Regarding the clothes, I think it is not just about being 'well dressed', but about being appropriately dressed for the occasion. :) Grooming is definitely important always. But if you wore full black tie on a regular workday, people would probably give you strange looks. What a suit does for men, and a Galla dress for women, is it enhance their masculine or feminine physique. But it also create an appearance of good posture, even if you don't have it in reality. Good posture also signals self worth and confidence, and projecting 'I am a person of high value' to other people. This is actually the main reason why people find suits attractive; it is not just that it shows money/power/success (someone with great skills/mental energy, who have a lot to contribute with, and would be a good connection to have). It is that it enhances all the biologically most attractive things about men. (and the dress does the same for women). When you notice, being 'well dressed' today means to have selected garments of good quality, a look that is aesthetically pleasing and enhances your best features, as well as being well groomed and display good posture/confidence. Good grooming is what makes or breaks the look - not the clothing alone. Additionally, while past societies had a lot of focus on money and power, modern society place more and more value on character instead. Therefore, it becomes a form of power statement to wear baggy clothes and 'not caring' about appearance. The key here is to be well groomed and have good posture, even if you are very casually dressed. People who wear 'power clothes' are more often well groomed and displays confidence, than people who don't. But the 'power' of the suit is more how it makes the man feel about himself, not so much how formal it is. :)
People here forgetting. It's not that you won't or can't be successful if you're short and or not good looking. It's just that it's a disadvantage to be that, which we all know is true. Stop looking for the exception to the rule.

Very rare to see suits here in Hawaii. Years ago 30ish, men had to wear ties to enter most nightclubs. Now barefoot and bikinis seem OK. No matter what, people will flaunt their looks.
As someone who is a little over 6'6'' yes I have seen taller people do well in sports, with women and have been offered more leadership roles. However I have seen shorter men try harder and have more grit in not giving up. But as the Stoics of Stoicism say, you should only think about what is in your control. So for the many times I wished I was shorter when I banged my head in doorway, was on an uncomfortable plane flight, could not find clothes that fit me or have people not want to speak with me because of the large height differential, I refused to even think a thought I had no control over.

Depends on the person who interviews you, her/ his mood at the time, physical needs at the moment, perception also plays a huge role. If a person is hungry will be negative, if had a lunch will be more positive. If the interviewer has biases will also make a difference.
Where do the independent factor in? “Leaders” or “followers” aren’t all there are. I wonder about the perception of strength or status in people who aren’t consciously trying to impress, nor are actively looking to others for cues or leadership.
I do not know about the height dividend because that can partially be answered by parent income and thus diet. But, I mean - overall, we can also say the way one dress is also linked to one socio-economic class and we also have pretty good understand of upward mobility in different countries. In fact, the way you dress is a indeed a class mechanics that gives message to others who is in and who is not in a group. That being said, I do think that better looking folks, and those with above average height probably do better than those who are not...
True that. Better access to nutrition and recreation leads to children growing taller and being more fit. Financial stability can allow for nicer clothes and the purchase of other status symbols. But in the end, it is your character, your beliefs, values, intelligence, and charisma which will help you excel in life.
Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Shakira, Fergie, etc-etc like 1000s of other short people all are extremely successful Talent Willpower and Dedication are the real deal
No one said anything about short people not being able to be successful. It’s just that tall people have an edge in this. Multiple studies show that success has a positive correlation to height
Most times, outer beauty means confidence or a sense of false bravado. But when someone is not attractive to society's standards, but has an overload of self-confidence in themselves irrespective of others opinion, they will stand out of the crowd enough to make an attractive person with a false confidence loose that "confidence".
This is interesting but unfortunately really only covers a certain type of 'success'. Certain type of appearances (which fits within someone's stereotype of 'that type of person' should look) is the 'easier' and fastest method to gain trust and favourability. So, actually, this is an essay on how appearance affects trust and favorability than it is about success as 'success' is subjective.
Rich people tend to be taller due to generation's of better nutrition. This is a large reason for the disparity. Also theres a supposed link between height and intelligence.
Height absolutely contributes to tall people being selected for and given opportunities to succeed that are not afforded to equally qualified shorter people. Spend any amount of time around people who are taller and the difference in the way people treat them preferentially is plain as day.

It also helps to be born into one of the most wealthiest families in South Africa. That helps.
What an interesting informative video! Thank you, Mr. Navarro for all the informatotion you provide!

There’s limb lengthening surgery as well as shortening surgery, i’m gonna be 6’3” and still wear 3” shoes to be 6’6”, but it’s true you should focus on what you can change
I like his speech calm soothing yet informative. Thanks mr fbi.
Misleading the height association to senior executives, as they earn a good salary only. What about successful entrepreneurs? Most seem to be shorter than average and earning way more than senior executives..
that is quite true 😂
indeed in a rigid corporation combining height with performance can get one far i imagine.
a shorter person has to be significantly better to match height in such an environment but thats where it ends
Very informative interesting thanks for sharing this

Depends on the person who interviews you, her/ his mood at the time, physical needs at the moment, perception also plays a huge role. If a person is hungry will be negative, if had a lunch will be more positive. If the interviewer has biases will also make a difference.

“ Let’s take what we have and let’s see what we can do with it “
Basically what we have in hand is to learn how to be properly dressed and how to carry ourselves publicly.
Height and attractiveness don't guarantee success, but it gives you an edge over the competition if you're taller and better looking. Sad but true.

Where do the independent factor in? “Leaders” or “followers” aren’t all there are. I wonder about the perception of strength or status in people who aren’t consciously trying to impress, nor are actively looking to others for cues or leadership.
Yep. I also belong to the independent group. I don't idolize anyone and follow the beat of my own drum and don't want to "lead" anyone.
Tall people hater
Japan and Korea is an example how better nutrition improve height. Compare their pre world war height and the current modern height.
There is something called mindset and strategy they are above any beauty and appearance. (Im 1,95cm )

Thank you for sharing such interesting topics, I really admire this man. 👏
Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Shakira, Fergie, etc-etc like 1000s of other short people all are extremely successful
Talent Willpower and Dedication are the real deal
Natural selection, make beautiful babies. Culture & attire just enhance them.
I am short and thus unattractive. But i am happy and thats what matters most.
Height does not make you more successful, being born into a rich family is the key. Easy

Do we really need an expert to tell us the way you look affects your life?
Yes
Some people would appear oblivious to this
He is wrong. You're posture is more important. Two similar looking person can look attractive and ugly.
Kate moss is unattractive. But symmetry and her posture and behavior make her beautiful. While the women with Biden has symmetry. But her posture is bad making her less attractive. You personality actually cap it off.
People build their personalities by how we look like. But get more comfortable with your body. Stop slouching. Stop moving awkwardly. If you make a movement commit. Don't over think. Be sure of yourself and I guarantee you will be more attractive. Your insecurities are not cute to people who are not insecure.

I am physically ugly and I don't like ugly people but ugliness fades away when they are confident like me .
It’s a great lesson on branding
When I joined the Marine Corps infantry, I weighed 112 lbs at 5’11”. I got picked on and beat up a lot my first year. I jumped on the juice train & blew up to 190 lbs with 4.5% body fat in less than 8 months. The way I was treated was night and day. I didn’t change anything other than my physical appearance.

what is success?
Only thing that matters is if you are tall, handsome, have a good build, posture and confidence. Rest is secondary
Bro there are so many successful celebrities like literal legends who are not that tall but have just pure talent like Jackie Chan, Ariana Grande, Lady gaga, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise , Bruno Mars, Shakira and Natalie portman so yeah don't feel insecure about your height❤
interesting, thanks for the info
Luckily I have never figured out the purpose of money or power so I get to dress and look any way i want to.
Money is a tool
Hair is a bigger indicator of success. If a man has great hair, that will greatly help them in life.
I know many men who are super successful and they all have one thing in common, great head of hair, whether they are short or average looking. However, at least half of them appear to be narcissists with little integrity.
