    It's funny that there are professional riders that love the T6 and the polygon bikes.

    These days, mostly money. You may think I’m being a smart ass but I’m being serious. I had two Pivot Switchblades, one 7500 and one 3500. I could ride the cheaper one in all the same trails and was just as fast fast. Lesson learned, for me at least,

    • @AdrenalineIsLife
      @AdrenalineIsLife  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I agree. There is definitely a point of diminishing returns on bikes. Today, $3500 will buy an amazing bike.

      Exactly right you don't need a full sus carbon 7000 dollar bike my 1200 dollar hardtail can be just as fast....

    POLYGON is what the market wants. Affordable and reasonable price point. People can add up some bucks to make it better.

    • @JoshuaMarcAragon
      @JoshuaMarcAragon หลายเดือนก่อน

      And yet, I rarely see Polygon on the trails and it feels like every other bike is a Pivot. I am never in the market for anything over 3500, but people sure seem to be buying the expensive ones.

    It's design makes a bike, time spent getting the shape right is time well spent. It costs just as much to weld a bad design as it does a good design. Drive train technology has tickled down and we are all getting the benefits.

    stop trying to make 1600$ count as the entry point. thats not a budget hardtail. the bobcat trail 3 is budget. the bolinas ridge is cheap. 1600 is insane to get into anything

    One of the best comparisons I have seen. My synopsis of the video, either bike is capable of riding the same trails, the more expensive one just does it a little better, but you wouldn't be disappointed with the 6k cheaper bike.

    Considering the Polygon FAQ: "Can I use it for a technical drop?
    Yes you can for a recommended height up to 1 meter" line I'd kind of worry about the longevity of the bike. A 1 meter drop is certainly more than I'd ride, but not so much more that I'd be happy with that as a suggested ceiling. I don't recall seeing that kind of limitation suggested in the FAQ of other bikes.

    • @AdrenalineIsLife
      @AdrenalineIsLife  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's not correct. They label the T6 "Class 5". Class 5 is 2 meters. Polygon's classifications are at the link below.

    With brands like polygon and YT if you think they are not top tier stuff your just coping because you spent 6,000 on a bike and got the same spec as a 2,000 dollar bike. The t8 or t9 even the collosus you get the highest spec you can buy for 3,000 or less.

      Why do I always see this same comment? Saying a 2k bike is as good as a 6k bike is delusional at best. They aren’t top tier. You’re kidding yourself if you think they are. Spec alone does not make a good bike. But your entire comment is ignorant so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Speaking of coping, the false bravado displayed is an undeniable sign of it.

      @jackalden9527 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@spiffpilot2589interesting reply, very hostile. OP was talking about spec. But I'd add that frame and geometry alone wouldn't be enough for me personnaly to add an extra 4K on a bike. • @andrewbrown8927
      @andrewbrown8927 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @spiffpilot2589 well explain how a n9 has a higher spec suspension, brakes and groupset than most bikes at 6,000. Carbon is no better than aluminum. The only difference is 1 pound.
