I've worked for 25 years at a Div 1 school. Every year, the student workers I would employ were more ignorant, entitled, misinformed and lazy every. single. year. Every year. 4 year colleges, unless you're after something STEM related is a waste of money. Usually ends up being tax payer's money. Two words: TECH SCHOOL.

You are correct. I've often told people I wish I would have decided to gone into a school to learn plumbing, car painting, etc... A real life skill that is valued and that people are willing to pay for. After all my years of higher education and ending up in the exact same job as others with only a high school education it makes it clear what a waste all that time and energy went towards. Talking about micro-credential programs makes my eyes blur over knowing that the end result students want is to work, make money and live life without being in student loan debt the rest of their life. That's what really matters. In the end no one cares about how many letters follow your name.
