    Nice video! Now I understand why this is happening: because of nad+ for beta oxidation and TCA

    Why not all Acetyl-CoA molecules from betaoxydation do net simply eneter Crebs cycle but are excreted to plasm to undergo ketogenesis and yet agin be excreted to blood ? thank you !

    Hi! I have a question please.
    Why we don't transport the Acetyle.Co.A molecule itself directly to the peripheral tissus that need energy, like the brain ?

    In HMG CoA isn't the 4th carbon the CH2 leading to the C=O (5th carbon) and SCoA? If those groups were included in the backbone chain it would explain the name of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl CoA.

    • @DrMungli
      @DrMungli  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +PhilosopherKingGaming _ :if you carefully look at the HMG CoA structure it is in fact has 5 carbon where 3rd carbon having OH and CH3 attached, but thanks for your question because I have noticed now that I did not release SCOA as CoASH from the molecule, it is still attached at 5th carbon where in fact the 5th carbon should be COO- it is a mistake from my side but other than that the 3rd carbon that is beta Caron has methyl and hydroxyl group.

      @philosopherkinggaming_6980 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry, it just looked like when you went to number the carbons you labelled the 3rd carbon's methyl group as the fourth carbon in the chain, rather than a side group on the larger 5 carbon chain.

      @DrMungli  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      PhilosopherKingGaming _ : now I rewatched that exact part of the video and yes you are right, I carried away myself and numbered methyl group on the 4rd carbon as 4th carbon which is not true and also if you watch it carefully, while saying methyl group and hydroxyl group I was showing 4th and 5th carbon as methyl group which is a mistake from my side. thank you for noticing it. I truly appreciate it. I will add annotation at that point to correct the mistake. thanks again.
