Brooklyn and Bronx routes for Summer Streets 2024! And with that I hit all five Summer Streets this year. So proud that I pushed through and did it! Bronx and Staten were the toughest in terms of hills and street quality. Brooklyn was the best in terms of street quality. Also mostly flat but its so short! For Queens, the route is flat and short but the scenery it meh. Manhatten is the most chal...

I’m late but you are gorgeous!! Your Claudia cosplay in the yellow dress is stunning.
Liking and commenting for the algorithm and because I need to sit down to watch this later ^^ I love your braids! They look so good on you ✨
What a beautiful location for Ren ❤
Taking in another one of your great videos. Did you adjust the trucks of your skates at any point in your learning progress, maybe at the beginning for balance experiment?🫣 I'm a very beginner and outdoors is attempting to be a nemesis. Wood rink is far, and the streets are so abundant, I'm determined to conquer asphalt. Cracks and pebbles are the crux of the matter. I did invest in a pair of Riedell boot roller skates and outdoor wheels.
That really is so inspiring. What durometer are your wheels? The ones in this video and any other outdoors wheels you use. Thank you for your 🙂👋
Okay blade runner! 🔥🤘🔥 If I sleep the wrong way I thow my back out.
Looks very nice
Where is this roller rink location what state what city
@@whopaul In Brooklyn, NYC
Omg what an amazing venue 😍 how lucky to have this
So I’m getting the concept my feet just aren’t lol at least not smoothly when I try to angle my feet inward I end up moving back too fast. Ntm I’m one foot dominant
I know this is 1 year later, but how are you feeling about the jack boot? I really would like to buy a pair. Are they worth the price? I have so many skates, but I don’t have these YET!! Lol
@@Brooklynbarrile I don't really have a good answer for you. I bought these second hand so they were well broken in. In the state they were in I didn't feel like they were that much more supportive then the lollys.
you don't skate with your slades at the rink??
@@armyreachel nope. I intended to use them for travel but since I cant get used to their flatness, I have mostly used them in case I want to skate somewhere but don't know if its allowed/possible. I think I have a blog up here where I went to a museum that had a nearby trail that I couldn't tell whether it was skateable or not from google maps, so I brought my slades and it turns out that it was so I was able to skate it for a little bit and not be so burdened down afterward when I went inside the museum.
@@armyreachel are you interested in getting Slades or already have them?
@@MaryHadALittleHobby I'm planning to buy slades 🥰
@@armyreachel its a great time to! Slades is having a 40% off sale and then an extra 10% if you get an affiliate code
I really appreciate your process. You are so clean and controlled in your skating. It is so evident that you have built over time. It gives me hope that if I just keep drills and basics I will go forward.
Thank you! Time, patience and giving your self grace. Its supposed to be fun after all❤️

Hello!..Great
@@Thermionman thank you!
Lakeside! I love it there
This one is a really bad habit of mine. I’ve improved a lot, but this one is my persistent bad habit. I just get caught up in the groove and the moves. But here lately the habit has been on its way out. Hopefully for good lol. Also really well explained, and I think you could definitely do more tutorials. You did really great with this one
I went here last week this place was awesome ❤❤❤❤

Very helpful, thanks for sharing! What skating venue are you on? It looks really nice.

Armand directly the play! It was his idea all along. The coven was no threat to him, as we could see he could put them all to sleep with his mind.
All of this looks so easy when other people are doing it but when I tried to go backwards the last two times it was terrifying haha. I rolled like 2 metres and then would freak out. I'll get there eventually though!
you will!
Loveeeed your analysis of all the little details that connect with the next books. I’m so hyped to see Akasha in the flesh and all body thief related stuff. What are you most exited to see in the next season?
Thank you! Excited for all of it! Rockstar Lestat. Gabriellle! Akasha! Mekara and Maharet and if they really dig deep into the story of the twins. How cool would it be to go to Ancient Egypt in this show. I wonder how they are gonna pull off body thief though... I wanna see Sam play a (re)mortal Lestat but for that to work Raglan would have to exorcise Amels essense from Lestat instead of literally take his body...
Nice review. My local rink is temporarily closed. People stopped going because it was so outdated but hopefully it’s for remodeling a they open back up.
@@angellynette8258 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
Girl you look good. I’ve finally got my one foot pivots down. Now I’m working on the grapevine, matrix (part of grapevine), and the crazy legs. I find stretching before and after helps, and at times loosening my plates. Good luck moving forward and I’ll be your accountability partner. We can do this!!!!!
Thank you for reviewing, walking distance from me and will be checking out soon

I love your transition from backwards to forward skating.....beautiful. ❤
thank you!

thank you!
Great tips. Thank you!
thank you!
Really good analysis and beautiful makeup! Glad to have found this video!! One more episode Ughhh! LOL!
thanks so much!
Thanks for the shout-out. I was so distraught after that episode. Louis agreed to Lestat's version of making Claudia a vamp., but why? Was it really true or an olive branch in hopes when Lestat reads the book he'd come to him? 😭
Of course! As for Louis agreeing to the alternate version of Claudias turning idk. Armand gives him a weird look when Louis says 'yea lets go with that version'. Even him saying lets go with that version is kinda dismissive. Is it a version of the truth or The Truth? Then also this isnt even the real Lestats version of events, its a bastarization through the coven trying to make Louis look as horrible as possible.
good job
thanks!
I am so happy for you. You look really good! I just started back after 30 years! Loving every minute of it!
Thank you very much this is awesome.
Glad you liked it! Thanks so much for watching!
13:49 Gurl no :( DV victims don't fit into a neat box like that. That stereotypical image of a cowering woman who is completely helpless and doing nothing to stop the attacks is not really a thing. Realistically, most DV victims will attempt to fight back during the abuse especially if it gets to the point where their lives may be threatened, cos it's human instinct to not want you, you know, die. And it's actually quite a common situation IRL where the father abuses the child, the mother steps in to stop it, and the father turns his abuse towards the mother instead. Exactly how this plays out with Louis, Lestat and Claudia. Saying that it wasn't domestic violence cos Louis fought back and 'started' the fight is wild. Imagine your husband/bf choking out your child, then beating the living shit out of you, and for it to count as DV you HAVE to just take it and not try to fight back in any way. You can hear how crazy that sounds right?
Yeah, exactly! It's abundantly clear that either the writers are writing from lived experience or they just have ABSOLUTELY done their research in regards to DV relationships. They are portraying it very accurately even despite the whole vampire narrative. The perfect victim does not exist. And Louis is absolutely not a perfect victim. None of the characters on this show are. But they ARE all victims in their own way. All of these vampires have been traumatized by SOMEONE in their life, when they were humans or within their vampiric life, and they are perpetuating the cycle of abuse. The show is really really well written... Even in its darkest most dramatic moments.... It's so well written that I have to think that the writers are pulling from their own lived experience of listening to their parents fight about shit constantly(or heaven forbid being in a abusive relationships themselves)... Which makes me sad ...so I just HAVE to hope that they've just really done their research extensively lol. Lestat, Louis, and Armand are all EXTREMELY traumatized individuals... In their source material but also in this show adaptation. It's hard to watch at times... but also really good. Very well written.
Ah! I didn't realize you were doing reviews for the season, but I am here for it. 🔥
You made me realize I have not been sharing them lol. Thanks for checking them out!

Is this an outdoor roller rink! If so amazing! We dont have anything like this in the UK! Well done on practicing your skills. Im only a skating since March so will be drilling basics across the summer then heading back to a Level 2 class in autumn when i need more structure to learn!
Its outdoor but covered which is so great in the summer to have the best of both worlds. And yes! Those foundational skills are sooo necessary!

Looking good Mary!!!! You're an inspiration...I'm out of commission right now-broke ankle while walking down hill with skates on -can't wait to get back out there practicing again and relaxing-miss it so much. Oh I still can go backwards and its been a year; can you do a video? Good luck.
Thank you! And and wishing you a speedy recovery! As for a video about backward skating I did make a video about common mistakes I see and its coming soon! But I'll direct you to the a better source than me. I learned how to backward skate from online tutorials by Dirty Deborah Harry here on YT.
@@MaryHadALittleHobby Oh I watch Dirty she's great! I will start watching again while I'm in my boot-lol-take care
