Thanks for the video! I just got my first skates at 48. Me and my lady are going to adult skate jam tonight. Cant wait to learn some of those nice moves you got!
I do rollerblading which is quite different but I found that rollerblading lost me quite abit of weight and i started to tone up abit on my stomach aswell, but then I did speed skating so that's abit different, but idk about this kind of skating
You look so confident and cool 😎. I hope I look half as good as you in a year, I'm just waiting for it to warm up and stop raining. Keep on skating and keep us informed 👍
Awesome!! 🎉Great job!! You inspired me to start again at 60 years old 😊 may I suggest moving away from the concrete wall...get in the open you can skate!! Build up more confidence..!!
I have the same skating background as you!! Finally got my own skates last week & I’ve been skating everyday since 😍 I’m in love with it! Can’t wait to have as much progress as you’ve had in a year!
oh gosh you make it look so easy! I hope I'm where you are in a year; I just started back skating a few days ago and it's challenging BUT it's something I want to do-thanks for sharing
Wow! If I can be able to do all that after a year, I'd be so proud of myself! So I hope you are, cuz it's truly impressive (+ the fact that you did that in a skirt!)❣For the moment, I look like a newborn baby fawn learning to walk, it's quite something...🥴
New skater here… thanks for the motivation. Can you share how you learned? I am struggling quite a bit. I am 1 month in now and it’s been quite a journey. Tips please.
Hi! So almost everything I learned was from a tutorial on @dirtyschoolofskate channel. And she has A Lot. Dirty Deb is an amazing instructor with years of experience. "Beginner for beginner"tutorials are cute but in general they can't explain the in's and out's of why a certain move is clicking or not clicking like a seasoned instructor. And beyond actual tutorials she just gives great advice on skating in general. In her latest video she talks about respecting the process, taking your time, drilling the basics and the skills you DO know and not comparing yourself to other skaters. It resonated so much with me. 🙌🏾 I also really like the @Moxiskates youtube channel, @queergirlstraightskates and @planetrollerskate. I take an in person skating class as well with Skaterobics. They have online classes too. Recording yourself is a great tool in learning too. You might think your knees are bent enough or that you arm positioning was correct and you watch it back and its not the case at all😆 Plus you get too see in real time how much progress you've actually made when you feel like you haven't been improving or hit a plateau.
Awesome! I have been watching a few of Dirty Debs videos and that is where I started my journey from. I know it takes time to get it together and I need to be easy on myself by trusting the process. Appreciate your response. 😃
Everything is personal preference. You can use any skates indoors. People tend to use hard wheels though since they have a better glide. 92a-101a is considered hard. I personally don't like that feeling so i I use hybrid wheels. They are marketed as both indoor and outdoor. They will be in the 80s range in terms of hardness.
Yay! Which ones are you looking at? Also i have a link to get you a little something off at Fritzy Roller Skate shop i.refs.cc/NSEN9X5C?smile_ref=eyJzbWlsZV9zb3VyY2UiOiJzbWlsZV91aSIsInNtaWxlX21lZGl1bSI6IiIsInNtaWxlX2NhbXBhaWduIjoicmVmZXJyYWxfcHJvZ3JhbSIsInNtaWxlX2N1c3RvbWVyX2lkIjo2MzI2MDExMjF9

Awesome progress. 👌 What wheels are you using to roll on that outdoor handball court?
Hey! In this vid I'm using Luminous hybrid wheels. I never do hard wheel outdoors-either a hyrid or soft wheels.
do you feel the moxi lolly give you decent ankle support?
No ankle support at all.
What kind of skates and wheels do I use for indoor rink please
