That's funny, I asked the guy in the pet store what's a good beginner scorpion and he goes asian forest now you are all "known to be aggressive" also another thing I heard someone in a pet shop say "they tell you not to handle all sorts but take tarantulas for example they take those round places for events and have hundreds of people hold them"

A beetle group made me feel bad once about my blue death feigning beetle enclosure they would say I need this and I would show a picture of what they said and no that wasn't right but thays just what you said so but I went to the experts ones that have been doing this for a long time they just said sand or you could get 2 types of sand and mix it so my enclosure has sand and burrowing sand and they are thriving happy it's sad that will people will make you feel bad like this I think you are awesome and love to see your videos

I just got some halloween hissers back in November and they're so beautiful and cute. Mine also get a variety of foods but I do occasionally spoil them with a mini marshmallow or two or a piece of ham. XD

For me I’ve never had a fear of, well any insects actually. Even stuff like wasps. The only insects I dislike are ants but that really has to do more with how numerous and potentially hazardous they are. Especially when I find them around my tortoise, squirtle. But with all other bugs I’ve never really understood the fear of them. And with roaches I’m really the only one in my family or even my friend group who thinks they’re anything more than gross alien monsters. In fact I’ve realized over the years that it seems people just don’t like the word “roach”. Like people seem to like isopods after I say “well it’s a roly poly”. But people are disgusted by small Dubias (despite their similar appearance) after I say “well it’s a roach.” Because they associate the word “roach” with decay. To the point where I introduce hissers to people in conversation as “hissing bugs” sometimes because people don’t think to associate them with cockroaches. I think people’s fear of roaches and real arthropods as a whole is kinda childish. But I try not to judge. My best friend makes me put spiders outside for them lol

I never understood why people feel the need to shame people who clearly care about their animals and are willing to learn. Its one thing if someone isnt willing to change anything, then they should be critisised, but youre clearly not one of those people. Sorry they were so rude to you.

If i got one I'd name it pickle juice for the smell. If I got 2 I'd name one salt and the other vinegar. I love how they just chill walk on you.

I'm thinking about putting my scorpion in an infinity mirrored cube. Would the multiple reflections of itself cause it distress and confusion?

I've had mine for so many generations I've lost count! Just got a few more yesterday to vary up the genes. I love how they crawl on each other like "don't mind me!" Yeah dude any time!" Gonna try out those jelly cups! I saw a zookeeper give them to some marmosets (which totally got them excited) and would love giving my lil hissers something exciting too.

I remember bringing in my pet Black Widow to middle school because my science teacher didn't believe I had one as a pet. He was actually really cool about it, kept it in his class until the end of the day when I took it home. This was back in the early 2000s.

I’m here because i was watching the interview of a coroner who was sharing cases he worked on. One of those cases was an overweight guy who accidentally knocked over his terrarium. He actually fell to the floor and then the terrarium fell on top of him, freeing his desert scorpions which then went on to bite him 6-7 times. The guy never even had the chance to get up and call 911, and died in the same spot.
