Deathstalkers are so cool.i have 8 Texas barks a vinegaroon and a desert hairy and believe it or not,the vinegaroon is the best and craziest eater even though he's blind
I’m here because i was watching the interview of a coroner who was sharing cases he worked on. One of those cases was an overweight guy who accidentally knocked over his terrarium. He actually fell to the floor and then the terrarium fell on top of him, freeing his desert scorpions which then went on to bite him 6-7 times. The guy never even had the chance to get up and call 911, and died in the same spot.
I've owned tarantulas for years now, and I've recently became very interested in scorpions. They have always freaked me out a bit, but I find them so neat and beautiful!
I recently got a Uroctonus Mordax (Northwest Forest) scorpion which has quickly become one of my favorites! They have mild venom and are so tiny that they can sit on your finger. They’re pretty shy and more likely to run away or play dead when they feel threatened. Their care is similar to that of an Asian Forest. They like a more humid environment and a piece of cork bark to hide underneath. They also curl up like little kitty cats while resting which I find adorable 😊

I’m a vet tech and I was forced to dabble into this section because my kid likes them actually he is obsessed he is the one that watched videos for years day after day 24/7 of scorpions so I started to crack and said okay he can have one (I didn’t tell him ima surprise him) but I had to do so much research cause I don’t get animals or insects without research my hospital does exotics so we can care for them but me with scorpions u won’t see me working that case I’m terrified. So just my luck my kid is obsessed with my fears idk why but I’m not scared of spiders but give me exoskeleton I get weirded out like I’m more afraid of roaches than I am of black widow spiders.. I ordered an emperor from a reputable breeder as a beginner for my son. I can’t lie ima be nervous touching it but I handled horses that where abused so I should be fine in hiding my nervous system but my brain is gunna be freaking out. The scorpion can be nice but idk what it is when they walk on me or other excoskeleton creatures I get the goosebumps and the shivers lmao
i heard 10 gallon setups work, and they are tropical. plants arent required but are appreciated. and make sure they can dig burrows and get enough hiding spots and your good to go

Right now in California Asian Forrest scorpions are the only ones still in pet stores yet they cheap one is $19 😭 they are territorial and more pinchers but take longer to form trust with and to train they will somehow will get stung . 😊

Emperor's are beautiful and I love all scorpions but I need a psychotic scorpion in my life with a nice hit of venom. The Arizona Bark is my current favorite, they're super aggressive and so much fun.Cheers from Las Vegas!!
My dessert hairy is actually the sweetest scorpion of all 7 species I own, he will eat feeders from my hand and always try’s to climb up onto my arm to chill with me, I swear he actually loves me

I have 21 Tarantulas but no Scorpies :( My wife is afraid of scorpions and snakes but loves tarantulas, so I won’t push it; I’m already pretty lucky with a girl that likes spiders! Maybe someday she’ll let me get a scorpion 🦂 🤷🏼♂️

My Blonde Desert Hairy was called Ralph. He was a glutten and ate whatever I put in for him. I overfed him, and he got fat like yours, so I had to put him on a diet. He was great to handle as well.
asian forest scorpion looks better, because slimmer waist makes the large claws look more ridiculously muscular, more v shaped body. they are more aggressive, but that only means they raise their claws more quickly which looks like flexing with the muscles.

I had a big, beautiful emperor scorpion years ago and I loved him! He was huge , about 8 inches long, docile, and became one of my favorite pets ever!
