my garden is always in a transition. Plant combos that work in your head don't always work when planted. I tend to give then a couple of years then except defeat and rearrange.

Thank you. I agree with hiding the boundaries. My fencing is mainly covered with evergreen shrubs and is painted black to help the foliage stand out. The shrubs do need to fill out a bit more give a more dense feel. Cheers
Lovelly garden, great channel. i would hate to think what a lot of those mature trees cost in the UK. I understand what you are saying, I think the look you are trying to get is the thing that everyone ties to understand and achieve - I spend a lot of time trying to work it out myself, trying to work out where to buy plants, and I live in SE Asia.

Alstromera indian summer is on my list for next year. I am never happy with my garden either ;-) it keeps me busy though! Looking great, thanks for sharing.

I like the look a of a natural garden too, but it can be quite difficult to do successfully. Achieving that balance of not making it look haphazard or messy is tough but I am sure you will figure it out. I know you want to fill all those gaps under large growing plants/tree with taller things, but I personally like the look of those open areas, as they are like small viewing windows into the jungle. If you put some larger plants in then you limit the amount of plants you are able to see in one view. Think of each of those gaps like your lawn area on a smaller scale, it allows you to take in mini vista.
Hi. I appreciate what you’re saying regarding the natural look and it will be a bit of trial and error. I think using good architectural foliage will really help and a greener palette too. I think once I’ve thinned some of the plants out that I no longer want I will get a better feel for how I want to use the spaces. I don’t want it to feel like a tropical style garden anymore. I want it to feel like I’m somewhere truly Tropical if that makes sense. Easter said thank you done. I always appreciate your feedback. Cheers
Sorry I missed last couple videos will catch up. Been busy with some other issues lately. I’m like you I’m anxious to start making changes for next spring as well but best to wait. Think you got some great ideas to try out. Don’t know if we will ever reach utopia in our garden as we always find something we can tweak. I’m at least glad here where I live in panhandle of Florida last date of chance of frost is March 2nd so I have a short season of cold weather to live through. Can’t wait to see more of your plan in action for 2025

Hi and thank you. I originally brought 3 Fatsia Polycarpa Edward Needham Form from a small nursery many years ago in Cornwall. They are not that common as they are grown from seed and tend to be quite slow when young. I have a few plants that I’ve grown from my own seed a couple of years ago but they are still quite small and need to be grown on a bit. An online nursery called Desert to Jungle sometimes has them for sale You can buy a plant very similar called Fatsia Polycarpa Green Fingers which is much more common as I believe it is a Needham Form that was put through tissue culture to make mass clones and called Green Fingers. Personally I don’t think it’s as good as the Needham Form but is still a good plant. I hope the garden make over goes well and any other plant questions feel free to ask. Cheers.
What about a schefflera macrophylla just after the first archway on the left at the back to fill that gap or possibly where you mentioned the waterfall on the right were the bamboo is in the pot on the right? I guess it depends on how sheltered either spot is ideally? Thanks for not mentioning winter too much, just yet. I'm kinda bored of it already on the various Facebook groups etc.
Hi. I have a Macrophylla but still small. I agree it would look good there but I’m not sure I’m brave enough to plant it out. I may pot plunge it through so it looks planted but I can lift it if it gets silly cold. I appreciate the feedback cheers.

Fantastic garden , looks amazing for November . I would hide the fence more with high hedges or climbers so you don’t get drawn to the boundary

Hi. Hopefully not. I don’t protect much unless it gets below-5 Celsius normally anyway apart from my tenders that go in the greenhouse.
