- From what we know about nuclear bombs they are the most destructive weapon on the face of the earth. So surviving a blast from a nuke would be extremely unlikely, but surviving TWO would be darn near impossible. In today's educational animated cartoon we look at the lucky man who survived two nuclear bombs and lived to tell about it.

Dropping a second bomb would show without a doubt that we could replicate it again... It took the second bomb to defeat them with urgency. Of course we would have gotten the same result but much longer if we could only build one bomb.
Nah the Japanese emperor had zero intentions of surrender after the first bomb, it was promised that we would just keep bombing them until he surrendered so after the second one, him being a reasonable man resigned to his fate for his people.
