    As a Kirby dealer, i advise you that after you finish with the Hard Floor mode putting all the water on the floor, put it on Off mode and lift it up and let the machine work for about 1 minute, when you do that the brush will get dry and after when you pickup the water it will be much better. Good content keep it up

    Just got my avalir multi surface system for my g5 (my old g5 shampoo system tray is broken), but Tile/grout brush won’t work on the older systems so just decided on picking up one off eBay and definitely works great other than the nozzle being plastic rather then cast aluminum but still performs great I like that it has a cover on it so it keeps everything in.

    Thank you! I couldn’t figure out what I’d been doing wrong when I’d tried mine but I think I didn’t secure that rubber band thingy when attaching the floor cleaning roller thing. I’ll have to hook it up correctly and try again. Last time it kept falling out and it wouldn’t suck the soapy water back up

  • @andrewamidala

    I thought it was going to be rubbish but it was really good on large hard floor surfaces. Got out a lot dirt from relatively clean looking floors. Trick is not too much water and run the mop over until virtually dry and your floor is lovely and buffed

    Would that system work on the laminate wood flooring?

    • @KirbyEnthusiast
      @KirbyEnthusiast  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It would but you have to be careful with laminate floor . If it is the green MDF that is moisture resistant, but the standard laminate flooring is normal mdf.which if you got moisture in the joints it would blow your floor .

    • @wildbill23c

    • @wildbill23c
      @wildbill23c 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KirbyEnthusiast HAHA, I had thought about getting one of those steam mops too, then thought better of it, so glad I didn't do that. The flooring I have just snap locks together (tongue and groove) no nails or clue, the seams of course are never water tight. I just use a swiffer sweeper, and occasionally the cleaner that they recommend for it and it seems to do fine, was just thinking maybe a floor system like Kirby has would be good to do once in a while but realize that would have been a disaster. Thank you again for your information and sharing your knowledge with us.

    I’m hopefully gonna have an avalir 2 with the multi surface shampooer buy this summer. I currently have a sentria 2, G5, and a heritage 2. Nothings cleans like these things, not even rainbow, the only good thing about rainbow is its air purification and its ability to put aromas in the air. Rainbows carpet cleaning performance comes nothing close to Kirby’s, nor does the airflow or suction.

    My floors are laminated, is it safe to use the Kirby avalir 2 to mop?

    • @KirbyEnthusiast
      @KirbyEnthusiast  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So long as they are sealed , some laminate floors are plain MDF and not moisture resistant.
      Mine are bamboo I still have to treat them like laminate as such .
      If I get too much water in the joints they would swell .
      I can’t use a steam mop on them either.
      The Kirby mop system is great , so long as you go over the floor drying it properly not leaving pools of water on the joints.
      Hope this helps 👍🛎

    • @KirbyEnthusiast
      @KirbyEnthusiast  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Cee C When vacuuming carpet you should knock down until tone changes then 1 more click down. When mopping with Kirby turned off lower the toe touch until you hear the mop rubbing on floor then this is at correct height . With shampoo system they recommend all the way down. If using Generation series its lower until you here it rubbing on carpet then 1 more click. Think this was due to there being more bristle on the G Series. Hope this helps. This video was so helpful! Thank you! I used the multi- surface system on my vinyl floors for the time tonight. Follow all of your instructions step by step. I think it turned out great. Fairly easy to use too. Any advice for small pools of water left behind? Maybe I used too much water? I tried to suck up those areas a couple of times but didn't seem to work.

      Is it supposed to be on "Off" once you're done mopping and just going back over to pick up the excess water? Or "Off" while mopping?

    Subscribed! I have oak floors. I noticed they don’t recommend using this if the floors aren’t “sealed”. Not sure what qualifies as sealed but wondering if you thought it would be ok? So far I’ve just sprayed the ready to use solution on and did it that way. It works but I would think this way would work even better. Appreciate any advice!

      Hi Jake thanks so much for showing support of my channel. I use it in Bamboo flooring . I’m assuming sealed is laquaured. Our is a laquered floor. If it’s Not sealed from water that’s what they means. I also wax my floor so it is well sealed lol.

    Is it necessary to lay all the water down? What settings do you put the kirby on to spray the floor with the hand sprayer and then mop? I'm thinking I'll spot mop a couple times a week and then really polish the floors as demonstrated once every other week or so. Great video!

    • @KirbyEnthusiast
      @KirbyEnthusiast  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Make sure you set the mop to hard floor , you can lower the setting to put less out by turning it half way between off and hard floor .

      One must really be intrigued /inquisitive/ informed and enthusiastic about your Kirby system.
      Oftentimes people don't get clued up with their Kirby.
      Not tapping into the full potential of the system.
      After some time, they reach for the simple ordinary vacuum cleaner. With just Power on/of,
      just clip open if canisters(etc.) is full ...
      These people loose out to one of the best (if not the best) domestic cleaning systems available.
      The upside of this, some lucky Kirby enthusiast might gain a bargain. (maybe even a freebie)
      But You can learn, right here on this channel. Then you don't have to be the one who loose, for others to win. 😳😁

    I just bought the avalir 2 and using the mop takes so much more time than using a traditional mop. Its a constant back and forth to suck up the water. Its not just a one pass over to suck up the left over water. The vacume is not really designer for moping IMO. Its more of a mess when trying to clean up the water.
