Lovely AP however imo there’s a lot going on - the dial, the bezel, the tourb, it looks better when the dial is simple and the tourb really pops
and of course you have the success of the Casio G-Shock Casioak and now the new kits you can buy for modding. I think taking design inspiration from other designs is fine as long as it is not just a straight forward copy.
Casio history are full of hommage ,they started as Seiko hommage brand basically,irony is that Casio Royale which they sold a shit ton is just a blatant copy of iconic G757!!

This dial isn't new. It was first used on the Millenary line a couple years back I believe.

That's exactly what I was thinking ... there is ZERO chance a guy working at UPS owns an AP Tourbillon. That was clearly a fake. And are there UPS store "owners"? They're just offices with managers, aren't they? In any event, unless it was another customer I seriously doubt the legitimacy of that AP Christian saw in the UPS office.

I hate how we all call it Tag and forget the heritage of Heuer.
Problem number one with Zenith is that their designers seem to have a great looking watch 90% finished then screw it up in the last 10% of their work. There's always some little "off" thing that screws what could have been a great design.
I think part of the design problem with Zenith is that they relied too much on the Elite and El Primero movements. And when those used subdials (El Primero usually as a Chrono, Elite often with 9h sub seconds) in their design they are WAY too close to the center and on anything bigger than 36mm look incredibly pinched together. If the style cycle swings back to very small watches for men Zenith is well positioned there if they hire a new design team (or whichever manager is "tweaking" it right before production).
Hidden tourbillon is cool.. hidden chrono is next level!

I have a Unimatic (LE with Massena Lab) that I bought ~2 yrs ago and have NEVER worn it. In fact I was thinking about selling it recently. Based on Christian's comments maybe I'll put it on the wrist and try it out for a bit.
I actually like Unimatic a lot. I have several. Which one is it? They’ve done several with Massena Lab.

Still pretty new to the watch world, and Breguet is probably my favorite brand. Their guichet and enamel dials are incredible. I wasn't aware of Daniel Roth, but now I am, thank you! They have a similar artistry. Don't know that I'll ever afford one, but I will appreciate them from afar!

If you’re new into the watch world but already know of Breguet, then you had a good start. There is a female (the one living in the UK) with a channel here on youtube which had no idea about Breguet till recently.

Tag Heuer is the working man's Rolex. I hope that isn't too offensive to people that think that Rolex is the working man's Rolex. I've been surprised to find that Tag has a Relex-esque notoriety among the blue collar professionals that I know.

I think while the dial is Grand Seiko-ish, the rest really ain't. We also need to bear with the poor manufacturers, as every year they got to bring up something new and it started to really become an super tricky task to deliver everytime. Sometimes our guys go the slippery route ( not saying any names ) but yo 50mm in diameter is very ambitious😅
