If anyone is curious, this is Parallel Cannon's special weapon loadout:
Splattershot: Tri-Splashdown,
Blaster: Wavebreaker,
Roller: Big Bubbler,
Brella and Brush: Ink Storm,
Dualies and Slosher: Tenta Missiles
Also, the Dualies and Roller have Curling instead of Splat Bomb
15:23 the square effect on the shots is from the color chip that increases the size of your shots and makes it easier to hit enemies. actually increasing the size of the ink projectiles themselves might have looked strange so maybe that's why they used the square effect.

I suppose it makes more sense to have the squares cause there is a different chip for inking the ground.
it's showing the hitbox instead of increasing the visual ink size; u see this when he dodge rolls and the hologram thingy around it is the hitbox
11:05 you can see what saturations give you via Pause -> Palette check. It'll display everything from the saturation specifically with a star icon on it. Great Vid!
Any time a Jelleton is hit by knockback, they are put in a ragdoll state until they touch the ground. That means with just a bit of it you can stop the slower enemies from winding up attacks (the regular main weapon knockback isn't as good for this, though).
Rush knockback actually pairs quite well with Squid Roll attack, because Squid rolling into enemies can sometimes leave you a bit vulnerable, but with Rush Knockback pushing them away, that no longer becomes an issue. It can also help make space for the dualie dodge roll end lag.

When you get a color saturation pause (+) and then open Palette (x)(bott right). You'll see every chip you have
I recommend doing a luna blaster run with fastshoot speed and ink attack sizes

Dodge rolls do indeed grant you I-frames. And they do stack with each dodge roll so this build will allow you to Sonic all over the place.
Also the reason why explosion radius doesn't affect dodge roll attacks is because the attack isn't an explosion. It's just a spike barrier
you should use the bucket so you can get infinite bonbs with getting all sub saver, splat ink recovery and explosion radius

If you want to Increase the size of the dodge roll, you want Attack Size.

Yes, I didn't dislike the Octo Expansion ones, but I find myself really disliking these ones
Lol sometimes i just can't control them with ink and have to literally turn Eight into sisyphus
They definitely feel very janky, but the inability for them to fall off definitely makes it less irritating than any of the octo expansion ones.
Which I also never had a problem with.
One time i had 4 extra dodge roll chips and i beat the boss so i still havent completed it AND ITS THE LAST ONE I NEED TO COMPLETE THE MOBILITY. Btw i love your vids :)

I once did a dualies run in which I got lucky and had 4 of the dodge roll chips and dodge roll attack, plus a few rush attacks...I completely melted the floor 20 Parallel Cannons boss just by rolling into each one as they came down...it was hilarious.
Tempted to do another dualies run now that I know what a lot of these chips do and how they benefit that set of weapons particularly. [partially by watchin this video, thank you. 💟]
As for how artists pick their characters' skin colours, I can't really say much. I don't really htink about it until later on, unless I'm working off of inspo from something else, like an animal or 'humanizing' some inanimate object. Even then, it's the last thing that comes to mind. I sort of play around with the 'what looks best' idea a lot of the time and run with wherever that takes me afterwar.

all attacks can only have one damage type, so if you know it can be boosted by a certain chip you know it can't be boosted by any other damage type specific chip
also, you can view the chips you got from a chip saturation stage by just looking at your pallete in the menu
The curling bomb’s contact damage (while it’s sliding) is classified as rush damage!

If you wanna do a monotone run with the secondary common color chip, is it better to use the color chip bias hack or not? it's been on my mind but idk what the answer is
base rate is 15% for any ability
1 level of bias boosts main color to 23%
2 leves of bias boosts main color to 30%
for off color: run zero bias

ok so the floor is full of ink and you have no ink on you but you have kraken use it too cover the floor don't jump or charge just cover
